Corporate culture

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of corporate culture. The aim of the thesis is to describe the impact that the company cell phones have on the personal life of the employees. The first, theoretical, part is focused on the concept of corporate culture and defines its basic components and elements. This part is trying to summarize all the approaches available in the literature by variety of authors. The second, practical, part of this thesis presents the results of a questionnaire survey which is focused on the influence of the company cell phones on the employees in their personal free time. The conclusion summarizes the entire survey and offers the interpretation of the results.

Cultural heritage as a factor in the development of the municipality and region

My work consists of the theoretical part, first is characterizes the tourist trade generally, then the tourist trade and organization of destination specifically. In the second part are interviews between participants of the tourist trade in the town Žatec. In the third part is the description of my public opinion polls. At the end of my work I present the suggestion of bettering as regards the marketing acitivities in the tourist trade in our region. In my work I used my experiences gained by the studies at Economical Faculty in Prag and also during my stay in the tourist trade.

Cultural Heritage as one of the Factors in the Development Community and the Region

The theme of this thesis is a cultural heritage and its role in developing communities and regions. The theoretical part focuses on defining the basic concepts that are the subject of cultural heritage linked. Specifically, it discusses the situation in the cities of Pardubice and Pardubice region. After the initial presentation of the basic assumptions relating to the concepts of cultural heritage, Regional development, followed by a section devoted to the particular characteristics of the cultural-historical development and specific places in the Pardubice region. The last of the four major part is devoted to the results of quantitative and qualitative research survey, effected to collect a sufficient amount of current information. In the course held surveys among mapping opinions on the topic of cultural heritage among the local population and took place several tens of structured, unstructured and semi-structured interviews with representatives of information centers, local authorities and ordinary citizens.

Bachelor thesis is about corporate culture with focusing on a teamwork in BAEST Machines & Structures, a.s. Thesis has a goal to make an analysis of a corporate teamwork via a survey among employees. In the theoretical part are described corporate culture concepts and in this part is defined corporate communication and a teamwork. In the practical part is described a creation, characteristic and a corporate structure of this company. The final part of thesis analyzes the results of a survey among employees and provides a recommendation for leaders of company. For the very end of this thesis are provided informations about team efficiency.

Role and motivation of volunteers in development projects: A case study of Czech volunteers

Motivation is a key factor influencing an individual to become a volunteer. This study examines the motivation Czech volunteers to work on development projects, based on data obtained from the survey and scientific articles. The survey was conducted on 80 Czech volunteers from various Czech NGOs, 40 out of 80 were volunteers working for Kintari organization in Indonesia. The main motivation for volunteering were divided into five sections according to orientation; altruism, culture, philanthropy, traveling and socializing. Differences were identified among respondents when Kintari volunteers chose culture and travel, which is closely related to their length of stay, while volunteers from other Czech NGOs selected altruism and philanthropy. Subsequently, based on the test of factor analysis (FA) was created a domains consisting of the items questionnaire. In the statistical measurements and indicators were using factor analysis which was deemed appropriate, and Cronbach's alpha coefficient, which verified the estimate of the level of internal consistency and Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin measurement to determine the suitability of the selected data. The calculation used t-test for socio-demographic attributes excluded the thesis that females are more altruistically motivated than males. Respondents confirmed altruistic and egoistic gain experience from volunteering, including the development of communication skills, stress management, development of empathic skills, understanding of the local community, opportunities to participate in social events, work in a multicultural team and the ability to be part of social groups. Kintari volunteers cause on the project preferentially associate with opportunities to experience the culture and travel, while other volunteers from the Czech NGOs travelled mainly due to work and own education, which is closely related to the fact that they had more previous experience from other projects. The general rule confirmed that a shorter stay affects more altruism, socialization and desire to travel. As an area of weakness, Kintari volunteers market communication and cooperation with the management organization (missing feedback), and insufficient provision of educational aids.

Restoration of cultural monuments and their impact on regional development

This thesis aims to map out the rehabilitation and reconstruction of movable cultural heritage in the region Jicin. Using surveys among residents and interviews with representatives of public-administrative institutions current situation in the region Jicin will be analyzed and a vision of future projects of restoration of cultural heritage in the same region will be presented.

Identity construction of young migrant generation on the example of Bulgarians in Prague

Goal of the thesis is to describe identity of young generation of imigrants on the example of Bulgarian minority living in Prague. Thesis shows in which way are the bulgarian traditions kept including language and popularization of bulgarian culture in Prague. The first part of the work is focused on basic terms that are relevant for the subject. The terms are: etnicity, identity, nationalism and nation, integration and acculturation, ethnical space, minority. In theoretical part you will be also acustomed with a composition of minorities in Czech Republic. Following that the focus will be placed at bulgarian minority in Prague and its main cultural specifics. Goal of the second part is to give an idea of young Bulgarians in Prague and reveal in which way their identities are shaped. Practical part is based on research conducted by author. Research consists of semistandardized interviews with members of bulgarian community, aged 18-29 years, who live in Prague.

Changes of Customs and Traditions on the Example of Vietnameses in the Czech Republic

Task of this thesis is to chart changes of customs and traditions on the example of Vietnameses living in the Czech Republic. Aim is also to find out if Vietnamese minority in the Czech Republic is more influenced by Vietnamese culture or by local culture. In theoretical part, important concepts related to this theme are described. It is primarily migration, integration and cultural specifics of Vietnameses. Analytical part interprets results of research which are classified into several areas, these areas include both point of view at the Czech Republic and Vietnam as well as customs, traditions and Vietnamese culture in general. The thesis is based on qualitative research during which half-structuralized interviews with 15 Vietnameses living in the Czech Republic were accomplished.

Role of cultural monuments in the regional development

This bachelor thesis is concerning with the influence of the Hořovice castle on the development of the region the monument is situated. The theoretical part defines the terms connected with the topic, it is delimiting culture and its division, the region and the organizations applying the preservation of monuments. Then the brief history of Hořovice town and castle is summed up here. The second part of the thesis is focused on the Hořovice castle and its influence on the region and the surroundings. It describes the way the castle is promoted, who is financing this promotion and the operation of the castle and how the attendance of this monument is developing. It is defined here who the most frequent visitors of the castle are, what kind of competition the castle has in the surroundings and the influence of the ongoing reconstruction of the castle on the actual interest in visiting the castle. At last the cultural events are listed, that have been organized here in the last year and is stated, who is in charge of the organization of the events.

Role of cultural monuments in the regional development

The theme of the submitted thesis is The role of cultural monuments in the regional development. It deals specifically with the role of the Chodsko Museum as a cultural and educational institution in Chodsko.At the beginning, there are introduced the basic theoretical points of departure, which relate these concepts: culture, cultural heritage and regional development. Following there is the description of the role of municipalities in protecting of cultural monuments, cultural tourism and implementation of marketing in cultural monuments and institutions. The theoretical part is followed by the practical part. At the beginning, there is introduced the mentioned region Chodsko from geographical, cultural and historical perspective. Then it goes on practical part, dealing with the concrete monument, thus the Chodsko Museum, a description of its activities and used marketing activities. An important source of information to processing the practical part there are unstandardized interviews with some relevant actors, who deal with the cooperation with the Chodsko Museum in the field of culture and education. The last part is devoted to the evaluation of results and proposing of measures to the more visibility and the attendance incresing in the Chodsko Museum and fulfilling its role as the the cultural and educational institution in Chodsko region.
