Price, quality and risk of providing facility management services

This thesis focuses on prices, quality & risks of the Facility management. In the theoretical part there are explained points referring to the Facility management, it’s contributions, ways of securing them, important fields and it’s targets. Also individual levels of cooperation and the job description of the management. There is also a mention of an important standardization, of which the Facility management couldn’t function without. Also the example of service contract and lastly, a very important chapter is dedicated to the quality of work provision and Facility management services. The practical part of this thesis is the case study based on a questionnaire of how to support services of the two different subjects, hotels and construction companies. The case study also describes the cost of these services, ways of controlling the quality provided and contracts with appointed workers. The result of this thesis is a detailed description of potential risks which can appear in the individual type of services. There is a suggested optimization for all the risks mentioned.
Importance of facility management in the enterprise

The diploma thesis called "Importance of facility management in the enterprise" examines support services working toward satisfaction and comfort of building users. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes importance of facility management, its development and activities. The practical part consists of case study that analyses the implementation of Facility department in multinational hi-tech company dealing with research, development and manufacturing of electron microscopes. Special attention is given to the clean rooms where microscopes and spectroscopes are produced. The thesis concludes with assessment analysis of specific Facility department focused on benefits which this department brings to the company and its employees.
Information System for Property Management

The purpose of this bachelor thesis was to analyze application of information systems in property management and then design and implement such system. Special attention was given to users roles, their permissions and security. The part of implemented system was also multilanguage user interface and export to PDF format.
Analytical Framework for Facility Management in ArcGIS

This thesis deals with design and implementation of analytical modules library for administration of buildings in ArcGIS geographic information system. Individual modules are implemented in Python and solve sub-problems when working with geographical data. They can be also connected to the larger units and then solve problems with greater complexity. Central concept of project and journaling systems makes library extensible with new modules. Implemented set of modules process input data from supplier and converts them to the structure of geographical data in ArcGIS. This conversion is illustrated in this thesis.
Using Facility Management for efficient energy saving of buildings

This bachelor thesis deals with Facility Management, which integrates supporting ac-tivities for building users (facility users). The theoretical part describes the meaning and goals of Facility Management and its development in the world. A part of the work is devoted to the actual application of the long-awaited standardization in the field of Facilitation Management. The practical part describes the maintenance and supporting activities for a particular building object -- the fast food restaurant in Brno. The results show how the use of Facility Management affects the benefits of the building owner and the facility user.
Facility management - effective administration of buildings

Thesis "Facility management - efficient administration buildings" is focused on building objects and benefit for the use of facility management services. The work tries to explain what is facility management, who provide it in the Czech Republic and how it contributes to savings. Mentioned are also information technology used in facility management, because without those are nowadays almost any industry can do. The first part is also focused on the construction, its life cycle and associated costs. Defined is also building life cycle in the context of facility management, outsourcing, as an external facility management services and neglected nor legislation for facility management.
Proposal for the Creation of a Regulatory Base for Company

For thesis company SCF Servis, s.r.o. was chosen which is located in Holasice near the city of Brno. Company occupies with construction and mainly with comprehensive property management. Thesis describes current regulatory base of company and make proposals for its improvement. The first part contains theoretical solutions. The second part deals with overall analysis of the company. In the third part there are suggestions for improvements of internal standards. Final section presents assessment overal benefits.
Novolíšeňská roastery and café

The aim of this master project is to design café and roastery building in Brno - Líšeň. There are three parts, documentation for building permission, conception of HVAC documentation and facility management study. The building has three floors: basement with storage and utility rooms, ground floor with a café, coffee shop and roastery and first floor with a barista training room, offices and a roof garden with a terrace. Outside, there is an outdoor seating, children’s playground and a parking lot for customers and staff. The vertical loadbearing structures are designed from ceramic blocks and permanent formwork. The horizontal loadbearing structures are designed as cast-in-place reinforced concrete slabs and beams. There are three staircases in the building, one is designed from steel and the other two from cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The building is insulated with expanded polystyrene panels. The foundations are cast-in-place concrete strips. There are solar panels situated on the flat roof over the first floor. The building has mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. There is an underground tank for collecting rainwater that is used for toilet flushing and watering the garden. For heating and DHW there are two gas boilers, for cooling there is a VRV system.

Impact of the company's allocation to optimize its operation using the principles of facility management

A number of partial restructuring measures are offered to optimize business operation to improve its efficiency and performance. The structure inside the company is one of the most important tools for managing its performance and its correct definition, and a proper and meaningful distribution can play a key role in the competitive environment. In many cases, the requirement for optimization of operation will arise from the requirements of facility management, and therefore restructuring measures relating to organizational changes should be implemented with respect to the principles of facility management or should be based on its optimization. This thesis presents the impact of restructuring measures by centralizing of divisions on optimizing its operation with respect to the facility management. The aim of the dissertation is to evaluate the organizational change in the company with several divisions, taking into account the principles of facility management. The result of this thesis are the methodical recommendations during the establishment and evaluation of the division´s centralization in the company. It is based on the findings from the literature review and the real change in the building company.
