Legislative and economic aspects of exploitation of renewable energy sources
Vondra, Marek ; Katolický, Jaroslav (referee) ; Jaroš, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is a brief outline of legislative and economic issues associated with energy production from renewable sources. After reading the work, potential investors should be connive with the pros and cons of the use of renewable resources. The thesis has a recherche character and tries to provide basic information for the possible preparation of an investment project. Renewable energy sources have become an integral part of the energy market, despite their lack of profitability in comparison with conventional sources. It is a consequence of European Union’s financial support. However, the support is changing over time, as well as avalaible technologies, local conditions and many other factors affecting the current investment attractiveness of renewable energy sources. All these factors must be considered by an investor. The current situation is positive for use of biomass energy, both at home and in large incineration plants and cogeneration units. Electricity can be advantageously produced in photovoltaic and small hydropower plants. There is a growing importance of heat pumps exploitation. We can expect slower development of photovoltaic farms and wind power plants contructions.
Different use of the wind energy.
Sukup, Jan ; Houdková, Lucie (referee) ; Jícha, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis describe main kinds of wind turbines, principle of their functions and their usage to electricity generation. The second part deals with ways to storing wind energy. There is description of compressed air energy storage technology and their combination with combustion of biomass. Second mentioned energy storage technology is electrolysis of water and possibility of usage hydrogen.
Design of Savonius rotor as source of electric energy
Hruška, Martin ; Sikora, Michal (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is concerned with possibilities to produce electricity from wind. A power source with Savonius rotor was designed and constructed as an educational model using the accessible materials. The simply measurement was taken to determine model features.
Energy assessment of the mountain lodging house with the restaurant
Lysková, Markéta ; Velísková, Eva (referee) ; Maurerová, Lenka (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dedicated to energy assessment of the moutain loping house with restaurant, situated in Ostružná in Jeseníky Mountains. The theoretical part describes wind power plants. The reason they were chosen is that one of them works directly in Ostružná and delivers elektricity for analyzed building. The main object of this thesis is to find more energy efficient solution for this building, which is investigated in the practical part.
New Energy Landscape: Spatial Delimitation Based on the Location of Selected Renewable Sources (Case Study Area - Czech Republic)
Nováková, Eva
The contribution deals with the definition and the spatial delimitation of the new energy landscape which has been described in the Czech Republic only in theory yet. The primary database was created by means of GIS analyses based on combination three layers with installations producing energy from renewable sources - wind power plants, biogas plants and photovoltaic power plants with production capacity over 5MW. On the basis of this layer were spatially delimited areas of influ ence of these devices, and thus the theoretical range of the new energy landscape. The result of this study brings new knowledge about spatial distribution of new energy landscapes on the territory of the Czech Republic. The article should be starting poin t for future scientific researches and discussions, which should help not only to the improvements and modifications of the original methodology, should support the improvement of the decision - making processes associated with spatial planning at the differ ent hierarchical levels (national, regional, local).
Renewable resources and their impact on regional and municipal development
Sládeček, Dušan ; Damborský, Milan (advisor) ; Janković, Vukica (referee)
This MA thesis examines the effects of wind and photovoltaic power plants on the regional development using the standard regional and statistical analysis tools. The theoretical part focuses on the macroeconomical point of view concerning the support of renewable energy sources. The consequences for Czech economy can be seen as greatly negative. The practical part includes case studies and focuses on specific municipalities. The result of the findings is that the construction of photovoltaic powe plants does not have a negative impact on the development of municipalities, in the case of smaller ones it can even be seen as an economic asset.
The potential impacts of wind power plant developments on tourism potential and realty prices in the district of Leskovec nad Moravicí
Kunc, J. ; Frantál, Bohumil
The aim of this expert study is to analyze, evaluate and empirically verify a potential impacts of wind power plants development on tourism potential in the model area of Slezská Harta (dam lake) and its surrounding.
Economic efficiency of Wind power plants in Czech Republic
Mikláš, Martin ; Antoš, Ondřej (advisor) ; Zemplinerová, Alena (referee)
Work deals with the economic efficiency of wind power plant (WPP) in the territory of the Czech Republic. The first part deals with general problems of negative externalities, which are generally characteristic for the energy sector. There are discussed the ways and approaches that the various theories offered for the elimination of externalities. There are also discussed in detail the various theories and approaches, for example: R.H. Coaseho and A.C.Pigoua. The second part of work is focused on the history, development, technology of wind power plant, the conditions of construction, financing and production of electricity. It mentioned specific tools for supporting the construction of wind power plant in the Czech Republic and comparison with other EU countries. This section focuses on the costs associated with construction, involvement in the grid (and other costs related to construction), production of electricity WPP in the Czech Republic, including the implicit costs into account. The last part of answer to the question of why States subsidizes the energy, why are the support tools used in the context of the theory of externalities, if the preference for the use of renewable sources of combustion of fossil fuels economically justified and effective, even if the Czech Republic. In conclusion, the work will be proposed to the most appropriate solutions in the area of WPP in the Czech Republic.
Complex of wind power plants Mauricius
Trykarová, Štěpánka ; Hadrabová, Alena (advisor) ; Dvořák, Antonín (referee)
This diploma thesis evaluates the present standing of the wind energy in the Czech republic and in the world. It targets the results of new installed wind power stations to the economy. It ilustrates the preparation procedure. It shows the reasons why to invest to the wind energy. It is concerned with the question, if the building-up of wind power plant has the perspective of economic efficiency. It points out the effect on the environment and health.
