Utilization of biotechnological method in growing of technical hemp
Širl, Marek ; Zelenková, Sylva (advisor) ; Fischer, Lukáš (referee)
Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) is a multi-use crop, able to provide fibre celulose and hurds for industrial treatment biomass for energy conversion and produces secondary metabolites useful for pharmaceutical application. For its resistence to stress and ability to accumulate high concentration of heavy metals it can be potentialy used for phytoremediation. The aim of current research is the development of new strains, with specialy improved qualities and the enhancement of its applicability. Besides traditional breeding methods, genetic manipulation might be the possible tool. What is currently discussed is finding optimal conditions allowing efective in vitro cultivation as a basic assumption of genetic manipulation. Hemp transformation via Agrobacterium tumefaciens co-cultivation might be the appropriate technic.

The study of mitochondrial biogenesis during fetal development
Hůlková, Martina
Postnatal adaptation of neonate to extrauterine life is among others dependent on effective mitochondrial biogenesis during fetal development. Therefore the study of mitochondrial biogenesis on molecular and biochemical level may improve the care of very premature neonates, especially critically ill premature neonates. This thesis has been worked out in The laboratory for study of mitochondrial disorders (Department of Pediatrics, 1st faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague). The thesis is based on molecular genetic analyses, which are focus on characterization of expression of gene involved in mitochondrial biogenesis including gene of oxidative phosphorylation system (OXPHOS) and on changes in mtDNA content during human fetal development. The results than enable : Efective analysis of the mRNA expression level by quantitative real- time PCR method in fetal tissues. Analysis of the changes in the mtDNA content in different fetal tissues To understand and to explain the tissue-specific differences in expression of the OXPHOS genes and of the genes involved in mtDNA transcription and in regulation of mtDNA content during second trimester of gestation.

Design efective power speed controller for 3-phase motor
Uchytil, Filip ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This paper deals with the regulation of revolution of the asynchronous three phase engine with the frequency transformer. Firstly we will look into individual types of engines, the ways of regulation of the engines, the measuring of contemporary voltage and current at the engine and programming the ATMEGA64 microprocessor. The supervision is beeing handled by the PWM signal, which ensures low consumption of our circuit. The outputting part is comprised by the MOSFET transistors. The thesis devotes to communication of the ATMEGA64 processor via the USB port. The transmission ratio, voltage and even the contemporary current is displayed on the LCD monitor. The outcome of this thesis is the effective regulation of the asynchronous three phase engine, with the possibility of tracking all of the parameters mentioned above which are shown on the LCD display.

Treatment of peptic ulcer
Sakač, Jiří ; Hrdina, Radomír (referee) ; Tilšer, Ivan (advisor)
Topic: Treatment of peptic ulcers Autor: Jiří Sakač Peptic ulcers represent one of the most widespread gastrointestinal disease all over the world. It occurs the most in the middle and high aged people. It is a multifactorial disease, which is developed by dysbalanc between agresive and protective factors. Its occurrence and incidence is associated with presence of the infection Helicobacter pylori in gastrointestinal tract. H. pylori is the main risk faktor for a diverse spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases, and it makes first damage of mucous membrane. Comprehensive individual treatment consist of non-pharmacological lifestyle modification and pharmacological treatment. In the treatment, there are used drugs, which inhibite secretions of the agresive hydrochloric acid (H2-receptor antagonist, proton pumps inhibitors), cytoprotective drugs (sucralfat, bismut`s salts, syntetic analogs of prostaglandins) and drugs for eradication of H. pylori - antibiotics and chemoterapeutics. Accurate diagnosis, timely and efective treatment reduce a risk of recurrence and the complications; which can endanger patient's life (bleeding, penetration, perforation); and they can accelerate final healing most of the ulcers.

Optimalisation of Packing Material Supply in Company Epcos s. r. o.
Jílková, Karolína ; Janec, Jiří (referee) ; Bartošek, Vladimír (advisor)
This Thesis is focused on optimalisation of packaging material supply management in the selected company. In the first part the thesis compiles theoretical information of the given problems, in the practical part is analysed the contemporary condition and by means of analysis ABC are proposed possible method of solution of inventory management for the individual categories. The next exit of the work is a proposal of an efective organization of packaging issues to consumption.

Methods of efective integration of teaching English into the programe Step by Step
Loudilová, Klára ; Kargerová, Jana (advisor) ; Dobiášová, Pavla (referee)
In my thesis I deal with methods of effective integration of teaching English into the programme Step by Step. This thesis outlines the transformation of the Czech education system after 1989, engages in some modern approaches of teaching English language and introduces Step by Step programme. The goal of this thesis is recording the course of teaching English by different organizational circumstances. The second goal is to describe and evaluate teaching English in bilingual class with focus on teaching materials and methods used. At the end of my thesis I offer some concrete suggestions of effective integration of teaching English into the programme Step by Step.

Efective server infrastructure management
Váša, Lukáš ; Gála, Libor (advisor) ; Kašpar, Jaromír (referee)
The purpose of this diploma is to describe the IT server infrastructure and map out ways in which it may be find. In addition, aims to clarify the concept of management of infrastructure and describe the processes and activities required to manage server infrastructure. Subsequently, examine options and software features to support the management and benefits of their use. On the basis of these findings are developed and described models of effective managements for the particular states of server infrastructure. In detail are also explained the concepts, which can be achieved by changes in infrastructure. Models of effective management is established with regard to the need and level of implementation of various management activities, in different stages of maturity infrastructure. Some of the requirements arising from the level and condition of infrastructure must be support by the appropriate software. Models, therefore, also contain requirements for software at various levels of infrastructure maturity. Described and discussed are also other influences, which are the size of infrastructure, skills of managers and environmental influences. Part of this work is also a practical demonstration of software for managing server infrastructure, and a description of its properties.

Reconstruction of the road bridge near the village Holýšov
Svoboda, Adam ; Pinkas, Karel (referee) ; Klusáček, Ladislav (advisor)
The thesis deals with design of strengthening of existing bridge structure near the village Holýšov using modern method of additional presstresing. The bridge over the river of Radbuza is h-shaped beam bridge, which was built in 1924. In the present state its load capacity is under the limits for bridges situated on first-class roads. Original documentation of the bridge does not exist, the main source of information about construction details is the diagnostics research. The method of reinforcement by post-tensioning by cables in substituted cable ducts is highly efective in terms of the incerease the load capacity of existing bridge structure. The design of strengthening and the final load capacity was verified by static calculation.
