Revitalisation of the historical garden of the Castle Liblice

This diploma thesis of project charakter, deals with revitalization castle garden of castle Liblice in central region of Czech Republic. The main goal of this thesis is based on the curent and historical state of the castle garden, to design a project with new plantings in the parter so it imitates the original baroque style in whitch it was created efore. After that propose suggestions of procedures suitable for the revitalization of the garden and it is greenery. Theoretical part of the thesis called Literary review is focused not only on history of the village where the castle is situated but also on the history of the castle itself, baroque gardens in general and least but not last the architect of the castle and it is garden. There are also described general characteristic of the trees and shrubs, which are in the garden as well as descriptions of work during revitalization such as tree cutting techniques or lawn care. In the analytical part is briefly described charakter of the area from its location to its climatic data. There is also described curent state of the castle park focusing mainly on the architectural errors and interventions, which are going to be necesary to execute during the revitalisation. List of greenery contains all trees and shrubs in the garden since 2005 and color features the ones removed during past years. After the consultation with the director of the castle there are mentioned activities and actions for which is the castle and garden used nowadays most of which also contributes along with the curent survy to the suggestions and interventions suitable for this revitalization. Project part deals with the design of the parter behind the castle. This design is created so it imitates the former baroque parter as much as possible, but also respects condotions of its curent use. All expenses in this design will be calculated in the form of ekonomic balance. Lastly in this project, there are proposed another important interventions for revitalisation of the castle garden, They are in the form of current state photos with drawn in suggested changes. This thesis will be beneficiary for the Czech Academy of Sciences, which owns this castle and it is garden .
Japanese gardens in the Czech Republic focused on the stone elements application

The work deals with the development and history of Japanese gardens. Subsequently it describes and evaluates publicly available Japanese style gardens designed in the Czech Republic. In conclusion are made series of recommendations for the use of stone elements within the Japanese style gardens based on the literature research and the evaluation results of the Japanese gardens in the Czech Republic.

The Bachelor thesis Beneš' villa in Sezimovo Ústí in the context of the interwar architecture focuses on the circumstances of the origin of the former president' summer house and gradual implementations which it went through in the connection with its contemporary tasks. There are not omitted architects Petr Kropáček and Otakar Fierlinger. The Thesis is also focused on the development of residential architecture from the late 19th and early 20th century until the interwar years where also belongs villa of Edvard and Hana Beneš.

The bachelor thesis is focused on landscaping an administrative, production and mix-used areas which were built in 20. and 21. centrury with focus on reviewing and evaluating basic principles to be applied in landcaping those areas. Thesis documents and analyzes selected areas and looks for connections and similarities in design solutions. Thesis briefly suggests tendencies and progress in designing and landscaping such areas. Those tendencies are to be awaited not only in Czek and Slovak republic but in foreign countries as well. Based on principles a study is created consisting of a model area and a particular object which is graphically designed for an industrial park - Nitra Sever.

The diploma thesis is focused on issue of rose gardens. It is looking into their origins and specific characteristics such as presentation or maintenance. New typology of rose gardens is established there on the basis of their mutual differences. Roses are also important part of this work as a basic structural element of rose gardens. The emphasis is placed on the categorization assortment of roses according to user potential and different ways of using them. There are also defined specifics distinguishing roses from other groups of plants. They lie in different growing requirements, necessary technical infrastructure or combination with other plants. Based on these gained information there is create idea project of rose garden in two types of spaces: historical and contemporary. As a model objects are chosen rose garden in medieval castle Svojanov and assortment planting of Czech varieties of roses in Botanical garden AV ČR in Chotobuz.
The identification, preservation and renewal of the composition of garden art monuments

Metodika postihuje způsob zpracování základního rozboru pro identifikaci a rámcovou ochranu kompozice památek zahradního umění (historických zahrad a parků). Tato metodická pomůcka byla proto vypracována v souladu se zadáním projektu tak, aby mohla být využita i v objektech málo odborně prozkoumaných, s nedostatečnou či neprozkoumanou archivní dokumentací a v objektech ve špatném, zanedbaném či narušeném stavu, které přesto vykazují značné památkové hodnoty. Soustředí se proto na základní rozbory a poznání kompozice dané památky zahradního umění, které budou východiskem pro další projektovou dokumentaci.

The care of herbal layer in garden art monuments

Metodika komplexně zpracovává velkou část postupů při péči o bylinné patro zejména v objektech památek zahradního umění. Metodika také shrnuje problematiku památkové ochrany bylinného patra, ačkoliv pouze okrajově, přesto se tohoto tématu dotýká s ohledem na její celkové zaměření. Dále metodika obsahuje základní přehled použití bylin v historii v Evropě a na území v ČR, a to z důvodu doplnění a pochopení problematiky managementu bylinného patra v památkách zahradního umění. Výše uvedené pak doplňuje také ryze praktické srovnání finančních nároků na údržbu vybraných složek bylinné vegetace.

Gallery at the crossing Koliště and Milady horákové street calls for connection of green spaces in the city. Gallery is focused to landscaping. The design consists of three buildings - gallery, glasshouse and the building for workshops and gallery management - which make up one unit together. Gallery has got a simple plan, which allows a variable arrangement of exposure. In greenhouse you can find a cafe and shop with flowers and publications. On the highest plans glasshouse consists of terraces of different levels and glazed cells with specific climate These cells contain a special filling - butterflies, music, fragrance, fragments of flowers or mossy couch - which give a special impress from the exhibiton. Whole glasshouse is living area a makes auditorium for the courtyard. All these buildings have also required storage spaces, space for technical equipments and car stacker with 21 parking places.
