Company Performance Measurement

The diploma thesis is focused on the financial and business performance of the company using benchmarking. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with selected approaches and methods that are suitable for evaluating the performance of the selected company. The basis for evaluating the work is the part containing the analyzed company and its current state of the situation in comparison with selected competing companies. The main part of the work is devoted to benchmarking based on publicly available data from financial statements. Data from the Amadeus database and the public register of companies are used for this purpose. Out of a total of 4 competitors, 2 competing companies are selected on the basis of direct competition (in the region). The conclusion summarizes the main findings of the analysis but also contains recommendations to improve the financial performance of the company.

Evaluation of the Company´s Financial Performance Using Benchmarkingu Approach

The master’s thesis deals with evalutation of financial performance of company through benchmarking. A firm AQUA PROCON, Ltd. operates in field of designing and engineering activities with a focus on water management constructions. Business in this thesis is analised from two points of view. The first one is comparison with a specific field according to CZ-NACE M-7112 – Engineering and another technical consulting. The second one is company‘s performance compared to chosen competitors. The aim of analising both views is to find weak spots and suggest solutions, which will lead to improvement of performance and stability of the company on the market.

This thesis was written in company J.P Plast, Ltd. Contains all important parts to managed the risks. In the theoretical part we have done general definition of risks, risk management and etc. The first part of work includes analyzes of actual situacion at the company. In the practical part I did it actual situation by SLEPT analysis, SWOT, finance analysis and etc. According to analyzes we found risks and suggested actions to improve the competitive position of company on the market.

The topic of this thesis is to increase the competitive position of the firm Plastika a.s. with the help of creation a new marketing strategy for the next period of time. The analysis of the present marketing strategy is the base for it. The first part of this work is based on the theory. The second part introduces the company Plastika a.s.. There is carried out the analysis of the current situation which focuses on its present marketing strategy. The third suggestion part formulates the suggestion of the new marketing strategy for the next period of time which will lead to the improvement of the competitive position of the firm Plastika on the market.

Valuation of the company Pietro Filipi, s.r.o.

The aim of this thesis is to determine market value of the Czech clothing company Pietro Filipi s. r. o. to the valuation date 30th 11th 2012 using the DCF method yield entities. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part includes the basic concepts of business valuation theory, basic calculations, methods and procedures for determining the value of the company. The second part deals with the application of theoretical methods to the conditions of society. Contains acclaimed performance company, strategic analysis, expressing the position in the market and evaluate its competitiveness and financial analysis to appraise the current financial situation of the company. The results of these analyzes are used to forecast value generators, which are the main determinants for business valuation. After the financial plan, the company awarded the chosen method.
