Inventory of woody plants in a part of the CULS area, elaboration of the digitized map and a draft of reconstruction of its selected part
Talácko, Ondřej ; Kunt, Miroslav (advisor) ; Fedurcová, Alena (referee)
A topic of this Bachelor thesis is reinventory of woody plants of University of Life Sciences grounds that is located in Prague Czech Republic. The Universitys literary part is based on reputable authors and the practical part is based on an inventory. This inventory is done by Machovec and his point of view on woods. Maps from past students who made theses of this topic at the same place were used to target the species. For a smooth cooperation in this Bachelor thesis maps of changing buildings plan were applied. The main task was to reinventory all the species so it was necessary to check the woods and their location. The location was in the same state as the previous woods. Based on the research of this location the inventory of woods by Machovec had to be used. This method contained an evaluation of girth width crown and age landscaping values however in this Bachelor thesis the girth and age of bushes werent evaluated. The genus species and the cultivar had to be assessed if possible and the evaluated parameters for single trees were averaged. The data of all the single trees were listed into inventory tables and set with unique codes for future recognition in the program. The whole practical part of the thesis was drawn in a program called AutoCAD version 2014. Once the inventory was done there was photographic documentation of the groups of trees which is available online on mapserver. The pictures are used for comparing a visual difference of the area in different seasons. Drastic changes have occurred in certain parts of the area of my research. Probably the biggest change was in the building of new Courseware pavilions and its surrounding. The big change at Courseware pavilions was the reason why this research was necessary. Also it was very important to study all changes that were done in past four years that were connected with every single wood in other areas. By the values given by the invenory tables was showed that there is 4079 trees in the area. Hardwoods are represented by 3319 woods and conifers are represented by 760 specimen. The most common in case of hardwoods is the Acer and from conifers its Pinus. By this enviroment the CULS areal makes great place for spending time in nature. The woody value is here on the third level and this means that there is prosperous viridity.

New Roman Period settlement finds from Prague-Kbely
Malyková, Drahomíra ; Bursák, D. ; Pecinovská, Monika
Presented rescue excavations took place in north-eastern part of Prague in the year 2007 within the parish of Prague-Kbely. Most of the features and artifacts belong to the Bronze Age and the late Iron Age. In this contribution authors focus only on the part of archaeological record that brought some evidence on settlement activities datable to the Roman Period. Approximately a half of the artifacts come from eight sunken features, the other part was found widespread in the wide unstratified layer, so any house or farmstead layout is hardly recognizable. Among the common pottery sherds that belong typologically to the end of 2nd-4th Century AD and bear typical signs of Germanic pottery were found also some finds of Roman-provincial provenience. Due to the small dimensions and absence of more detailed typological traces is hard to say something more concrete about these in Bohemia rarely found artifacts. Important finds also present the metallic artifacts, mostly from 2nd and 3rd Century AD.

Evaluation Principles: Effective evaluation and financing system for research, development and innovation
Münich, Daniel
The objective of Ipn project “Effective evaluation and financing system for research, development and innovation“) is to replace from 2015 the existing Methodology of evaluating the results achieved by research institutions with a more effective system of institutional evaluation based on the international quality standards. The new evaluation in the form of informed peer-review will reflect the Ipn Audit recommendations as well as Long Term Evaluation Principles adopted by RVVI (Research, Development and Innovations Council). The new system will combine quantitative and qualitative evaluation of outputs and contributions of the creative activity of research institutions with clear and future oriented indicators in order to facilitate evaluation of their development dynamics, evaluate their outputs from the point of view of their quality, relevance, impact and effectiveness while respecting the departmental and institutional differences. It should enable periodic evaluation of the performance of Czech Research, Development and Innovation system as a whole and of its individual components in comparison with the global standards. The evaluation results should facilitate strategic management on the level of public administration as well as on the level of individual institutions and their departments. The evaluation process should be resistant to nepotism and should be supported by high quality international expert evaluators and bibliometrical criteria.

