The comparative analysis of European educational programmes (as an inspiration for foreign language education by the topics of social sciences)
Pávková, Karolína ; Váňová, Miroslava (referee) ; Vališová, Alena (advisor)
The main aim of the Comparative analysis of European Educational Programmes is to inspire the instruction of foreign language by the topics of social sciences. The basis of the work is a theoretical comparative analysis of the European Educational Programmes, institutions and documents under the auspices of European Union and United Nations. Foreign language education is connected to The Frame Educational Programmes, Key competencies, Personal and social education and Content and Language Integrated Learning. In the frame of the theme the topics such as Common European Framework of Reference, language exams, teacher education or contemporary trends in language education are acknowledged. Another relevant subject is the participation of The Czech Republic in the European Educational Programmes. In the concrete chapters the ideas of language diversity and intercultural dialogue are mentioned. At the end of the work the comparative analysis is undertaken in the topical and methodical context of the programmes. The verifying of eight hypotheses defined in the frame of four criterias leads to deriving four main results of the analysis. These results are interpreted and transformed to the practical context of the instruction. The final outcome of the work are two alternatives of possible inspirative conception...

Phytochemical study of Helianthus annuus
Novosadová, Zuzana ; Karlíčková, Jana (advisor) ; Kašparová, Marie (referee)
First part of our work aimed to isolate flavonoids from leaves of H. annuus. The leaves were macerated and the resulting water extract was further processed - shaking using dichloromethane, separation on silica gel, isolation of substances using preparative chromatography. We managed to obtain pure substance which was submitted for identification using NMR analysis. Obtained butanol fraction will be further processed. Second part of our work focused on the assessment of biological activity of extracts and fractions. Acute toxicity tests, antioxidant activity tests (DPPH test, FRAP method) and antimycotic activity test were carried out. The ethanol extract showed positive results in all applied tests and appears to be the most promising.

Legal regulation of beekeeping
Kadlec, Jiří ; Franková, Martina (referee) ; Damohorský, Milan (advisor)
67 Legal regulation of beekeeping No bees, no plants. Beekeeping is a nessesity, which warrants quantity and quality of agricultural production, that is why this section regulated by law. There is no special apicultural act in Czech republic. Legal regulation of beekeeping is divided into a few branches. Provisions, which are related to beekeeping are involved in Civil Code, Veterinary Act, Plant medicine Act, Foodstuff Act and so on. Most of provisions are involved in implementing regulations. Civil Code No. 40/1964 is concerned with statutory questions of a civil law, as a proprietary law, neighbour's rights and damages with beekeeping. Most frequent problems which the Civil Code deals with, are disputes between two neighbours, when the first one, who is afraid of bees asserts, that the other neighbour's beekeeping interferes with his owner's freedom, because he can't use his property. He may for example be allergic to bee stings. Civil jurisdiction answer the question what is a bee bothering and when is it adequate or unadequate. There are a few crimes possibly concerned with beekeeping, grounded in Criminal Code No. 140/1961. It might be felony theft, destroying another's property, and environmental leopardy. Plant medicine Act No. 326/2004 is that one, which protects the bees and other untarget...

Comparison of investment incentives in the Czech Republic and Hungary
Zlámalíková, Šárka ; Černá, Iveta (advisor) ; Taušer, Josef (referee)
The goal of my work is to compare and evaluate systems of investment incentives in the Czech Republic and Hungary. The first part deals with the theoretical basis of the issue. The next two chapters deal with the description of the system established in both countries. At the end of this paper I compare these systems on the basis of selected criteria, among which I include the legislative framework, the types of incentives and the procedure for their acquisition.

View af adult people with mental disability on thei leisure
Krajníková, Markéta ; Strnadová, Iva (advisor) ; Květoňová, Lea (referee)
The aim of this work is to acquire better understanding of the perception of leisure time by adult people with moderate mental retardation. The theoretical framework is based on defining the terms of mental retardation, adulthood, quality of life, leisure and on their mutual interaction and specifics concerning adult people with moderate mental retardation. Through the method of semi-structured interview and field-notes, data from 15 respondents with mental retardation and four social service providers were obtained and subsequently confronted with one another. The process resulted in identification of several discrepancies in answers given by these two groups concerning general views on leisure and selfdetermination in choosing leisure-time activities. Based on these findings recommendations were formulated in the field of possible changes and the necessity of further research in the near future. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

