Market analysis of the CRM systems

Abstract This elaboration deals with systems supporting customer relationship management - CRM. The main aim is to analyze the market of CRM systems and to describe developmental trends in this market. Part of the elaboration is to explain basic concepts in this area and a summary of the most important characteristics of CRM systems - deals with the typology, architecture and the individual layers. Efforts were made to describe and explain the issues of customer relationship management not only for IT professionals and to bring not only technical but also a managerial perspective on this issue. Enterprises are investing in CRM systems, even during the ongoing global economic crisis. Surely it must have a rational reason. Part of this work is therefore also describing and explaining some significant advantages, useful features and the positive effects that can CRM systems bring to enterprises. Companies are facing a number of important decisions connected with implementation of CRM systems. The present elaboration is therefore based on what parameters should enterprises consider to choose appropriate solutions. There is also a description of some selected CRM systems. Each of these systems should represent a certain category so that the selection will cover all the major directions of possible trends of customer relationship management. The elaboration is divided into several parts. The opening part aims to explain the concept of CRM and gives a summary of the main benefits of adopting a CRM system. This part also contains an overview of basic functionality and describes the architecture, components and layers of CRM systems. The summary of factors and parameters that companies should consider while choosing appropriate CRM system is following. The final part deals with a market development trends of CRM systems and selected descriptions of specific CRM products. There is also a glossary, which summarizes and explains most of the technical terms used in this elaboration.

Nowadays the sharing of information within the organisation with an emphasis on easy access and a speed of searching becomes more important. For this purpose the organisations use the intranet features. The intranet and its functions, especially from the perspective of users/employees, is what this bachelor thesis treats of. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part concerns especially about an explanation of the basic concepts, a general description of the functions and the intranet planning and its security. The practical part presents the intranets of concrete organizations and major groups of their functions. The goal of this thesis is to show the basic functions of groups with concrete examples from each of the presented intranet. The bachelor thesis deals with the form of architecture in Czechoslovakia in the socialist era, ie. the years 1948 - 1989. It brings closer the historical background of particular decades, the prevailing architectural trends among the Czechoslovak architects and urbanism efforts which created current cities. It is applied specifically to Prague and it is dedicated to the most significant or controversial buildings, assessed in terms of architecture, importance or discussibility. Furthermore, this thesis proposes possible tour routes according to the territorial and thematic consistency and suggests potential clientele.
Enterprise Architecture in Enterprise Management

This thesis deals with subject of enterprise architecture management. Topcis covered are enterprise environment integration, enterprise architecture parts description and description of shift in enterprise architecture focus point. This trend can be described as shift from IT related activity for IT management through tool for IT and business alignment to the final state as a tool for business change implementation. There are four goals of this thesis. Description of enterprise architecture, description of trend for enterprise architecture shift toward business, analysis of enterprise architecture state in Czech Republic and analysis of enterprise architecture shift to business in Czech Republic. I will reach first two goals by analysis of literature of the solution domain and the other two goals with questionnaire and its analysis.
Architecture of banking data warehouse

The thesis deals with banking data warehouse and the factors which influence their architecture. The goal of the thesis is to analyze the influence by fulfilling the three partial goals -- defining banks' requirements on data warehouses, analyzing a data warehouse in the real banking environment and making a comparison of the Czech banks' data warehouses. First, the thesis briefly introduces elements of business intelligence (BI) and data warehousing. Second, after deducing reasons for BI implementation in commercial banks, the requirements on data warehouse are synthesized and their impacts on the data warehouse architecture are analyzed. Finally, conclusions of the thesis are applied on creation of the survey which enables comparison of the Czech banks' data warehouses. The thesis applies the theory of relationship between BI maturity, requirements on BI and data warehouse architecture and creates a tool for evaluating and comparing the data warehouses of banks with respect to bank's BI maturity and predisposition for a particular architecture. The tool can serve as a basis for a general tool able to compare data warehouses in other branches of economy and can help to better understand relations between organizations' need for information, BI solutions used and underlying data warehouses.
