Work of a school special educational advisor in a school counseling centre

This thesis concerns the profession of the school special educational advisorr working in a mainstream primary school and his acting in favor of pupils with learning difficulities. The theoretical part describes the group of pupils with whom the school special educational advisor works and possibilities of this work, the cooperation with other partners (teachers, professionals and institutions outside the school and pupils' parents ) in supporting those pupils and the three-stage model of care for pupils at risk in school development. The practical part in the form of qualitative research examines how school special educational advisors acting in primary schools in Prague see themselves in their profession. Home preparation of pupils with specific learning disabilities

The thesis addresses the issue of students' home preparation at primary school. The thesis is focused on students with learning disabilities, so in the first chapter of the theoretical part these disabilities are analyzed, describing their etiology and education opportunities in the school education system of the Czech republic. Re-education, as one of the ways through which we can help to eliminate manifestations of specific learning disabilities, is also emphasised. The characteristics of a child of primary school, education maturation, the process of learning and cognitive processes are contained in the second chapter of the thesis. Home preparation, its functions, types and factors are comprised in the third chapter. This chapter also describes the necessity of cooperation between parents and the school. The empirical part provides the description of home preparation of pupils at primary school with specific learning disabilities. The end of the practical part shows us a collection of games, activities and experiences of our respondents, which are enriched with vertified activities, games and recommendations related to the pupils with specific learning disabilities. The integration of pupils with special educational needs in primary schools of art

Bachelor thesis deals with the integration of pupils with special educational needs in primary art schools in České Budějovice. In České Budějovice are three state´s primary art schools whose founders are South Bohemian region or town council of České Budějovice and three private primary art schools. Intact pupils are the biggest group of pupils in primary art schools. The theoretical part of the thesis is starting to process stemming from the topic on the basis of expert sources. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the categories of pupils with special educational needs, this category includes students with disabilities. The category of pupils with special educational needs also includes students with disabilities and students from socio-culturally disadvantaged backgrounds, these two groups, however, are a separate issue, and therefore the thesis focuses only on students with disabilities. The next part of the theoretical part of thesis focuses on integrated education at the primary art schools, the legislative anchoring of integrated education and characteristics of education at primary art schools. The practical part is using qualitative investigation to determine qualification and preparedness of teachers in terms of teaching, and the readiness of primary art schools on the materiál aspect of the education of pupils with special educational needs. A semi-structured interview was used for data collection. It was conducted with the primary art schools managers and teachers of primary art schools and with the analysis of documents. Thanks to the research survey it was found that nowadays primary art schools don´t have any material equipment for education of pupils with special educational needs. It was also found that management of primary art schools doesn´t provide training for their teachers for teaching pupils with special education needs, mainly after a methodological sphere, mentioned is valid for the surveyed sample.
Application for Alternative Communication for People with Mental Handicap

The aim of this master thesis is to analyse, design and implement a multi-platform mobile application for alternative and augmentative communication of people with special education needs and disabilities. This application based on iOS and Android platform allows making sentences composed of pictograms with voice output. The application is implemented in Java & HTML5 based multi-platform framework Oracle ADF Mobile. Application has been verified by case study in native environment of people with intellectual disability. The main contribution of this thesis is to include and verify the requirements of computer therapy (in sense computer as therapy), which aim to provide solution for proper design a usability of implementation for described target group of people.
