Processing and Storing IoT Data in Relational Databases with Application of Cloud Services
Hlava, Jakub ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Hynek, Jiří (advisor)
Smart cities and systems for their management are constantly producing great amount of data, which needs to be processed and stored. The goal of this Bachelor's thesis is to create a tool, which will make developers able to test influence of this amount of data on their system, especially on database server. Then they will be able to adjust their cloud infrastructure for assumed level of load before it's real-world deployment. The tool is developed using Python programming language as collection of components which makes scalable load testing possible from many places at the same time. Data about the course of test and about service of PostgreSQL database server is collected by the tool during testing. Course of the test can be controlled and monitored by user using integrated web interface, which also visualizes collected data in form of charts. The tool was created in cooperation with Logimic, s.r.o., tailored to their system for smart cities management.

Roof prefabricated elements
Sicha, Jakub ; Bažant, Zdeněk (referee) ; Zich, Miloš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on prefabricated reicforced cocrete elements. Specifically coruggated slabs or Čiževsky slabs. Thesis is based of load test of these slabs. The calculation shows the stress of the slab in the roof structure and load capacity. These results are compared with the load test. There is some examples of constructions where the slabs was situated or is situated including faults and fault handling.
Design of selected details of concrete structures reinforced with composite reinforcement
Vašátko, David ; Lyčka, Lukáš (referee) ; Girgle, František (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is to explore and describe behavior of slab in punching shear. In total four concrete slabs were experimentally tested; each being reinforced differently. Using real experiments, there was a possibility to observe different behavior of steel and FRP reinforcement, eventually even the effect of adding FRP stirrups on load-bearing capacity. For the purpose of experimental testing design, currently placed formulas used to determine punching shear capacity were adjusted for application on longitudinal and shear FRP reinforcement. Atena software was used to approximate behavior of specimens by performing a nonlinear analysis. After the results of loading tests were obtained, next step was the comparison of design approaches and comparison of behavior of nonlinear model to a real specimen. In practical part, design of locally supported slab with requirement of non-magnetic reinforcement took place.
Plan curved structures supported by arches
Trenz, Jan ; Zich, Miloš (referee) ; Vítek,, Jan (referee) ; Stráský, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this doctoral thesis is the research of the plan curved footbridges with the deck supported by arch. The research is preceded by the survey of present findings about arch structures with upper deck. The summary of reasons and difficulties of design of plan curved structures follows. The appropriate approach for design of plan curved structure is searched on the basis of methods for design of straight structure. The design of arch which is subjected to minimal bending moments is emphasised. At first, the structure is designed in the same way as straight structure and the limit plan curvature (for which the method is not suitable anymore) is sought. Then the approach based on method of inversion of suspended cable is examined and adapted for designing of plan curved arch geometry. The approach is thoroughly analysed through calculation model and experimentally verified on physical model in scale 1:10. The process of design, construction and testing of the physical model is described in detail. Measured deformations and stresses are compared with expected behaviour based on numerical analysis. The comparison proves good correlation between calculation and measurement, as well as high load bearing capacity of the structure.
Static load test of the support structure
Chytil, Jan ; Žítt, Petr (referee) ; Daněk, Petr (advisor)
Subject of the thesis is experimental verification of load capacity of construction for storage coal by using load test. In the first part, the analysis of sorts of load tests is made and its execution in causality with standard regulations. Further possible options of bringing test load are described and also the method of evaluation of static load test. Second part looks into the analysis of means of measurement which can be used to determine required quantity. Final part is dedicated to realization and evaluation of the load test on material construction followed by comparison of experimental values with values established on a model of construction created by using computing program.
Possibility of using of fibre-concrete at composite steel-concrete structures
Pozdíšek, Jan ; Karmazínová, Marcela (advisor)
The aim of the offered thesis is an analysis of usage of uncommon concrete matrix and its contribution to steel-concrete composites structures. It especially refers to the area of internal supports, where usually acts negative bending moments. These statical systems are very often used for bridge structures, or even for building constructions. Nowdays, the static infuence of concrete at the area of negative moment is neglected. Only the steel part of cross section and steel reinforcement are included to the static action. This work is focused on the usage of tensile strength of uncommon concrete. The improvement of tensile strength of cement matrix is due to glass fiber reinforcement acting as scattered reinforcing. The introduction is focused on common approach of design of the structures mentioned above. Next, there is a part which describes possibilites of using fibre reinforcing until nowdays.
Application of the load-transfer method in determination of the micropiles load-displacement curve
Mareš, Matěj ; Havlíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Chalmovský, Juraj (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is about the use of load transfer method for micropiles design. Load tests of micropiles, GEWI system and Ischebeck TITAN system, bored mostly in neogene clays were evaluated. The obtained test results were subsequently utilized for inverse analysis of limit load curve and validation of recommended input parameters for the prediction of micropile behaviour using the load transfer method within the PMpLTO software. Lastly, a parametric study considering various micropile lengths was performed and evaluated.
Selected aspects of diagnostics of the reinforced concrete structure of the interwar period of the 20th century
Žítt, Petr ; Bílek,, Vlastimil (referee) ; Pěnčík, Jan (referee) ; Daněk, Petr (advisor)
The dissertation deals with diagnostics and load tests of a reinforced concrete ceiling structure built in the interwar period of the 20th century. The theoretical part of the work is an excerpt from standard regulations for the design of structures in terms of material properties of concrete and reinforcement, the implementation of load tests and measuring equipment used. Furthermore, static calculations according to relevant standards, numerical and stochastic analysis of selected members. The practical part of the work is then focused on performing experimental load tests of selected elements of the ceiling structure with appropriate diagnostic work, which includes determining the geometry of the supporting structure, reinforcement of elements and determining the quality of built-in materials. An integral part of the practical part of the work is based on the data obtained from the performed load tests and diagnostic work to perform a static assessment of the affected structures and to compile a deterministic and stochastic FEM model of the selected member. The conclusion is a comparison of measured data with FEM analyzes, analysis of the justification of the use a load tests in the context of classical diagnostic methods and the methodology of the optimal number of test samples for objective evaluation of the actual state of the structure.
