Safety of pneumatic press model
Nešpor, Tomáš ; Foukal, Roman (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
This thesis is concerning functional safety of machinery, concretely safeguard of model of pneumatic press. In the document is briefly introduced norm, which determines safety standards during designing of safe machine. In the next part is mentioned risk assessment written as technical report. In risk assessment are identified possible risks that could appear during working on machine. Furthermore there are listed safety precautions ensuing from assessed risks, list of elements which has been used to safety control of pneumatic press and evaluation of risks according to EN ISO 13849-1 norm. In the part Programming of the device (Programování zařízení) is configuration manual of the device and description of control programme. The description of visualization in FactoryTalk programme is at the end of this thesis.
Design of test stand for servodrive loading
Gricman, Roman ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Huzlík, Rostislav (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on a design of test stand for servodrives loading. The theoretical part analyses state of art of load testing systems and describes main parts of workplaces. In the practical part is design of mechanical construction of workplace and electrical parts of machine. Master’s thesis also includes verification of properties of mechanical assembly and safety functionality verification.
Pallet conveyor retrofit
Thér, Tomáš ; Jirgl, Miroslav (referee) ; Benešl, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis designes new hardware and software designated for retrofit of a pallet conveyor for the purpose of improvement of it's functionability and safety. The work consists of a theoretical describtion of new and already used electrical components, their utilization and creation of the technical documentation. The next part deals with the design of the control software and visualization of the HMI panel. A virtual model of the conveyor was created to test the functionability of the program before it was tested on the real conveyor. The last part consist of funcional safety's theory and its evaluation.
Functional Safety for Microcontrollers
Klecker, Jan ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Hejátková, Edita (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with the principles and mechanisms of functional safety for microcontrollers. The IEC 60730 and IEC 60335 standards are described, from which the requirements for testing of microcontroller functional blocks are derived. Furthermore, the requirements for designing safety software are discussed. The most important chapter of the theoretical part is the design and discussion of functional safety tests for the given peripherals. In the practical part, a demo hardware of a gas boiler with safety features and diagnostic mechanisms controlled by two NXP KV46 microcontrollers communicating via a UART interface is designed. In the software chapter, the design of the application software for the gas boiler is described and then functional safety tests are implemented for the microcontrollers. For testing and demonstration purposes, a graphical user interface is designed in the FreeMASTER tool.
Detecting RTOS Runtime Anomalies
Arm, Jakub ; Jalovecký, Rudolf (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
Due to higher requirements of computational power and safety, or functional safety ofequipments intended for the use in the industrial domain, embedded systems containing areal-time operating system are still the active area of research. This thesis addresses thehardware-assisted control module that is based on the runtime model-based verificationof a target application. This subsystem is intended to increase the diagnostic coverage, particularly, the detection of the execution errors. After the specification of the architecture, the formal model is defined and implemented into hardware using FPGA technology. This thesis also discuss some other aspects and embodies new approaches in the area ofembedded flow control, e.g. the integration of the design patterns. Using the simulation, the created module was tested using the created scenarios, which follow the real programexecution record. The results suggest that the error detection time is lower than usingstandard techniques, such a watchdog.
Improvement of company processes to assure safety of products
Zvolánková, Kateřina ; Jankových, Róbert (referee) ; Prostredník, Daniel (advisor)
The diploma thesis devotes to the process of ensuring functional safety of products in Bosch Rexroth Brno, which deals with industrial hydraulic systems. The first part introduces the basic legislative regulations concerning product safety and describes selected standards relevant to this thesis. The second part focuses on Bosch Rexroth and the current state in the field of ensuring functional safety of their products. It also includes a description of the functional safety solution of a specific project – a hydraulic try-out press. At the end of the thesis, improvements to the process of ensuring functional safety in response to the identified shortcomings are proposed.
Methodology Development and Validation of Software for Safety-Related Parts of Control Systems in Theater Technique
Drlík, Michal ; Suchánek, Rostislav (referee) ; Sinay, Juraj (referee) ; Blecha, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes what the theatre is and what types of machinery can be found there. Then the issue of stage technical machinery is presented into the czech context, respectively into the Europian legislation with the emphasis on the technical norms usage, which are necessary to fulfil in order to reach this aim. In the next part of the thesis is made the analysis of control systems, which are used in the stage technics with the emphasis on the functionality of these control systems, since this functionality determines number and range of possible danger and dangerous events, later on. These dangerous situations are named and specified in detail, thereby their existence, importance and necessity of solution is being emphasized. There is also a possible solution outlined that these dangerous events can be solved in many cases by using of these programmable systems relating to the safety, thereby safety functions realized by these functions. Then the single steps are described into V-model with appropriate documents of these V-model steps. Outcome of this thesis will be suggested model of method and its development and software validation for programmable and control systems in theatre technology.
Self-Testing of Microcontrollers
Denk, Filip ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
This Master's thesis deals with functional safety of electronic systems. Specifically, it focuses on self-testing of the microprocessor and its peripherals at the software level. The main aim of the thesis is to design and implement a set of functions written in programming language C or assembly language, which automatically test the selected areas of the microcontroller. Resources and methods used in the implemented solution also aim to meet the requirements according to the safety standard IEC 60730-1, Annex H, Software Class B. The microcontroller NXP LPC55S69 was chosen as a hardware platform. It consists of two ARM Cortex-M33 cores. As a result, the example application is provided, which uses implemented test functions at the run-time. Example application also contains a graphical user interface with fault injection ability.