The Behaviour of Japanese Macaques (Macaca fuscata) with a Concentration on Infant-handling in a Zoo
Hradilová, Eva ; Marván, Richard (advisor) ; Vančata, Václav (referee)
This study (1) detailly describes and analyses selected affiliative behaviours in a captive group of Japanese monkeys (Macaca fuscata) and compares all findings with results of other studies in free- ranging and captive primate groups; (2) tries to deepen our knowledge about distribution of the affiliative behaviours in terms of the biological markets theory (N06 and Hammerstein 1995) with emphasis on possible effects of dominance-submisive relations, status of females (mothers vs. non- mothers) as well as age of dependent infants and thus examines its functionality in our study group; (3) tests which hypotheses about distribution of affiliative behaviours in nonhuman primates (see Seyfarth 1977, 1980, de Waal and Luttrell 1986, Manson 1998, Bentley-Condit et al. 2001, Henzi and Barrett 2002, Kleindorfer, Wasser 2004) fit best to situation in the study group. Subjects were 12 Japanese monkeys at Olomouc Zoo (Czech Republic): 8 adult females (all > 5 years of age; 4 mothers and 4 non- mothers) and 4 dependent infants ( 0 - 4 months of age; 1 female and 3 males). In summer 2006, a total of 138 observation hours of behavioural data were gathered on 23 days. A combination of focal-animal sampling, all occurences sampling, instantaneous scan sampling and ad libitum sampling (Altman 1974) was used to score adult...

Versatile use of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry in drug metabolism studies
Suchanová, Bohumila ; Wsól, Vladimír (advisor) ; Solich, Petr (referee) ; Lemr, Karel (referee)
Human organism has always been exposed to a vast array of chemicals encountered in the environment. Chemical revolution has significantly influenced biological evolution of humans leading to serious unpredictable toxicities. In response to continual chemical stress they have developed a variety of enzymes to transform these xenobiotics. Xenobiotics are mostly highly lipophilic and cannot readily be excreted from the body without metabolism to more hydrophilic, water-soluble metabolites. Not only environmental chemicals represent xenobiotics but also drugs, dietary components etc. Biotransformation studies play an important role in the drug discovery and development process. Usually data from drug metabolism is required before a new substance can advance towards the development stages of a new therapeutic agent. Data on metabolism is frequently used to optimize drug candidates, suggest more active compounds or support toxicology studies. The increased flux of new chemical entities into drug discovery has placed an increased need for fast and reliable information on the metabolism of these substances. Liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry can meet demands for rapid drugs and metabolites analysis imposed by modern drug discovery strategies. This dissertation thesis presents an evidence...

Help Intervention Center Vysočina Region - Socio-legal Aspects of Social Service Provision
SVOBODOVÁ, Vendula
The main objective of the thesis was to map possibilities of a co-operation among the intervention centre and other entities interested in helping to people threatened by the domestic violence. The current status was taken from the professional literature. There is described an issue of the domestic violence, types and forms of the domestic violence, its characteristics and dynamics, causes, consequences, legal framework of the domestic violence, its actors, entities helping to people threatened by the domestic violence and an interdisciplinary co-operation. The qualitative research was used in the thesis. A tool for the data collection was a semi-standardized interview. Questions were based on theme ranges concerning the examined issue. The research sample consisted of 13 workers of the entities helping to people at risk of the domestic violence in the Highland (Vysočina) region. The research showed that the domestic violence is a very wide-spread and still underestimated issue. At the same time it is seen a considerable progress in the area of the help to people at risk by the domestic violence. Further the research showed that workers do not exactly know services provided by the Intervention Centre of the Highland (Vysočina) region. Thanks to this fact there can occur a disinformation of people threatened by the domestic violence. The staff can determine the most often demanded help from the side of the potential service users. They can also recognize that not always it is about the help the intervention centre is able to provide. The research does not confirm that the personnel generally would be influenced by prejudices at their work with people at risk by the domestic violence. But they were certainly also in their professional life influenced by a personal experience with the domestic violence that acquired in their neighbourhood. The research raised a possibility of a co-operation among the intervention centre and other entities, namely organizing case conferences. This thesis can be used in practice for an acquisition or addition of professional experience related to the issue of the domestic violence and available provided services.

Phytochemical study of Helianthus annuus leaves
