Jurák Daniel The year of presentation: 2011 This bachelor's work is a theoretical research work which gains information from Czech and foreign literature. The structure characteristics of sports performance of swimming stroke free style/front crawl in the events of 50m and 1500m is the main aim of this work. The text is divided into a theoretical part and some component subchapters. The first one deals with the structure of sport performance generally. The second ones describe swimming. The chapters in the practical part are divided according to studied branches. The both chapters are divided into the same subchapters according to the parts of the sport performance. These are: fitness, technical, psychological and tactical preparation. I have monitored differences in all four parts of sports performance. The most significant one is in fitness preparation. There is lower one in the other parts of training. Key words: sports swimming, sports performance, swimming stroke free style/ crawl, events of 50m and 1500m

Pecha, Jan ; Dovalil, Josef (advisor) ; Tilinger, Pavel (referee) ; Zháněl, Jiří (referee)
Title: Competitive success in the performance development of tennis players Abstract This study deals with the performance development analysis of players, in the conditions of the Czech Tennis Association enviroment (before 1993 of the Czechoslovak Tennis Association), and the aim is to find if the competitive success of Czech, or Czechoslovak players reached in the U12 and U14 age categories relates to their later top performance achievements at the international level. The prospective view analyses national rankings of best U12 and U14 players (during years 1989 - 2011) in relation to their future success at the professional level on the ATP and WTA Tour. The retrospective analysis focuses on players (born 1970 or younger) who reached a top 100 ATP or WTA ranking, and explores their performance development. The qualitative part of the research, based on structured open ended interviews with tennis experts, identifies, confirms and/or reviews the ways of achieving the top tennis performance. This part focuses on three topics of the long-term athletic development in tennis - characteristic features of training, demands on successful players and importance of sport competitions. The total number of 1791 players were involved into the prospective analysis research, and there was a success of 38,50 % of male...
The Genetic predisposition of a speed ability among the players of the 1st and 2nd Czech football league
Thiel, Dan ; Petr, Miroslav (advisor) ; Šimonek, Jaromír (referee) ; Pupiš, Martin (referee)
Title The genetic predisposition of a speed ability among the players of the 1st and 2nd Czech football league. Study aim To determine the impact of ACE I/D, ACTN3 R577X, AMPD1 Gln12X, BDKRB2 9/+9, IL1RN VNTR, NOS3 Glu298Asp, UCP2 Ala55Val polymorphisms genotype frequencies on the results of the speed ability motor tests. Methods DNA samples obtained from epithelial mouth were quantified and analyzed using the PCR method from 106 football players of the 1st and 2nd Czech football league (age 25,3 ± 4,69; weight 77,5 ± 7,33; height 181,2 ± 6,23). Genotype frequencies were estimated for the ACE I/D, ACTN3 R577X, AMPD1 Gln12X, BDKRB2 9/+9, IL1RN VNTR, NOS3 Glu298Asp, UCP2 Ala55Val polymorphism. Motor speed ability was tested by the vertical jump height, produced power and power impulse for the countermovement jump, countermovement jump without arms swing and squat jump. Isokinetic maximal power of flexors and extensors of the knee were tested at the angle speed 60ř.s-1 , 180ř.s-1 , 300ř.s-1 . Χ2 test (Pearson's chi-square test) was used to determine the genotypes difference for the parameters of the motor speed ability tests in the football players who exceeded 80th percentil compare to the other football players. Kruskal- Wallis test was used to determine dependence (p = 0,05) of the genotypes...
Low-carbohydrate diets and their effect on body composition and sports performance
Kysel, Pavel ; Jandová, Soňa (referee)
The effect of low-carbohydrate diets on physical fitness is still controversial. The goal of low-carbohydrate diets is to minimize the effects on sports performance by restricting carbohydrates, while optimizing body composition by reducing subcutaneous fat while maintaining maximum muscle mass. The aim of this work is to search the current literature and scientific studies, and to determine the effect of low-carbohydrate and therefore ketogenic diets on body composition and sports performance of various types. Partial tasks are then to define the circumstances that are related to the main goal, or are derived from it, i.e. individual motor skills, including their development and circumstances leading to the influence of sports performance, as well as the area of the individual's body composition and the obvious circumstances of food intake. An essential part is the most up-to-date reference and covering the main differences of low- carb diets in their entirety. The results are mixed, however, in endurance athletes, the body adapts to a fat-rich diet after about a week, and in general, oxidation of fats provides enough energy in the form of intramuscular triacylglycerols or free fatty acids in plasma. Theoretically, this should lead to the investigation of muscle glycogen, as the most valuable...
Injuries in Football (Review Literature)
Kejmar, Martin ; Kaplan, Aleš (advisor) ; Hráský, Pavel (referee)
Name: Knee Injuries in Football (Review Literature) Objectives: The main aim of the thesis is to study scientific and professional articles and publications concerning the issue of injury in football and the subsequent transfer of processed information to the literature review. Another aim of the thesis is a working proposal on the determination of possible preventive principles that can minimize the occurrence of injury in football players. Methodology of work: In this work was used the method of literary research, mainly foreign, but also Czech literature, obtained mainly from Internet databases and bibliography. For an adequate review of the literature, keywords were set for both domestic literature and foreign publications. Results: Comprehensive review of football injury issues was created by processing a literature review. It has been found that football is one of the most risky sports with a potentially high risk of injury. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the most commonly injured joints are ankle and knee. The most common type of knee injury among football players has been reported in literature sources of meniscus injuries. The most common and most serious knee injury is an injury of the anterior cruciate ligament (referred to as LCA or ACL). A total of 56 articles of both Czech and...

Kaľata, Maroš ; Malý, Tomáš (advisor) ; Buzek, Mario (referee)
Title: Relationship between selected laboratory and field indicators of movement abilities in soccer players Objectives: The aim of this study is to determine a degree of association between selected laboratory and field indicators assumptions motion at the elite junior footballers. Methods: The research group consisted of 51 probands aged 18-19, who are in the highest first-league domestic competition of U19 team. Players undergone laboratory and field trials under the supervision of qualified professionals, which were running under the standard conditions described within the Methodology section of the theses. To verify aerobic capacity under laboratory conditions, we chose a load test on the Quasar running belt (Cosmos, Germany). Dynamic application of force to the pad was evaluated by force sensors in stable Kistler 9281E platforms (© 2014, Kistler Group, Switzerland). Linear acceleration and maximum run speed tests were conducted in field conditions on artificial grass. Results: The results of the work provide information on the significance of the associations between the selected laboratory and terrain indicators of motion assumptions in elite football players. The analysis of our results reached values between the intermittent sustainability recovery test (LEVEL 1) and VO2 max, r = 0.112....
