Supercharging of internal combustion engines
Vrána, Jan ; Jedelský, Jan (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
In supercharging are applied mainly two ways - turbocharging or charging using a mechanical compressor. The aim of thesis was to compare the ideal cycles of internal combustion engines with ideal cycle of supercharged engine, write down the main problems of supercharging, especially the border of self-ignition of fuel and detonation ignition, advantages and disadvantages of different methods of supercharging and its effect on engine efficiency. Further, there are given basic construction designs of turbochargers and air coolers and some special methods of supercharging and cooling.
Ideal cycle turbocharged internal combustion engines
Hrubý, Jakub ; Jedelský, Jan (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is description of various charging methods as a one of the most attainable form of ramping up the power and fuel consumption efficiency of naturally aspirated engines nowadays. Main aspect is thermodynamic part of the whole problem, especially the comparison of thermal efficiencies between different cycles. After a short history brief, main reasons why is charging so important are answered. General description, work principles, advantages and disadvantages of new technologies are also included. Emphasis is aimed at topicality and graphic interpretation. Thesis is dealing with charging diesel engines, but also petrol engines in automotive industry and offering a possible way of future development.
Overcharginh of SI and CI Engines
Čavoj, Ondřej ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This Bachelor’s thesis is focused on overcharging and its influence on spark-ignition and diesel engines. It describes common overcharging methods, including their advantages and disadvantages. In analysing the most regular of them, it also mentions their design elements and possibilities of eliminating some of their weak points. It also contains short summary of this segment’s history, the view on possible future development and at the end even examples of overcharged engines.
Developments in an internal combustion engine supercharging
Bazala, Jiří ; Rasch, František (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This bachelor’s dissertation deals with the topic of turbocharging. It examines various types of turbocharging and a selection of turbocharged engines. In one chapter there is a comparison between a modern turbocharged engine a normally aspirated engine, and also some interesting facts about turbocharging technology.
Tractors` Injection Systems Overwiev
Poláček, Milan ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The object of the bachelor’s thesis is to create an overview of injection systems at currently produced tractors. The first part of the overview is concerned with conceptions of diesel injection by tractors’ engines and with a description of its parts. There are also referred related technologies for power boosting. The second part is devoted to particular marks of tractors and used injection systems.
Power Increasing of Serial Combustion Engines
Novák, Pavel ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
In this bachelor’s thesis is presented suvey of technical resolution for power increasing of serial combustion engines. The work is oriented especially on technical resolution for spark ignition engine and diesel engine. First two chapters says obout way of combustion process and obout creation the fuel mixture of spark ignition engine and diesel engine. In other chapters is described change length of suck pipeline, mechanical and turbo boosting engine and variable valve timing which is depended on the engine load. At the close there is short muse obout future in tecnical development.
Power Increasing in Combustion Engines
Ehrenberger, Pavel ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This thesis contains the summary of information that relates to the problematics of the increasing performance of combustion engines. It describes the familiar ways of supercharging, and assesses the positive and negative aspects of implementation. It also gives information about the constructional resolution, about the functions and technical specifications of turboblowers a compressors, and other posible ways of supercharging. This thesis is pointing out the characteristics of the motor that is designed this specific way and his usage in the working conditions.
Present-day Methods For Piston Engine Power Increase
Vertaľ, Peter ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This baccalaureate work deal with analysis summary survey contemporary state modern spirit combustion motor that are supercharged turbo blower , compressors or by other used manners which lead its by effect to escalation achievement motor. Part of work is also description single constructional solving given to supercharged element and on no coherent transport systems single parts . Analysis will further include basic engineering characteristic and descriptions given to from which will flux their principle functionality.