Verification of a New Canine Training Method for the Human Scent Identification
Haffner, Martin ; Pinc, Ludvík (advisor) ; Jaroslav, Jaroslav (referee)
Scent identification is a forensic method which is used in many countries. Principle of this method is always the same, but in each country are used different processes. This method is based on comparison of an odor collected at the crime scene and an odor collected from the suspect. The aim of this study was to verify new methodology designed by Dr. Adee Schoon. This method consists of different dog training methodologies. In the commonly used method the dog gets an odor from his handler to sniff at before each particular line-up. This is match to sample method. That means the dog is able to compare two samples from the same person. In the modified methodology a dog once sniffs at the single odor placed on the ground. After distracting odors are added the dog is supposed to alert to the matching odor again. Thus the method under testing is more like based on the detection of target odor than on match-to-sample scenario. Human odor samples were collected from palms of hands, metal tubes and the object belonging to the same person. Experimental persons were asked to wash their hands and let them to dry freely. At first, sorbent material Aratex was placed to palms of these persons for fifteen minutes and then it was closed and sealed in odorless glass jars. Then the metal tubes were given to hold to experimental persons for five minutes. After this time metal tubes were placed into glass jars with odorless Aratex which was later used as scent samples. The metal tubes were removed from glass jars after thirty minutes. Scent samples from objects were collected similarly as from metal tubes, these samples served as a corpus delict. The starting scent samples and target scent samples were collected by a different persons. Additional odors were collected using the same protocol and under similar conditions, so none of the odor samples in a line-up were more attractive for the dog than the others. For the training three years old female belgian shepherd malinois was used, trained by the author of the project. Intrinsic matching procedure was always three times repeated. At first, the dog sniffed at the scent sample from the palms of hands. The line-up was arranged of scent samples collected from metal tubes and objects. One of these scent samples was the target scent (metal tubes). After comparison of metal tubes scents, the target scent was replaced by a scent sample collected from corpus delicti. In case the dog correctly indicated target scent, the result was recorded as correct. For statistical evaluation Bernoulli distribution was used (P < 0.01). Over the whole experiment only one dog was used, and so it cannot be concluded that this method is easier for the dog than the traditional one, however the study demonstrated that such a method is basically usable as a tool by which dogs can be trained to identify individual human scents. Fischer´s test did not show any differences between comparisons based on the type of an object.

Biology and invasive spreading of signal crayfish (Pacifastacus leniusculus) in the Vysočina Region
JUREK, Lukáš
This thesis deals with the issue of non-native crayfish species in Europe, focusing mainly on the Czech Republic. The main species of interest was the signal crayfish. Its biology in relation to invasive spreading was evaluated. The most recent list of its known populations in the Czech Republic was compiled. These data were subsequently compared, updated and enriched with new locations based on this field monitoring. Its occurrence was evaluated largely in the Vysočina Region, in the area of Velké Meziříčí. As it turned out, the center of the signal crayfish occurrence in the Czech Republic is located really in the area of its original introduction thirty years ago in our country, in the vicinity of the Velké Meziříčí. During that time, signal crayfish have successfully expanded into the surroundings waters, both naturaly (downstream and upstream migration) and with human aid (with restocking fish, direct distribution by the public). It occupied all possible types of habitats, from running waters of the two major rivers Balinka and Oslava to their tributaries creeks of different size and character. It found suitable living conditions also in some ponds, particularly those less intensively farmed. Signal crayfish was recorded in areas, where noble crayfish Astacus astacus is still relativelly widely present, in some place even forming sympatric populations. The work was also focused on epibionts Branchiobdella sp., their presence or absence on caught crayfish. Their occurance was also recorded and evaluated.

The observation of reproduction trans on the chosen farm
Uherko, David ; Toušová, Renata (advisor) ; Ducháček, Jaromír (referee)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis was the creation of a literature research about the given issue and further demonstration of its practical evaluation of reproductive indicators on the selected farm. The survey was carried out in company ZEAS Březná a.s., farming in the Olomouc region, Šumperk district. In 2015, this company bred 670 Czech Fleckvieh cows and 355 heifers of the same breed. The methodology was based on the monitoring of reproductive indicators relating to cows at livestock production centre in the village Březná and heifers stabled in the village Písařov, within the years of 2013, 2014 and 2015. I was monitoring quantity of inseminations, pregnancy after 1st insemination, pregnancy after all inseminations, service period, intervening time, insemination index and non-return test. The data were gained from the reports about inseminations and pregnancy rates, deadlines for performance control and farm evidence. In the process of the comparison of the results achieved with a population of Czech Fleckvieh cattle bred in the CZECH Republic breeding reaches the above-average values for the entire reporting period in the percentage of pregnant heifers and cows. In 2015 there even was a certain reduction of the insemination interval and service period in relation to the population. Only the interim for the entire reporting period was longer. The observed (group of) cows reached the average pregnancy after the 1st insemination by 48.4% with cows and 66,3% with heifers. Indicator of pregnancy rate after all inseminations got to 49.6% with cows and 61,1% with heifers. Value of the insemination interval ranged within 79.3 days, service period was reaching the length of 121 days and the interim 301,6 days. To conceive one breeding female cow required 1,9 inseminations. For heifers an average of 1.56 inseminations was needed. Milk performance was 7058l of milk per lactation. While making the research milking parlor was going through a modernization, due to which the farm accepted new technologies for the identification of dairy cows, and monitoring of the rut (the so-called vitalimetr). This system should help to improve the reproductive indicators. Then the question remains, how will these new technologies help in the breeding and how they will affect the reproductive indicators.
