Local heating units for family house - case study
Nováček, Milan ; Touš, Michal (referee) ; Vondál, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with selected methods of heating a house. The first part is dedicated to familiarization with the possibility of local heating of houses and the analysis of individual sources and heating equipment. The second part describes the designed family house. For this house were proposed some proposals by heating. The next step was to evaluate the individual proposals and select three that were assessed in terms of economic analysis. Economic analysis compared the start-up costs and operating costs. The proposals were compared with existing heating systems. At the end of the proposals was evaluated and determined the best method of heating the house.
Energy Audit of Multipurpose Building
Čajčíková, Jolana ; Počinková, Marcela (referee) ; Horák, Petr (advisor)
The theme of this diploma thesis are the issue of energy evaluation of buildings and the reduction of energy consumption in the Czech legal system in the theoretical part, an analysis of energy consumption of the judged building in an old and new state in the calculation part and an energy audit of the main building of SRC Lihovar in Třemošnice according to Decree no. 480/2012 Coll. The three-storey main building of sports and rehabilitation center is located on the southern edge of city Třemošnice and it used to be a distillery until it has been renovated in 2013. There is a restaurant with a bowling room, hotel with two conference lounges, wellness, fitness and a swimming pool. The heat source for this building are two gas boilers, three heat pumps and solar collector array. There is partly forced and partly natural ventilation installed in the building.
Heating of low-energy houses
Poláčik, Ján ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Hrnčířová, Michaela (advisor)
Low-energy houses are becoming more common and requested. This work describes possibilities and various ways of space heating in such houses. It also analyses specific energy sources, their availability as well as an environmental impact. The work includes a design of heating for a display low-energy house.
History and development of czech power plant
PAVLOVSKÁ, Amalie
The main aim of the work was to understand the complex and demanding path in the development of energy and power engineering in the Czech lands from the end of the 19th century to the present. The introduction generally outlines the intention to briefly exclude the key moments that affected our energy. The next sections first describe the historical individual periods in which the power plants were built on the basis of certain conditions. Then I deal in detail with the most frequently used types of power plants in the Czech Republic with more emphasis on one of the modern technologies of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant. The last larger chapter is a reflection on the possible development of energy in the future.
Regional waste-to-energy systems
Krňávek, Martin ; Jelemenský, Karol (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (referee) ; Stehlík, Petr (advisor)
The doctoral thesis deals with regional energy utilization of municipal waste, sewage sludge and hazardous medical waste. In the first part of the thesis, the conditions under which waste-to-energy plants can be effectively integrated into regional energy supply system are assessed. In this introductory part, the current energy situation, legislation as well as waste in the Czech Republic are analyzed. Furthermore, the possibilities of integration at different levels in relation to the WtE plant and the complex waste management concept are described. In the next part of the thesis, the possibilities of long-term and short-term energy accumulation for the WtE plant are assessed. From the point of view of short-term energy accumulation, warm water, hot water and steam accumulators are assessed and from the point of view of long-term energy accumulation, the storage of plastic and bulky waste and sewage sludge is analyzed. The created techno-economic models of modern technologies for energy utilization of municipal waste, sewage sludge and hazardous medical waste are described in the main part of the thesis. In the last part of the thesis, the proposed techno-economic models are applied to the conditions of the specific region, and the effectiveness of tailor-made solutions respecting the 3E (environmental protection, energy situation and economic aspects) is demonstrated on this example.
Modern Trends of Household Heating
Hornák, Pavol ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
While building a house or during it’s reconstruction is a type of heating one of the most important tasks. This thesis contains complex view of heating methods and subsequent comparison of selected methods.
Energy assessment of the building
Bidmonová, Renata ; Velísková, Eva (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the energetic evaluation of the building in Brno. It is divided into three parts. Part A focuses on basic definitions and division problematics under applicable laws, decrees, and technical standards. Part B provides a more detailed description of the individual relationships and calculation procedures used to process the parts of the building's energy performance certificate. Furthermore, proposals for measures to improve the energy performance of a building, economic and environmental assessment. Part C contains a description of the object, its construction solution and the specifications of the BS (Institute of Building Services) systems. Furthermore, the calculation of energy needs for individual BS (Institute of Building Services) systems. Designing austerity measures for a given object. The main part of the bachelor thesis is experimental measurement and its evaluation.
Effective Technologies for Heating
Čapoš, Eduard ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to summarize knowledge about current methods of heating family houses with it’s main focus on description and comparison. Second part of this thesis compares chosen methods applied on the model house.
The Impact of Renewable Energy on the EU Electricity Prices and CO2 Emissions
Čech, Marek ; Janda, Karel (advisor) ; Luňáčková, Petra (referee)
This thesis is focused on the topic of electricity pricing in the European Union connected with the increasing use of renewable energy sources in electricity production and consumption. It provides background information related to the types of energy sources along with the summary of their advantages and disadvantages regarding both the environmental impact and financial costs. Furthermore, it involves fundamental global and European electricity production statistics and a summary of the European Union approach to the support of environment-friendly energy production methods. The core of the thesis is then the econometric panel data model (data collected from 13 member states of the European Union over the period between 2010 and 2013) analysing two relationships. First, the impact of the share of renewable energy sources in the final electricity production on the European consumer electricity prices. Second, whether the replacement of fossil fuels by renewable energy causes a significant decrease in the greenhouse gases (specifically carbon dioxide) emissions. In conclusion, this paper provides suggestions for further research based on the analyses included in it. JEL Classification H20, Q20, Q40, Q47, Q48, Q54 Keywords carbon dioxide emissions, electricity price, energy sources, renewable energy...
Energy independence and optimization of energy consumption with use renewable sources and smart wiring in house
Kaděra, Jan ; Hošek, Milan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on optimization of electric energy consumption in household and its energetic independence. There is an overview of available energy sources for household and possibilities of its accumulation. Next, the function of system electrical wiring is described and compared with systems in today‘s market. In more detail, the thesis deals with description of FOXTROT control system developed by the company TECO a. s. and with possibilities of its application. The study describes savings optimization from both investment and operation perspective. A comparison of appliances of two energy classes in current prices is done, as well as a comparison of one-way and two-way pricing. Savings opportunities in lighting system, temperature control and appliance division according to their manageability are demonstrated. A calculator for photovoltaic system was created which provides return time of investment upon input parameters. A part of the thesis is a project documentation realized as a stage of a household object study, on which optimization opportunities are demonstrated.
