Formula Car Frame Alternative Design
Škaloud, Martin ; Dundálek, Radim (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma work focuses on the proposal of formula car support frame type alternative designed for international students´ competition Formula Student. As a first is this competition shortly described. Following basic information about possible support frame in competition, the rules description for the frame from thin-walled profiles as well as for composite structure. As the other are shown the most used material types by the tube frames. Continues the practical (design) part of the work. The work continues in construction/design part. Here are mentioned the requirements for the frame creating, calculation of each torsion strength and construction proposal including creating the analysis model. In the final part is realize the simulation in FEM program and simply described the alternative proposal together with the evaluation.
Formula Student Chassis Rear Part Design
Hajer, Václav ; Svída, David (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with description of the design of the rear of the vehicle structure of Formula Student processed by using a 3D CAD system. Formula have to fulfill all requirements Formula Student rules. The requirements and rules are given by building of engine and other considered engine components. The final version of the design of the rear part is assembled with the supplied front and the computational model is created to simulate the torsional stiffness of the FEM system. Another analysis model is created for a foreign supplied frame construction. Both of these frames are in terms of torsional stiffness evaluated and mutually compared. There are also mentioned selected Formula Student rules and overview of the formula frames and their overview.
Formula Student Front Chassis Part Design
Lhota, Martin ; Svída, David (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
Martin Lhota Formula Student Front Chassis Part Design DW, IAE, 2011, 75 pp, 62 pics The aim of the thesis is to suggest a suitable configuration of Formula Student Car’s front part of a frame according to current rules of SAE organization in the Formula Student competition. In this proposal low weight, manufacturability and sufficient torsion rigidity were preferred, whereas previously suggested solutions were reflected. At first there is presented a list of important SAE rules for the construction of front part followed by a short recherché of development of the constructional solution of frames and frames suitable for Formula Students car. Secondly there is described process during frame construction design and its computational model for the analysis which simulates torsion with the support of MKP system. Gained results and some parameters of the frame are compared with similar version of the frame construction which was suggested and made for the first Formula Student Car of our University. Moreover, there is also presented summary of suggested frame and also recommendation with possible alternatives for the next development.
Formula Student Vehicle Frame Optimization
Krkoška, Kamil ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis was to create optimalizated frame design for Formula Student/SAE. Basic requirements were, that new design must meet the newest Formula Student/SAE rules and other various requirements. In the thesis are built up an overview of most important rules and also an overview of previous frame designs. Next are described design process of the new frame and its stress analysis in FEM software. Main attention is given to analysis of torsional stiffness. The results of analysis are compared to previous frame designs and to parameters of Formula Ford. There are also given recommendations and other possibilities for further frame design development.
Design Aplication for Technical Analysis and Building Own Trading Strategy
Olejník, Peter ; Luhan, Jan (referee) ; Novotná, Veronika (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on technical analysis, which is used for forecasting the future trends of stocks. In the first part of master’s thesis are described theoretical basis, which are a base of practical part of this thesis. Next part of this thesis describes the design of application designed to support the technical analysis. Main part of this master thesis deals with building own trading rules and trading strategy.
Knowledge representation methods
Verbík, Josef ; Polách, Petr (referee) ; Jirsík, Václav (advisor)
This thesis deals with methods of knowledge representation within expert systems. The thesis describes the expert systems and their history. Furthermore, it provides a description of individual types of expert systems and their components. Following this description, there is a characteristic of the knowledge representation. These characteristic has been divided into two parts. The first part describes the requirements neccessary for efficient knowledge representation. The second part describes the following individual methods of knowledge representation: rules, frames, semantic nets and predicate logic.
Testing of QoS support in experimental data network
Fogl, Miroslav ; Škorpil, Vladislav (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
This work deals with the qualitative requirements on services in IP networks based on technology Ethernet. We describe basic methods for imposing quality control mechanisms on services within networks. We elaborate on the ways, in which packets can be handled, overload controlled and transfer speed in network elements limited. Attention is given also to the Network Layer and Link Layer. Based on concrete specifications of network devices in UTKO laboratory an experimental network was designed and constructed. Network consisting of routers and switches linked several servers with client stations. Various types of data transfers (VoIP, HTTP, FTP, video) were generated. Several techniques for handling packets with different priorities were verified and compared. We observed that, in situations when connections are under full load, implementation of QoS support in the network becomes very important. This observation was confirmed by measurements. We also measured the parameters of the system during simulations of various situations, such as overload of a connection due to unsolicited operations or failure of a connection between routers. In order to guarantee the quality of services it is necessary to create a domain, in which rules are consistently observed in all network elements.

The effect of the rules change in 2010 on shooting of NBL players
SVOBODA, Václav
The aim of our diploma thesis is to identify and evaluate the impact of rules changes in 2010 on success of two-point shooting and three-point shooting between selected Czech and foreign players taking part in National Basketball League who have met with our specified conditions in examined seasons 2009/10 and 2010/11. There are following methods used in the very research in the empirical part: Student´s paired t-test, Two-sample F-test, Student´s unpaired t-test of equality of variances and Size of effect. The results of these tests has statistically confirmed our hypotheses H1 and H2 it means decreasing of two-point shooting success in season 2010/11 for all examined players and reducing of success at three-point throws between players with Czech nationality. On the contrary, it has not confirmed the hypothesis H3, thus increasing of three-point shooting success in season 2010/11 between foreign players. Substantively, I consider as a essential result the 20,1% impact of the rules changes on success of three-point shooting for players of Czech nationality.
The influence of project based learning on students' attitudes to instruction
KUBATOVÁ, Marie
The dissertation is focused on changes in an attitude and initiative students at secondary special school with gastronomy orientation to study special subjects after realization a creative project: "Welcome Day - Day of Open Door - Halloween." The target group are students of Secondary School and College for Tourist Industry in České Budějovice. The dissertation is divided into fifth chapters. I the first two chapters different opinions of experts in teaching methods, classical and alternative methods of education and teaching, teachers competence and authority participation, experimental education are compared. The thirds chapter contains proposals for topics of project learning in schools with gastronomy orientation. There is an enumeration of folk traditions and their connection with the culture and gastronomy. The fourth chapter describes the project realization in Secondary School and College for Tourist Industry in České Budějovice. The fifth chapter contains the research targets, the research methods and interpretation of research results. The target of the dissertation is questionnaire comparison of students' attitudes after realization the project learning. The research assumptions are that students appreciate extension special subjects of folk traditions and do not reject to participation in the pro?ject realization.
