Classic and authorial fairy tale in kindergarten
TIŠEROVÁ, Jana
Aim: My thesis shall reveal which form of fairy-tales is the favourite one for preschool children. My effort is to find out which styles of fairy tales children return to. Solution: I applied qualitative method of interviewing children about the read fairy-tale for my survey. Continually, I used the method of participant observation while monitoring the interest in artwork contained in books. Subsequently, children selected the favourite books. The method of participant observation was applied again in this part. Results: Through the realized survey, I found that a classic fairy-tale is an unsubstitutable element in children development. However, it must be presented in such a language form which is comprehensible for children. Illustrations accompanying the story are very useful. Author's fairy-tale affects children very significantly so it is necessary to choose topics of appropriate quality. Both types of fairy-tales are indispensable factors for proper development of intellectual, emotional and ethical part of child's character and they are interesting and stimulating for children. Benefits of the thesis: The results of the thesis allow organizing and realizing activities in nurseries in a way that is suitable and valuable for children. It shows the way how to handle the fairy-tale genre within education for preschool children.
School and After-School Cultivation of Reading in Students at Middle Schools
MUŽÍKOVÁ, Lucie
The aim of the presented Bachelor thesis is to determine if and how the middle school age students' reading is developed and cultivated at school and at home. The thesis consists of two main sections theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part explains the key concepts related to reading, provides a psychological characterization of pubescence and offers information on how the school and after-school environments influence the child and his or her interest in reading. The empirical part, which constitutes a mainstay of the thesis, surveys middle school students and focuses on the cultivation and support of the children's reading from school and family. It further addresses the students' own relationship to selected books for children and teen-agers. In conclusion of the empirical section, results of the survey are compared with existing research on children's reading. The section also presents ideas on how to cultivate the reading of students at the middle school where the survey took place.

The practical part of the thesis, using the qualitative surveys, appraises the preparation and the realization of the project "The formal notice no. 56" at the particular primary school. There were realized the interviews with the educators and the head master. The assets and negative features of the reading workshop were followed by those dialogues. According to the direct observation of the methods during the lessons of the Czech language and literature, there were recorded the reactions of pupils to the reading and working with a text. "... The above-mentioned issues for me personally created the idea of a world in which the human race ceases to exist in the form of civilization known to us, and it is transformed back to its original collective consciousness, something that is "above" -above real physical presence, beyond basic animal processes , well above the world he created for himself, and through that killed himself. Through advanced technology and ultramodern materials, as well as minerals and vitamins, which arose from the original ancient building units, transforming the world into a new form of being. Remains of human existence in the form of countless objects and materials, which finally adapted to other forms of life (not already poisoned and weakened, but instead upgraded units) have gradually become the basic building block posthuman planetary culture. Archaeological site with an area of 510.1 million square kilometers slowly melt away in their embedded meanings and emotions seeped into polyvinyl chloride, which eventually engulfed simple cell clusters..."

In my diploma I continue in the topic which I solved in my theoretical part of diploma. I study that "Fantastical moment" in practise. I am interested in its uprise or creation, in its character in memories of other people and in its evoking. The book is documentation of my collecting work and also of my secret interventions in personal places of my kith and kin which are hardly accesible by spectator. The book (or issue) is set in 4 pieces. In ideal case I would like to edit it in about 100 pieces and distribute it in galerie´s shops. In this way it would be possible to lent it in some chosen places in Brno.

The Map of Brno
Pulicar, Martin ; Klímová, Barbora (referee) ; Kögler, Žaneta (advisor)
„Hic sunt leones“ is a printed publication that represents the outcome of diploma thesis Map of Brno. It is a pocket-size map in a form of a book describing the dark side of Brno, fitting contextually within the scope of urban exploration. Locations described within the publication are far beyond the general interest of the majority, and even the alternative minority, of population within the city. These are locations whose visit may result not just in dirty pants or possible conflict with the police, but also in injuries or even death. The inaccessibility of these places is emphasized by the inaccessibility of the map itself, which is being tested at it's very edge of usability. Accurate cartographic mapping is not the intention of this project, neither it is the process of making these places easily accessible. Mediation of their unique atmosphere and providing the evidence of their mere existence is the primary intention here. More so because of the fact that such places are subjects to very fast perdition.
Interactive e-book for Children
Pokorná, Gabriela ; Eliška, Jiří (referee) ; Macháček, Mikuláš (advisor)
The practical part of my thesis - Interactive Electronic Book for Children – is the book titled The Story of a tree. The application contains the author's text, which tells the story about the old tree that lives its own life and also comes alive all around him. The text is completed by illustrations that are created by combining techniques (line drawing, watercolor, photography) and digitally edited. Some illustrations are animated, others require the interaction of the reader, to set in motion, a sound, etc. Each page contains sound or music.
