Project management in BI

Project management as a branch is nothing new, that doesn't mean that there is not the possibility of improvement or implementating of new methodics in this field. The goal of the opening theorethical section of this work is to explain the problematic of the project management in IS/ICT in general as well as partially in the BI enviroment. In this section the reader is going to learn from which activities project management consists, what documents or templates in which stage of the project are commonly used, as well as some practical examples from project management practice. The rest of this work is then focusing on implementing the theoretical knowledge from the opening section into the practice of the real project in SYSTIXT, ltd. (the name of the company is made-up, the real one wished not to be named in this work). The main output from this section is the concept of the project management plan of this project (some of the parts are done in MS Project 2007). Very important output of this practical section is also creating of some templates for project management that will suit the forementioned company needs. A part of this section is also evaluation of current practices in project management in the SYSTIXT ltd. and the proposal of some changes in this field.

Costs Analysis & driving costs of GE Medical Systems Information Technologies GmbH

Purpose of the thesis is to compare theorethical base to actual system of driving costs and analyses in the existing environment of GE Medical Systems IT company producing medical equipment of cardiology, maternal infant care, respirators and ultrasound field. Costs are driven from two different perspectives - capability accounting, where methology of standard costing is applied, and responsibility accounting. Consequently particular variances are analyzed for period 2006 - 2008 and identified differences from operationg plan. Conclusion is the evaluation of recent driving costs system.

Aspekty pojetí risk managementu v pojišťovně

Předkládaná bakalářská práce se nejprve zaměřuje na vymezení teoretických východisek risk managementu, rozebírá pojem riziko a charakteristiku rizik finančních institucí zejména pojišťoven. Dále je popsán termín risk management a jeho fáze v obecné podobě. Praktická část práce se zabývá pracovní náplní útvaru risk management v pojišťovně. Analyzuje, jaká jsou nejdůležitější rizika pro posuzování, která by mohla pojišťovnu při jejich realizaci nejvíce ohrozit, jak probíhá celková práce s riziky, jak se posuzují. V závěru je uvedena riziková zpráva pro práci risk manažera a doporučení vyplývající po posouzení rizika klientům.

Application of Kickbiking for Visually Impaired People

Title: An application of kickbiking for vizual impaired people Aim: Development of method of training and guiding for vizual impaired people kickbiking. Practical demonstration of this method by author. Method: During the collection of materials for the first approach toward the problem an exploratory method for kickbiking and comparative method to vizual impaired people training were used. Data were obtained primarily from both printed and digital sources. Further information were collected from personal conversation and well aimed questions. The demonstration was performed by two people (visual impaired plus guide) and the most important moments were video recorded. Results The training and guiding method was developed using theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the fields of athletics, skiing, cycling and another activities for visual impaired people. It was modified on the basis of the experience acquired from kickbiking. The final version of this method was demonstrated by a visual impaired of category B2 and a guide and the most important results are discussed. Professional users demands on legal information systems: comparison of systems relevant for Czech juridical environment

Tématem práce JSOU systémy právních informací relevantní pro české právní prostředí. Cílem práce je formulace požadavků odborných uživatelú na takové systémy, zpracování nutných teoretických východisek a následná analýza jednotlivých systémú a jejich srovnání. Práce se věnuje jak teoretickým základúm informačního chování, tak otázkám tvorby práva, formám jeho vyjádření a interpretace. Popisuje rúzné typy právních dokumentú a jejich typické vlastnosti. Dále se zabývá specifiky právního jazyka a problematikou vyhledávání v automatizovaných systémech právních informací. Popisuje, analyzuje a srovnává vybrané systémy právních informací, hlavně systémy ASPI, LexGalaxy a EUR-Lex, včetně jejich hodnocení.

Extension of the Consolidated Group for the Selected Group

The master’s thesis focuses on the issue of the consolidated financial statement of WOOD-FOREST GROUP a. s.. On the basis of theoretical knowledge referred to in the first part of the work is then reviewed consolidated group and its changes are made. Due to insignificance selected subsidiaries not included in the consolidation and the preparation of a new consolidated financial statements is made. At the conclusion are evaluated the impacts of the changes by using selected indicators.

Internalisation of Czech press

This paper is to be considered a contribution to critical media analyses. It is based on the thoughts of Herman and McChesney (1997). It is an effort to apply their thesis about global media systems on the example of Czech newspapers. The core of the paper is comparative content analysis of three major dailies in 1994 and 2004. The analysis verifies the trends that according to Herman and McChesney characterises the development of mass media. Those are concentration and consolidation of capital on the newspaper market, and commercialisation, globalisation, tabloidisation and homogenisation of the contents of the dailies. The analysis has been conducted on the sample of 20 issues of each title in each year. It brought results that partly confirm and partly contradict the theory. The trend of concentration of capital has been observed. The rate of Czech capital on the newspaper market is as low as 15%. The rest is divided among few foreign (mostly two German) companies. The reason of this situation is identified as lack of legislative protection of the newspaper market in the transformation processes in the 90's. The trend of tabloidisation and commercialisation of the contents of the dailies has been proven too. There is no doubt this has negative effects for the public sphere. Aesthetic Feeling of a Mentally Handicapped Person

Název: Estetické cítění člověka s mentální retardací Aesthetic feeling of a mentally handicapped person Cíle práce: Cílem této práce bylo zabývat se specifiky a vlivy působícími na estetické cítění člověka s mentální retardací, prozkoumat a popsat estetické cítění pěti lidí se středně těžkou mentální retardací, vyhledat a charakterizovat jeho výrazné rysy. Metoda: Při zkoumání estetického cítění člověka s mentální retardací jsem vycházela z teoretických východisek, případové studie spojené se specifickým programem pro zkoumání estetického cítění pěti lidí se středně těžkou mentální retardací a z vlastních zkušeností. Výsledky: Výsledky šetření byly velmi různorodé a hypotézy se potvrdily jen částečně. Z toho vyvozuji závěr, že mentální retardace nemá přímý vliv na estetické cítění a i u lidí s postižením je otázkou výrazně individuální.
