Business model in the era of Industry 4.0

Industry 4.0 is the current trend of automation and increasing digitalization of wide range of processes. This trend brings about a revolution in manufacturing technologies, but also has its challenges that influence the labor market. The thesis introduces the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) and provides the most important information for its understanding. It also allows to understand the specific characteristics of business models in the digital society and it clarifies the theory of maturity models. These serve as a basis for assessing the company's level of maturity in relation to Industry 4.0. The next section contains a proposal for improvement of the business model in food manufacturing company. For this purpose, the production process and related processes are analysed and the current situation is evaluated according to the Industry 4.0 requirements. Based on this evaluation, the problematic areas are selected and their specific improvements are proposed. In addition, the work includes a proposal of specific steps that a company must take to be prepared and take advantage of the era of Industry 4.0.

The goal of this thesis is to create a credible business plan, which can be used in real life as needed by the entrepreneur, for his or her internal use. Theoretical part of the document contains methodology of business model and data collection. Practical part describes specific business plan, which contains analysis of market, customer, competition and suppliers. Chapters related to marketing, human resources, implementation schedule, financial plan and SWOT analysis are also included.
Development of business models in the field of sports services: Ski schools

Práce analyzuje vývoj business modelů v oblasti poskytování sportovních služeb. Konkrétně je zaměřena na lyžařské školy. V úvodní rešerši postupně představuje základní pojem business model a jednotlivé přístupy od různých autorů. Dále popisuje postupný vývoj poskytování sportovních služeb v turistických regionech. Výzkumná část práce obsahuje čtyři případové studie konkrétních lyžařských škol z různých oblastí, které odráží současné trendy ve sportovním průmyslu. První tři případové studie analyzují vývoj lyžařských škol, založených před rokem 1990. Případová studie nově vzniklé školy poukazuje na změnu aspektů, které vedou k založení školy v dnešní době, a poskytuje v této oblasti návod pro začínající podnikatele. Pro analýzu business modelů jednotlivých škol byl využit model Canvas. Závěr výzkumné zprávy je zpracován formou specifické analytické techniky cross-case.
How IOT changes business model of Microsoft

The main goal of this thesis is to discover how an emerging technological megatrend, the Internet of Things, changes the business model of the Microsoft OEM team. OEM business is fully dependent on sales of Windows licenses; however, the PC market is declining and whole Microsoft is shifting into offering of cloud services while being financed by the OEM revenues. Nevertheless, the strategy of how the OEM team fits into the future of cloud offerings is clearly missing. To discover what changes should be made inside the current business model, 13 interviews with managers across Microsoft were conducted and analyzed. Identified themes were assigned to business model building blocks, ranked by the importance, and supported by relevant quotes from interviews as well as the theoretical background. The most important subjects of changes were identified as partners, activities and value proposition; however, changes will be seen in every aspect of the OEM business. As a result, specific changes in building blocks are described and the first steps towards the Internet of Things strategy suggested. That will ensure the relevance of the conservative OEM team in the connected future.

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the actual condition of a discounting portal Pepa.cz in the fields of marketing, customer relationship management, human resources and also some layout and measures to ensure the prosperity of the bussiness. In the theoretical part of this work the basic definitions are explored through description of the control areas. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of individual areas of management, where the results of the analysis are presented as proposals and measures, which lead to increase the competitiveness.

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to analyze the business model of the web application to assess and design the MVP (minimum viable product). The aim of the bachelor thesis was to analyze the business model of the web application for assessment and design of a minimally viable product. The Web application has the ambition to become a global community platform that will be the standard for capturing, researching and preserving artifacts in a digitized form. Based on these goals, the bachelor thesis was divided into two theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part was defined the project, strategy and methodology that we will apply in the practical part. The Lean Canvas business model was used to meet the goal. With the description of nine complementary elements of the model, it will be possible to design a solution that could be implemented to create a minimum viable product. This conclusion was contributed by partial analyzes, with the main aim of knowing the targeted segment of users.

The aim of this thesis is to analyze business model of company, analyze its shortcomings and create effective plan of changes which lead to development of the company. Business model which is used in this case is specifically business model Canvas, which became very popular in recent years not only in the field of business. The theoretical part deals with problematic of business models itself its innovation in details business model Canvas is described. In the practical part I apply business model Canvas on Jadberg company analyze its marketing activities its competition and other processes of the company. Based on this findings and knowledge it is created strategic plan which can be implemented in the proximate months.

The graduation theses applies itself to business model analysis of the company Aircraft Industries, a.s. which run a business in production and sales of small civil aircrafts L-410. The company is struggling with period full of uncertainty which caused the fall of sales, fabrication restriction as well as loss in trading incomes. Unfortunately, according to some analysis performed in the diploma work, the current problems have not been caused just by contemporary events, though by long-term inappropriate set of processes in the firm, too. After all, the work shows possible development in the near future, its impact on the company, as well as suggestions which should be received and accepted by management to avoid any further negative impacts on the company.

The thesis is dedicated to the changes of the book market between its entities, libraries and final consumer of information (readers, library users) after the arrival of the internet. Development of the internet has brought searching of the new business models and opportunities for cooperation. Electronic publishing that, along with the internet availability, commenced to raise is the starting factor for the development of electronic books. The thesis outlines the roles of individual entities of the book market, i.e. publisher and seller (distributor, book-seller and digital platform) and libraries during the production, sale and accessing books with the focus on electronic books. After description of used terminology, especially different approaches to the definition of "an e-book", the next chapter presents hardware devices and software programs that enable reading e-books. The third chapter introduces the role of a publisher in the process of publishing printed and electronic e-books.
