Restoration of the chateau and manor house in Vážany nad Litavou
Pruchová, Patricie ; Ing. arch. Petra Žalmanová, Ph.D (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor) ; Struhala, Karel (advisor)
The subject of this work is the restoration of the chateau and the manor house in Vážany nad Litavou. This building is located in the center of the southern part of the village of Vážany nad Litavou, on the main street of this southern part of the village. The building is a corner building that takes on quite a bit of dominance through its subdivisions. The building is not a cultural monument, but as part of this work we try to treat the building as if it were a cultural monument. The building dates back to the 1880s. The building includes a shed, which is probably added later. When inspecting the building, it is clear that the construction went through several different periods of time. It’s obvious with the hole filler, especially the windows. The aim of my design is to restore the vividness of the building, to force not only the locals to visit beautiful vaults and to restore the dominant object.
Reconstruction of Medov court Hermanuv Mestec
Grünwald, Jakub ; Mikeš, Stanislav (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor's thesis is to draw up the project documentation for the building permit and also to make parts of the documentation for the execution of the construction. The project proceeds from the architectonic study which was worked out during the summer semester in 2019 in pursuance of the subject AG035 Architectural design studio V.- Monument restoration. The main topic of the study is an overall reconstruction of the homestead and finding a new functional use of the listed building. The assigned parcel of land is situated in the Masaryk's square in Heřmanův Městec. The building historical research states a proof of the existence of the homestead already in 1591. The complicated constructional history of the object is in accordance with its function to provide a farming, dwelling and administrative base for the adjoining, aristocratic mansion. Towards the end of the 18 century this building went through the classicism transformation which has been defining its external appearance up to now. These days the building is mostly used as accommodation for a socially lower class which resulted in the deterioration of its technical state. This piteous situation more and more endangers the protected values of the listed building. The primary aim was to find the right concept with respect to the functional use of the solved object. The whole effort was aimed to create such a functional content which would breath life to the Medov's homestead and will open its door to the inhabitants as well as visitors. In the object there are situated premises that will not directly endanger or degrade the listed building by any their activities. These premises will make a maximal use of the homestead possible in the course of all day. Last but not least I also put an emphasis on the economic aspect of the building by placing restaurants, small shops and an administrative center in order to generate a certain financial benefit for the town.

Reconstruction of the Pohorelec at the JAMU Stage Design Studio
Kaděrková, Erika ; Mikeš, Stanislav (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor) ; Lavický, Miloš (advisor)
This thesis offers the complete documentation for the building permit and partial documentation for the construction work. It is based on an architectural plan and it is the outcome of AG35 (Architectural Design Studio 5) course. The two objectives of this study are the renovation of the former building of the Prosecutor General´s Office in Kobližná Street 22, that can be found in Brno city centre near Liberty Square (Náměstí svobody), and the suggestion about the new purpose of its usage. The renovation is possible under the condition that the ground plan of the building and partially also its exterior design should be preserved. To maintain the exterior design of this functionalist-style building I used e.g. the installation of new windows that are very similar to continuous windows. The interior of the building is completely altered and it is adapted to the new purpose of the building. I found inspiration in some of the original architectural elements, such as glass bricks or cast terazzo flooring. The building will serve as JAMU (Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno) headquarters, namely for Stage Setting and Lighting Design Studio and for the rectorate. The Stage Setting and Lighting Design Studio premises are designed in terms of mutifunctionality - with sliding walls we can change the room design and adapt them to different types of use. The two floors with the studios will be newly connected with suspended staircase. There will be a public café for on the ground floor. The makeover of the front garden is also a part of this thesis. There is a water element that can be used as a stage, a sitting and an additional greenery.

Relations among Heritage Restoration Stakeholders
Badal, Ivo
Today, heritage conservation is a problematic process from the point of view of the legislative framework as well as the relations among the stakeholders. The Act on Heritage Conservation, still in force, was adopted in 1987. Since then, several amendments to this Act have been made to reflect changes in related legislation (the Code of Administrative Procedure, the Building Act, the Civil Code, harmonisation with EU legislation,…); nevertheless, the Act on Heritage Conservation does not respond to all of the heritage conservation needs in the context of the current economic situation and situation in society.
The Reconstruction of the Old Post Building in Rousínov
Chovanečková, Nikol ; Vaněk, Petr (referee) ; Vojtová, Lea (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The theme of the bachelor’s thesis is the reconstruction of the building of the former Post Office on the square in Rousínov, and its adjacent extension. This project originates from a studio project elaborated in the summer semester of the second grade of the bachelor’s study. In the past there was a post office, telegraph and telephone switchboard on the second floor. On the first floor there was a flat and some shops. In the front facade there was a barber Svoboda, collection of cloths and bones, staircase to the second floor and dwellings for poor. In previous time there were twelve hired soldiers with a their sergeant accommodated. The building remained unused for a long time, which affected the current technical condition. Nowadays it is impossible to use the building for the same purpose as in the past. For that reason it is necessary to find a new functional utilization. The building itself is rather small, of a simple rectangle ground plan. Along with the church and repaired old townhall it forms important places on the square of Rousínov. Taking into consideration the building location the information center, services for public, ie. hairdresser, beauty care, manicure, pedicure is designed on the first floor. On the second floor there are premises to be let for administrative purposes. In the attic there are social premises, such as projection hall or premises for family celebrations or business meetings. An important requirement was to keep the character of baroque‘s features – moulding, window holes, attic roof and broken arcs, arcades in the interior. The newly designed building consists of two parts – connecting glass passageway and a building used as an exhibition hall with public toilets. Due to lack of public and social events in the town Rousínov, on the first floor of the new building there is a sport’s center designed with two multipurposes halls, massages and a reception desk. All premises in the newly designed building as well as
Restoration of historical building - Malá Františkánská Znojmo
Šašinka, Jaromír ; Hubáček,, Petr (referee) ; Myslín, Jiří (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis is based on a studio project created in the summer term of third year of bachelor studies. The main theme of this project is architecture restoration of a Gothic burgher town house. The building site is located in the conservation area of the town Znojmo, on the corner of streets Malá Františkánská and Klácelova, nearby the St. Nicholas church. The house underwent both baroque and classicist reconstruction. Early in the 21st. century, the house lost its roof and, in the course of several following years, the ceiling structures collapsed. What has been preserved by now is the gothic entrance portal and some fragments of the exterier gothic masonry. Although the house is located inside an ancient urban conservation area, I have decided for an unusual architecture solution. My main idea was to design simple modern structure in harmony with the gothic masonry. I decided not to place new structures on the top of the ruins of the gothic masonry but to place the new mass of the building behind the gothic walls. There is glass fasade on the first floor of the building which provides comunication between interier and exterier through the ruins of exterier gothic masonry. The simple structure of second floor is raised on collumns behind the glass facade. The shape of structure refers to buildings surround. Exterier material finish of the structure is concrete facade panel (same material on walls and roof). The important part of exterier are frames of windows in the second floor. And the structure of elevator. The building will be used as gallery of modern art with bar&cafe. There will be preserved renaissance vault in the basement.
