Systems of energy efficient buildings
Šlampová, Kateřina ; Horák, Petr (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is systems of energy efficient buildings with a focus on the building envelope. The first theoretical part describes the quantities that we consider when designing the building envelope. The second half of the theoretical part is with reference to the experimental part of the thesis focused on a special type of vertical perimeter structure, namely walls with live vegetation installed from the outside of the structure. The second, practical part of this work, deals with the design of heating and hot water supply for a multifunctional building. The design is elaborated in two variants - heating by means of radiators in the first variant and in the second variant by means of floor heating for residential units of the solved building. The third part define an experiment, which had the task of comparing the measured quantities on two types of vertical perimeter structures, namely a structure with growing greenery from the outside and an identical structure only without a layer of greenery. At the same time, the task was to check the possible influence of the applied greenery on heat losses, and thus the design of the heating system.
Energy retrofit of a stand-alone house
Stupka, Jaroslav ; Pech, Ondřej (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of the master’s thesis was to design heating, ventilation and cooling systems and to evaluate possibility of using renewable sources in case of a reconstructed two-storey family house. Air to water heat pump and floor system were designed to ensure both heating and cooling supply in the building. A heat recovery ventilation system was proposed. Gains of electrical energy from photovoltaic array were calculated and then possibility of coverage the heat pump consumption was evaluated. The thesis contains required calculations including building heat losses, heat gains, air exchange rates and the dimensioning of all mentioned systems. Technical drawing is also comprised.
PCM-based heat and cold storage
Němec, Lukáš ; Ostrý, Milan (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
In the first part of the bachelor thesis I will deal with the accumulation of heat and cold using materials with phase change and also the design of a PCM storage tank. The aim of my effort is to design the most ideal spacing of tubes in a given tank, so as to achieve the greatest possible heat capacity. I performed simulation experiments in CalA 4.0. The second part is computational, where I focus on the design of heating in the pension. I solve heating with an air-to-water heat pump. I designed solar collectors for hot water heating. The last and third part is the project, which contains the project documentation together with the technical report.
Heating of nursery school building
Nečas, Lukáš ; Adam, Pavel (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of a kindergarten heating. The theoretical part presents the heat pumps. The calculation part describes a specific design of heating for kindergarten for 54 children by a low-temperature system with a combination of underfloor heating and radiators, a proposal for the preparation of hot water and other necessary equipment of the system. A system of two air-to-water heat pumps is designed as a heat source. Forced ventilation is provided by an air handling unit. The building is designed as a building with almost zero energy consumption
Housing for Seniors
Pilík, Václav ; Blažková, Vendula (referee) ; Daněk, Lukáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis is elaboration of project documentation of the object Housing for seniors in Brno - Dolní Heršpice. The site is located un the area with the planned development of the city. The object is detached, three-story with a partial basement. The building is divided into five parts. The building is based on concrete foundation pads and strips. The structural construction is a combined column and wall system in technological design as monolithic concrete. The building is designed as a low energy building, with contact insulation (ETICS). The whole building is designed with forced air exchange. An extensive and intensive walkable flat roof is designed. The aim is to create small, barrier-free, community housing with affordable services and support, with a possible life expectancy. Services for the elderly with reduced self-sufficiency and with mild health and mental dysfunctions are considered. The building is equipped with space for accommodation with a capacity of 48 beds, space for eating with a separate kitchen, space for leisure and physical activities, space for basic health and social care and space for administrative and technical facilities. The construction is divided into several buildings, the subject of the thesis is primarily the solution SO.01 - Housing for seniors
Heating of flat house
Jára, Marek ; Vendlová, Lucie (referee) ; Topič, Jan (advisor)
The theme of this diploma thesis is to design heating of the flat house. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis is about exhaust gases paths. The calculation part of this diploma thesis contains the design of the heating system by panel heaters, floor convectors and underfloor heating system. The heat source is the system of cascade-connected gas condensing boilers. The rest of this part are the calculations of the preparation of hot water, design of hot water storage tank and another necessary equipment of the system. The part Project is about technical report and simulation of behaviour of underfloor heating system in various marginal conditions.
Heating of kindergarten
Železná, Karolína ; Komínek, Petr (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The objective of the bachelor thesis is a nursery school heating system design. The first, theoretical part, introduces the topic of underfloor heating. The computational part describes the design of a low-temperature heating system combining radiators and water underfloor heating, the design of a hot water preparation and other necessary equipment. Two air/water heat pumps are designated as energy sources. Ventilation is mechanical by air conditioning unit. The school is designed as a nearly zero-energy building.
Heating of the sports center
Fuksa, Lukáš ; Horká, Lucie (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
Subject of this bachelor thesis is the design of heating in sport centre. Thesis includes three parts. The first theoretical part solves available ways of heating of large spaces and hall objects. The second calculations part solves design of heating in sport centre. This part includes heat loss, design heating surfaces, hot water production, dimensioning, safety equipment and other calculations. The third part solves drawings with technical report.
Heating of apartment buildings
Diatel, Jakub ; Horká, Lucie (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The topic of this diploma thesis is heating of apartment buildings, where an attention was focused on thermal comfort in heated rooms. The first theoretical part brings results of CFD simulations which compare radiators with floor heating. The second part consits of practical application o the given building. There are two options in this project - heating by radiators or floor heating. The third part describes two experiments - measurement of indoor environment in two rooms and measurement of gas consumption in apartment buildings with different heating concepts. In the last part the mean radiant temperature is simulated. There are compared different kind of heating, which have impact to distribution of mean radiant temperature in the room. The personal software was created for deeper understanding of mean radiant temperature.
Optimizing The Design of Dry Floors
Hlavsa, Petr ; Chybík,, Josef (referee) ; Klečka,, Tomáš (referee) ; Tuza, Karel (advisor)
This dissertation deals with the optimization of the dry floor design by solving the innovative floor composition supported by the development of a new floor element, doing so from the point of view of building physics – especially the heat and mass transfer in buildings – with the consideration for the benefits for acoustics. It is aimed at dry floors application to modern timber structure. In the area of heat and mass transfer in buildings, the impact of thermal stability of rooms and its increase in the use of a new floor structure is investigated with the inclusion of a proposed element improving the thermal storage capacity of the floor. All this in the context of ensuring the possible floor heating integration. In the evaluation of thermal stability in rooms, those operating conditions that are accompanied by interrupted heating, are considered to be key. After describing the current state of solving this issue, the main focus of this dissertation is its own development and design of a specific floor element and its integration into the floor composition. An important part of the dissertation consists of related numerical simulations, its own experiment, relevant measurements in the experimental object, and their evaluation.
