Signs of epilepsy spectrum disorder in persons with psychostimulant addiction

Žaneta Jakubová, Specialist in laboratory methods Signs of epilepsy spectrum disorder in persons with psychostimulants addiction Diploma thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medical Sciences, Background: The aim of this diploma thesis is to study the occurrence of symptoms of epileptic spectrum disorder in psychostimulant subjects and to demonstrate the effect of psychostimulants on the occurrence of this disorder. Methods: For questionnaire survey was used to collect the data, in which probands submitted a total of 3 questionnaires. Input anamnestic questionnaire to obtain general information, the remaining two are focused on symptoms of epileptic spectrum disorder - Complex Partial Seizure-like Symptoms Inventory (CPSI) and Limbic System Checklist-33 (LSCL-33). Statistical methods of percentage comparison, chi-square test and unpaired t-test were used for evaluation. Results: Unusual scores and scores for epileptic spectrum disorder reached a total of 60 % of respondents in the CPSI. In the LSCL-33 questionnaire, a suspect and abnormal score reached 100 % of respondents. Lucie Špuláková Signs of epilepsy spectrum disorder in drug-dependent persons Diploma thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medical Sciences Specialist in laboratory methods Objectives: The objective of this diploma thesis was to demonstrate the signs of epile- psy spectrum disorder in risk group of drug-dependent persons. Methods: We investigated the signs of epilepsy spectrum disorder by questionnaire survey - specifically by questionnaires Limbic System Checklist-33 (LSCL-33) and Complex Partial Seizure-like Symptoms Inventory (CPSI). We used statistical methods for results evaluation - the percentage comparison, chi-square test, and Spearman corre- lation coefficient. Results: The questionnaire survey demonstrated a significant shift towards abnormal values for both questionnaires. Abnormal score was achieved by 77 % respondents for questionnary LSCL-33, suspected score was achieved by 19 % respondents. Score for epilepsy spektrum disorder was achieved by 32 % respondents for questionnary CPSI and 45 % respondents showed unusual values. Title of Thesis: The temporo-limbic dysfunction in alcohol dependent persons This thesis is concerned on the temporo-limbic dysfunction of persons dependent on alcohol. The theoretical part summarizes the information about the neuroanatomical correlates, alcohol dependence syndrome, epidemiology of alcohol addiction in the Czech republic and the relationship between alcohol and epilepsy. The practical part includes evaluation of questionnaires filled out by alcohol dependent persons. These questionnaires are concerned on recognizing epilepsy spectrum disorder. The results are compared with the results obtained from previous studies in the healthy population and are used to evaluate other aims of this thesis. Setting up educational materials for the topic Chemistry around us

This dissertation deals with the creation of educational materials to topics from the field Chemistry around us and circumstances of its implementation into teaching chemistry with regard to the needs posed by curricular documents. The connection between real world and the content of the chemistry subject, which is taught at schools, is shown on the curricular topics related to medicinal chemistry and to fertilizer chemistry. This could make the student getting a better overview of the subject itself. Regarding the specialist and didactical part, the teaching material tries to make it easier for the teacher to prepare for the lessons and make them more interesting due to the teaching material's variability and processing (teaching text, powerpoint presentations, plays, laboratory exercises etc.). This way, the student gains access to practical topics through various types of exercises, interesting aspects, plays etc. The evaluation of educational materials and investigation of student's and teacher's attitude was carried out via a questionnaire investigation. The investigation showed that both students and teachers regard these topics as beneficial and belonging to the field of chemistry. This bachelor thesis is focused on analysing the process of recruitment and personnel selection of school headmaster. The goal is to review the process of recruitment and personnel selection of school headmaster in the Liberec region and make proposals for a school founders. The theoretical part gives concepts of human resource management and bankruptcy proceedings. The practical part of the thesis includes research via questionnaire and document analysis. Based on the data of research are suggested recommendations for the school's founder. The main recommendation is to expand the criteria for the selection of school headmaster. Creation and a Use of Didactic Presentations in Teaching General Chemistry

Cíle Hlavním cílem této disertační práce je nalézt vhodnou formu prezentací určených pro výuku tak, aby žáci při výuce doplněné prezentacemi byli aktivně zapojeni do výuky a spolupodíleli se na tvorbě znalostí, vědomostí a dovedností z oblasti obecné chemie. Součástí hlavního cíle práce je dále vytvořit soubor prezentací zahrnujících učivo obecné chemie pro střední školy tak, aby žáci byli schopni získané znalosti, vědomosti a dovednosti využívat ve studiu dalších oblastí chemie. Metody Při tvorbě prezentací jsme vycházely především ze zásady maximálního využití grafických a názorných prvků, tedy obrázků, schémat, fotografií, animací, grafů a tabulek. Dále jsme se snažily o dodržení zásad týkajících se barevnosti a typů písma (např. velikost písma minimálně 20 bodů, používání bezpatkového písma atd.) Dalším podkladem při tvorbě prezentací byla podrobná rešeršní práce. Vycházely jsme jednak z výzkumů, které se zabývají přímo ověřováním efektivity a dopadů prezentací na edukační proces [1, 2, 3, 4] , ale také z prací, které se věnují vlivu grafiky na proces učení a porozumění [4, 5]. V další fázi byli vyzváni učitelé, kteří měli zájem začlenit prezentace do výuky, aby se zúčastnili semináře, ve kterém jim byly tyto prezentace představeny a byly jim zodpovězeny dotazy, které se týkaly práce s prezentacemi ve...

TITLE: Analysis of graphics editors ABSTRACT: The aim of the diploma work is to compare and evaluate mainly free raster and vector editors and viewers (photo file managers) which could be used at the environment of primary and secondary schools. In the opening part of the work there are briefly mentioned real possibilities of using graphics applications at schools. Separate analyses of all programmes are described in following parts. The analyses deal with features of the programmes, hardware requirements and usability. The comparisons should offer enough general information for choosing the correct software. The important part of the work is the research and it's three questionnaire investigations. Their results demonstrate real usage of graphic software among informants from all of the Czech Republic.
