Preswimming preparation in kindergarten Žalany and its impact on the next level of basic swimming skills in the 1st class of primary school

This thesis focuses on the methodological approaches in teaching basic swimming skills with children of preschool and school age in Primary school and Kindergarten Žalany. In the theoretical part is all about teaching children swimming. There are described characteristics of preschool and school age with its specifics. Conclusion of the theoretical part focuses on teaching children swimming in the Czech republic according to applicable standards. The practical part is focused on examining the impact of pre-swimming preparation in Kindergarten Žalany in comparative tests with children in the 1st class of Primary school Žalany. The main methods of the research are to observation, scoring the level of basic swimming skills with the subsequent processing of the data obtained. Swimming training at the lower school of primary schools

This thesis is aimed on the topic of swimming training on the first grade of primary school. The theoretical part is processed according to available resources, history and importance of swimming, characterized by basic swimming training of children at school age and younger. The practical part is focused on the research sample, a swimming schools and children who participated in basic swimming training. Following sections of this thesis are analyzing the research sample, which consists of swimming instructors in selected schools. This research sample was examined in terms of detection effectiveness and impact of swimming training on the results of graduate (or maturity) of swimming courses. This thesis map the swimming training of primary school students, especially in terms of periodicity and teaching effectiveness. The aim of the thesis is to elaborate a comprehensive overview of the current situation in basic swimming training.
Influence of pre-school swimming on level of swimming abilities of early schol age children

My thesis paper is focused on children swimming from their birth to early school age. The pivotal part of the paper is the comparison of swimming abilities between primary school children who have passed pre-school swimming training and those who have had no training at all. Theoretical framework of the paper is then focused on general swimming theory, characteristics of children's evolutionary stages within the context of swimming and definition of basic swimming skills.
Relation among movement abilities in and out of water within the physical education at primary school

My thesis deals with the issue of movement abilities. It examines a mutual relation and compares levels of movement abilities in and out of water within physical education at primary school. It addresses the question of influencing movement abilities in and out of water and determines whether the level of selected movement abilities out of water corresponds with the level of movement abilities of a similar character in the water. Furthermore, the thesis verifies whether boys and girls of early school age have the same level of movement abilities.

Swimming instruction of mentally handicapped individual and his/her integration - Down's syndrome

The subject of the diploma thesis concerns the integration of mentally handicapped individuals into the group of standard population in the course of preparatory training of swimming. The aim of the thesis is the evaluation and charting of the problem of the Down syndrome and on the basis of the results the proposal and verification of the conception of integration of the handicapped person. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis is based upon the characteristics of the specific traits of mentally handicapped individuals, it explains the terms of the Down syndrome, it explains the integration of mentally handicapped individuals, and it informs about the swimming as a means of integration into the society. The practical part of the diploma thesis described the course of the research work, it characterizes the studied group of individuals, it includes the results of testing (Štochl, 2002) and it registers the acquiring of the respective aptitudes. The results are evaluated by verbal description as well as by the form of graphs. The practical part includes also the preparation of the conception of social integration of mentally handicapped individuals, which has been prepared on the basis of analysis of specialized literature and on the basis of practical and theoretical experience. Current state of swimming teaching to preschool children in Prague

Abstraction The subject of the bachelor thesis is the current situation of swimming courses for kindergartens. The paper aims to study the quality and conditions of teaching basic swimming skills in selected swimming schools and provides approximate number and age of children participating in the courses in Prague. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with swimming and its importance in general and describes methodological and organizational specifics of swimming teaching at preschool age. It briefly deals with several legislative documents, which set hygiene and safety standards for swimming pools used for preschool swimming lessons. The practical part focuses on finding out the percentage and age range of children from Prague kindergartens, who attend swimming courses. The data for the practical part were obtained through questionnaires and direct non-participating observation. The conclusions show that quite a large number of Prague kindergartens attend swimming classes. The quality of swimming teaching and especially the material conditions are very different. In swimming teaching the teacher plays the key role.
