Self-stylization in the Work of Ludvík Vaculík

Cílem této práce je interpretovat způsoby autostylizace v díle Ludvíka Vaculíka. Teoretická část se zabývá problémem: 1. stylizace a autostylizace, způsobu transformace životního materiálu v umělecké dílo; 2. autora, autorského subjektu a budování sebemýtu; 3. autenticity v literatuře a možnosti autenticity v deníkové literatuře. Na základě Vaculíkova literárního, ne publicistického, díla jsem se pokusila odhalit princip jeho autostylizace. Charakterizovala jsem postavu "Vaculíka" - autorského subjektu, postavy, která tematicky odkazuje k samotnému autorovi, jako jedinou postavu, kterou Ludvík Vaculík vystavěl pomocí svého díla, a tak i vystavěl svůj obraz (mýtus) v očích čtenáře. Snažila jsem se postihnout základní postoje a role, které jsou pro postavu "Vaculíka" typické. Tyto postoje a role se v různých obměnách vyskytují v celém jeho díle, a proto lze dobře zkoumat jejich shody, vývoj, změny i rozdíly. Mezi typické postoje jsem zařadila individualismus, subjektivismus, upřímnost, k typickým rolím patří kritik, moralista, pozorovatel, partner, milenec, manžel. The Use of Pictorial Material in German Lessons for the Lower Grades of Primary School

ln der vorliegenden Diplomarbeit beschäftigte ich mich mit dem Einsatz des Bildmaterials im Deutschunterricht an Grundschulen. Das Bild als ein visuelles Medium hat schon seit jeher einen festen Platz im Unterricht allgemein und insbesondere im Fremdsprachenunterricht. Dies lässt sich bis zu Comenius zurück verfolgen. Je nach Unterrichtsmethode änderte sich die Verwendung des Bildes und damit seine Bedeutung. Ich untersuchte die verschiedenen Funktionen von Bildmaterial im Deutschunterricht und arbeitete Besonderheiten heraus. Dabei zeigte sich, dass die Motivationsfunktion eines der wichtigsten Elemente im Unterricht ist. Darüber hinaus gab ich einen Überblick über die Bildtypologie, definierte Begriffe wie analoge, logische Bilder und Abbildungen, und gliederte sie weiter in verschiedene Bildsorten auf. Ich erarbeitete Vorschläge und Arbeitsschritte zum Umgang mit Bildmaterial im Unterricht, die weithin anwendbar sein können. Dabei bezog ich auch Text-Bild- Kombinationen in meine Überlegungen mit ein. Wie erwartet zeigte sich, dass sich Bildmaterial auf vielfältige Art und Weise dazu eignet, den Deutschunterricht mit anderen Unterrichtsfächern zu verbinden. Hauptsächlich die Fächer Kunst, Landes- und Naturkunde, aber auch Musik oder Literatur bieten hier viele Möglichkeiten. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Climate change problems in the context of Czech foreign policy

The theoretical part of the diploma thesis concerns the definition of the climate change problems and the history of their reflection in the international politics. The second chapter analyses attitudes and positions of Czech political representation as a reaction on internationally important documents, attitudes and negotiations. The third and fourth chapter discuss the basic drivers that have impacts on Czech domestic political discussion on the field of climate change and its consequences on the international scene. These are analyzed on the level of three main political subjects: the Government reflects the matter in a general context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacts on it mostly on the conceptual level in connection with other foreign policy matters, and the Ministry of Environment takes most responsibility as a crucial organization, which works on documents and concrete actions. The thesis also contains an analysis of further domestic subjects (organizations or individuals) that influence the discussion about climate change. The aim of the thesis is to analyze attitudes of Czech political representation on the field of climate change problems, and to analyze specifically the question, whether the attitudes are determined by a passive approach (in the sense of automatic acceptance of international obligations) or by an active approach, when the Czech republic itself has a need to reflect the problems from the normative point of view.

