Stoklasová, M. The protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018. The bachelor thesis deals with the protection of personal data, especially the new regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, which from 25 May 2018 will replace Personal Data Protection Act No. 101/2000 Coll. The legal overview of the protection of personal data, including the basic concepts and its institutional security, is defined in the literature. In particular, emphasis is placed on the new approaches and duties of administrators or pro-cessors and the rights of data subjects. It also mentions the risks resulting from the processing and suggested recommendations for the persons affected by the processing. At the end of the thesis the comparison of the new and original legis-lation is made and the most important changes are summarized.

The diploma thesis is focused on the protection of privacy and personal data in labor-law relations. The literary research is defined the basic terminology, the legislative base of the protection of privacy and personal data, the rights and obligations of the parties and, last but not least, the sanctions related to the non-compliance of the obligations imposed by the law. The original research part deals with the analysis of the procedures for the protection and processing of personal data of employees and privacy at the workplace of the chosen company. The attention is focused on the processes from the beginning of the selection process, during the employment relationship and after the end of labor-law relationship. Further, the ways of monitoring employees and their legitimacy are evaluated. Based on analysed and identified shortcomings and errors, corrective recommendations are proposed in conclusion of the thesis, which will ensure compliance with valid legislation of the Czech Republic and the European Union.

The diploma thesis is focused on the protection of privacy and personal data in the labour-law relations. The first part focuses on defining terminology, which is very important for understanding this issue and the legal base including the description of the General regulation on the protection of personal data. Conclusion of the diploma thesis is devoted to subjects involved in the processing of personal data and their rights and obligations. The original research part is focused on the issue of protection of privacy and personal data at the specific Regional Authority. It describes the processing of personal data before the conclusion of the labour-law relations, throughout its duration and after its termination. Another part of the thesis is devoted to the descriptions of individual types of monitoring employees at the Regional Authority and the description of implementation process and changes which the General regulation on the protection of personal data brings. In conclusion there have been suggested corrective recommendations based on detected information, which were compared with the legislation of the Czech Republic.

This diploma thesis focuses on the protection of the privacy and personal data of employees in a chosen factory. This has been necessitated mainly by a new legislation, namely, 'the General Data Protection Regulation'. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The first part focuses on literary research and provides a basic overview of important concepts of legislation, as well as an explanation of the concept of personal data and their structure. It further explains who the individual subjects of data protection are, who is the control authority. The second part consists of personal work, which examines whether the enterprise complies with legislative requirements in individual areas as well as preparing for the new European legislation in force. The next section discusses the company's shortcomings, which the company should pay attention to and there are also proposed some measures.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of personal data protection, i.e. data which security in contemporary digitaly interconnected wold concerns each one of us. Included literary research covers the basic concepts of the existing law which re-gulates the issue of personal data protection. Particular attention is paid to the new European Parliament resolution The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The core of the thesis rellies in the application of the summed knowledge to a particular business company. Said entity processes the personal data of its em-ployees from the beginning of the employment relationship to it’s end and, to so-me extent, even further. Its systems also include personal data of customers, ma-inly related to their individual purchase contracts.

Personal data protection under the law of European Union ABSTRACT The diploma thesis discusses the legal regulation of personal data protection under the European Union law with focus on the rights of data subjects, i.e. natural persons whose personal data are being processed. The aim of the thesis is to compare the current legal regulation of the rights of data subjects (directive on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data) with the legal regulation with forthcoming effectiveness (GDPR) with focus on the issue how the new legal regulation dealt with the problems for which the Directive has been criticised and how it dealt with problematic parts of the regulation of the rights of data subjects. The diploma thesis consists of five parts including the introduction, the conclusion and three chapters of the own text. The chapter one contains the introduction to the field of personal data protection, including the brief history of the development of personal data protection, and it is further divided into the sub-chapters where the primary and secondary law concerning personal data protection in the European Union and its development are introduced. The primary aim of this dissertation thesis is to present a comprehensive analysis of the issue of personal data protection in the Czech Republic with regard to the regulation in the EU. The secondary goal of this work is to explore the historical genesis and material sources of the issue in question. The core information sources from which the thesis draws represent laws, judicial decisions, official documents and Czech/foreign expert literature. In order to achieve the objectives of the work, the methods that are generally applicable in the field of legal science were used. Therefore the method of description (including classification), analysis and synthesis is mostly applied. The dissertation consists of seven chapters. After a short introduction, it begins with a sociological treatise on the importance of the protection of personal data in the 21st century. Privacy is currently an important topic in the light of the rapid development of information and communication technologies which have been developing since the second half of the 20th century and burgeoned since the turn of the century. Technological innovations allow for the collection of personal data on a large scale. These privacy infringements can prove to be irreversible, hence the importance of this area of law.
