The level of physical activity and physical fitness at elementary school-age children.

Title: The Level of Physical Activity and Physical Fitness at Elementary School-Age Children Author: Bc. Filip Soucha Thesis supervizor: Mgr. Jakub Kokštejn, Ph.D. Objectives: To determine and compare the level of physical activity, physical fitness and the amount of subcutaneous fat at younger school children. Furthermore, the next goal is to find out the correlation between them. Methods: The research group consists of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade pupils (n=77). The Unifittest (6-60) was applied to deduce the level of physical fitness, the TGMD- 2 test was employed to find out the level of physical activity. In addition, somatic measurements, which are integral to the Unifittest (6-60), were utilized to discover the amount of subcutaneous fat. Results: 32% of children showed average results in the complex physical fitness due to test standard. The same percentage of children (34%) was above and below the average standard as well. 79% of children presented imbalanced performances in particular tests. The best results were seen in sit-up test on the contrary, the worst results were given in endurance shuttle run. The level of subcutaneous fat was above-average at 50% of children,. The results of physical activity level uncovered the below-average performances at the research group -70% of the children....
Analysis of children preparing for football: category of older preparatory

Title: Analysis of children preparing for football - category of older preparatory Objectives: To examine the training process of football players in light of training content. To focus on stimulated locomotive abilities, practiced skills and used didactic forms in children training. To compare gained information from practice with theoretic resources. Methods: The base of practic part is the method of observation and interview with trainer (head coach). In inspections of training sessions there is composition of training content registered which is analysed afterwards. There are statistic methods of frequency and percentage expression used for obtaining results. In discussion I try to compare outputs of the practice with the theoretic ones by method of comparison. Results: The coach in training process mainly focused on stimulating coordination and speed abilities. The most often rehearsed activity of indivdual play was running the ball. From MOF coach used the most setting-up exercises and preparatory games but hardly even play exercises The coach aplicated the collective form in the most of exercises. Swimming instruction of mentally handicapped individual and his/her integration - Down's syndrome

The subject of the diploma thesis concerns the integration of mentally handicapped individuals into the group of standard population in the course of preparatory training of swimming. The aim of the thesis is the evaluation and charting of the problem of the Down syndrome and on the basis of the results the proposal and verification of the conception of integration of the handicapped person. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis is based upon the characteristics of the specific traits of mentally handicapped individuals, it explains the terms of the Down syndrome, it explains the integration of mentally handicapped individuals, and it informs about the swimming as a means of integration into the society. The practical part of the diploma thesis described the course of the research work, it characterizes the studied group of individuals, it includes the results of testing (Štochl, 2002) and it registers the acquiring of the respective aptitudes. The results are evaluated by verbal description as well as by the form of graphs. The practical part includes also the preparation of the conception of social integration of mentally handicapped individuals, which has been prepared on the basis of analysis of specialized literature and on the basis of practical and theoretical experience. PHYSICAL SKILLS OF 5th CLASS -CHILDREN IN VILLAGES AND CITIES AND THEIR COMPARISION

The goal of this bachelor's thesis was to determine the level of physical skills of children in 5th grade and to compare the level of skills of children in primary schools in villages and cities. Due to the vastness of the topic only gymnastic skills were chosen for the purpose of this research. The gymnastic skills were selected based on the curriculum of physical education for 5th grades of primary schools. The skills chosen were: somersault, somersault back, hand stand and vault. The testing was conducted at selected primary schools during classes of physical education with help from physical education teachers. Children were classified by rating scales; these rating scales were created separately for each physical skill. Graphic elaboration of the results was created to help evaluate the research. Furthermore we were interested whether there are more children with apparent overweight in primary schools in cities or in primary schools in villages. We also wanted to distinguish to what extent these children affected the results of the research.
Gymnastics programs in preelementary school

The topic of this bachelor's thesis are gymnastics programs in kindergartens. The work focuses on the use of basic gymnastics during physical activities in kindergartens. The theoretical part deals with basic knowledge of child development at preschool age, characteristics and specific features of gymnastic activities suitable for children of preschool age. This work also highlights the continuity of physical activity on "General educational program for pre-school education." The aim of this thesis is to find out which conditions kindergarten teachers have to put into gymnastic practise activities. What are their basic knowledge of motion development of preschool children and how is the realization of gymnastic activities in kindergartens implemented. This experiment investigate how a group of children can deliberatly change their level of physical skills.