Literary, cultural and historical influences in the works and beliefs of Oscar Wilde

The thesis deals with the cultural and literary influences that can be traced in the works of Oscar Wilde. Its aim is to map out and elucidate some of the important motifs of the author's work and aesthetics in their own context as well as in the wider cultural-historical one. The methods used will be comparison of relevant materials, analysis of certain expressions typical of the author with their connotations, explaining the intertextual allusions in Wilde's work, and historical sources. The requisite attention will also be paid to Wilde as a representative of a subversive element of Victorian society and how this relates to his sexuality; that is to say, exploring the issue of the tabooing of non-heterosexuality, which may have been a decisive factor in Wilde's criticism of the conventions of his era and to his search of positive role-models in the ancient tradition both for his art and for his personal philosophy. Diplomová práce porovnává postoj ke snižování nezaměstnanosti prostřednictvím aktivní politiky zaměstnanosti v ČR a VB. VB má jednu z nejnižších měr nezaměstnanosti, a proto je zajímavé, porovnávat ji se zemí, která má míru nezaměstnanosti velmi vysokou. První kapitoly se týkají teorie aktivní politiky zaměstnanosti obecně, řešení APZ v každém státě zvlášť, i jaký postoj má k nezaměstnanosti EU. V ostatních kapitolách jsou na základě SWOT analýzy porovnávány silné a slabé stránky a příležitosti a hrozby obou států ? míra nezaměstnanosti, rizikové skupiny, vzdělání, instituce trhu práce aj. Na závěr je nutná komparace obou států a především nastínění určitých doporučení pro ČR.

The debate on illegal migration legislation in the Czech Republic and Federal Republic of Germany

Tématem práce je fenomén nelegální migrace, a to v Česku a Německu, dvou sousedních zemích a členských státech Evropské unie. Konkrétně práce zpracovává debatu o právní úpravě fenoménu nelegální migrace, tedy návrhy a postoje jednotlivých aktérů zapojených do diskuze o stávajících i chybějících právních normách upravujících oblast nelegální migrace v Česku a Německu. Práce si neklade za cíl vyčerpávající zmapování diskuze k tématu v uvedených zemích, ale soustředí se na nalezení příspěvků pro debatu podstatných. Podstatné jsou příspěvky, které jsou charakteristické pro jednotlivé účastníky debaty a mají schopnost ilustrovat postoje a motivy, s nimiž tito aktéři do debaty vstupují.

The company in a competitive environment

The Master´s thesis is dealing with characteristic of a firm in competitive environment. The theoretical part describes various forms of markets, both perfect and imperfect competition. Furthermore, in this part will be characterized the concept of marketing mix, internal and external environment of a company, and also selected analyses from both these environments. The main part of the thesis is focused on three media agencies, which will be described in detail. Also, locations where these agencies operate will be described. Locations determine positions of these firms in the market and their respective competitive powers. In the analysis section, I will apply the Porter Five Forces model and the SWOT analysis on these selected firms. Subsequently, I will be dealing with advertisement since it is a crucial part of the marketing mix, very important for comparison of the agencies. The practical part will present a research and a questionnaire. The research is focused on the influence of advertisement on public. The questionnaire is dealing with cultural events. The thesis compares total revenues, analyses results of the investigation, and proposes ways that the selected agencies could achieve better position in the market.

The effectiveness of advertising in the hotel “Holiday Inn Almaty”

This Diploma Thesis is focused on the evaluation and study of the main features of advertising in the hospitality industry. The first part is a theoretical part, which describes in detail the definition as advertising, media advertising, promotional function. Further detailed adertising types, their advantages and disadvantages. In the practical part is the presentation of the hotel "Holliday Inn Almaty". This part describes in detail the structure of the hotel, SWOT analysis, advertising activity by hotel.
Another part of the analysis survey research, which based on advertising. The questionnaire focused on the advertising strategy and evaluation of the hotel altogether. The final section presents recommendations for improving advertising business and conclusion is about the advertising business of the hotel "Holiday Inn Almaty".

Utilizing psychoacoustic model and Wavelet Packet Transform for purposes of audio signal watermarking

This Thesis deals with a method to enforce the intellectual property rights and protect digital media from tampering – Digital Audio Watermarking. The main aim of this work is implement an audio watermarking algorithm. The theoretical part defined basic terms, methods and processes, which are used in this area. The practical part shows a process of embedding the digital signature into a host signal and her backward extraction. The embedding rule used spread spectrum technique and a psychoacoustic model. The implemented psychoacoustic model involves two properties of the human auditory system which are frequency masking and representation the frequency scale on limited bands called critical bands. The model is relatively new and based on the DWPT. In terms of above model is then the digital watermark embedded in the wavelet domain. This algorithm is implemented in technical software MATLAB. One part of this work focuses on robustness tests of the algorithm. Common signal processing modifications are applied to the watermarked audio as follows: Cutting of the audio, re-sampling, lossy compression, filtering, equalization, modulation effects, noise addition. The last part of the thesis presents subjective and objective methods usable in order to judge the influence of watermarking embedding on the quality of audio tracks called transparency.
