A contrastive study of -ingly adverbials with special regard to disjuncts
Jarkovská, Martina ; Dušková, Libuše (advisor) ; Voráček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Malá, Markéta (referee)
The present study is concerned with -ing participle base adverbs as one realization form of this word class and their Czech equivalents. The focus of our study is on -ingly adverbials especially in their sentence modifying function. Sentence modification is present in both languages, English and Czech; however, based on morphological and syntactic differences between the two languages, the means of Czech and English sentence modification do not always correspond. Above all, this is caused by the fact that -ingly adverbials, a productive class of disjuncts evaluating the content of the clause from the speaker's point of view, structurally more or less do not have Czech corresponding counterparts. In English -ing participle base adverbials can be regarded as condensed forms of clausal realization (surprisingly ~ it is surprising). Although in Czech such adverbial forms are structurally possible, they are not in common usage (překvapující ~ *překvapujícně). This often results in applying different means of attitudinal evalution as counterparts of -ingly disjuncts. Therefore a primary interest of this work is a comparison of morphological, syntactic and stylistic differences in the sentence modification between English and Czech. Unlike in Czech where the word order is flexible, in English the position of a...

Comparison of design classic and smart wiring of house
Valo, Marek ; Novotný, Jan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
This work contains requirements for the design of high-voltage and low-voltage classic and smart wiring. The aim of this work is to implement a project of classic and smart wiring for house and their subsequent comparison. In the beginning is introduction to wiring as such, insight into history, a brief presentation of contemporary species of wiring. The following chapter provides an analysis of high-voltage systems and criteria in its designing, which is based on the currently valid standards. The chapter contains also a brief excerpt dealing with ways of storing wires in buildings and installation zones individual rooms. Chapter of system wiring briefly describes the idea of this kind of wiring and its function. Introduction is focused on explanations of the system wiring, then the chapter directed to a specific producer used in the design of the project itself. In the chapter number five the problem of low voltage wiring and methods for their design are analysed. The following section deals with the design of wiring own project (classic and system) for a family house, designing switchboard, budgeting and technical reports. In conclusion, these two types of wiring are compared in terms of design, project documentation and budget. The practical part is dedicated to creating drawings containing high-voltage and low voltage wiring, switchboard scheme, budget, calculating illuminance and technical reports. The project documentation is discussed further in the technical report.

Word-formation by ablaut vs. word-formation by suffixation in diachrony
Hejná, Michaela ; Klégr, Aleš (referee) ; Čermák, Jan (advisor)
The present bachelor thesis deals with word-formation by ablaut vs. word-formation by suffixation in diachrony, namely in Old and Middle English. The reason for choosing this theme lied in its general marginalization in grammar books, in which the reader finds detailed descriptions of the grammatical function of ablaut in Old and, to a lesser extent, also in Middle English. The aim of the thesis was to describe ablaut formations during these two stages of the language in a typological perspective. The analyses focus on introflectional features of the roots of the formations and show the decrease in various combinations of the individual realizations of the roots that display ablaut with inflectional (-a, -e, -o/-u; -) and purely derivational, agglutinative, suffixes (-lic; -full; -scip; -had; -d, -t, -). The thesis further focuses on whether the various realizations of the roots are connected with the selected suffixes also semantically, i.e. whether there exist formal and/or semantic correspondences in the combinations. The analyses themselves were preceded by determining morphologically related families on the basis of the Dictionary of Old English: A-F, the most recent and detailed dictionary of Old English, which covered entries under the letters A-F when our analyses were carried out. The same was done...

Annotation: Thish work deals with the models of church unity, as they were de- fined and developed during modern ecumenical movement throughout the 20th century. It describes three basic models -the cooperative-federal model, the or- ganic union, and the model of mutual recognition - and centers around the last one. Some known realizations of the mutual recognition model are presented and discussed (Leuenberg Agreement, Porvoo Common Statement, Meissen Common Statement), together with the ecumenical position of the Roman Catholic Church. Keywords: ecumenism, models of unity, communio, Leuenberg Agreement, The Porvoo Declaration

Applications of stereology for characterization of nanomaterials grain structure
Šedivý, Ondřej ; Ponížil, Petr (referee) ; Beneš, Viktor (advisor)
The inner structure of materials is usually studied through the realization of suitable geometric sample, which is most often a plane section. Spatial characteristics are then estimated with the use of standard stereological methods. In the presented thesis a model of Voronoj tessellation generated by an adequate point process is used for ultra-grained materials' structure. Every tessellation cell is given its orientation attribute which represents the position of crystal lattice inside. The developed computer model allows to generate a tessellation with oriented cells according to a wide range of elective parameters, to perform the section of the structure and to calculate basic shape and size quantities with the purpose of further statistical processing. Its next function is to visualize the orientations in a pole or an inverse pole gure and to nd out the prevailing directions in the structure. Besides examining stereological methods, basics of point processes and theoretical properties of tessellations, a brief introduction into inner structure of crystal materials is included as well. Furthermore, the thesis involves the explanation of basic principals of their investigation using modern electron microscopes. The colorful picture supplement involves graphical simulation-outputs as well as samples of...
