Influence of acute stretching on strength predispositions in snowboardcross
Hanko, Michal ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Suchý, Jiří (referee)
Title: Influence of acute stretching on strength predispositions in snowboardcross Objectives: The aim of the work is to evaluate two effects of stretching - static and dynamic on the strength assumptions of the lower extremities by modifying the Bosco test in a group of 3 athletes in the snowboardcross discipline. Methods: Power Measurement in Bosco's Test Modification (3 series jumps of 20 seconds with a 20-second pause) after 5 minutes of warm-up on the bike ergometer (1.5W/kg) and application of a predetermined static or dynamic stretch (approximately 14 minutes). The probands are 3 male athletes in the snowboardcross discipline, aged from 16 to 23 years. Their fitness training consists of a gym 3 times a week (60-90min), gymnastics twice a week (90 min) and an individual evening stretching to develop flexibility at least 3 times a week (30 min). In the off-season, athletic training once a week (60 min). Measured values are - jump count, flight phase time in seconds, contact phase time in seconds, average power expressed in watts, and power drop in percent. Results: We found that two types of stretching - dynamic and static - have different effects on performance in the Bosco test modification. Significantly better results were achieved after application of dynamic stretching. In average...
Stretching and the Maximal Muscle Strength
Šádek, Petr ; Konopková, Renata (advisor) ; Otáhal, Jakub (referee)
Title: The effect of stretching on maximal muscle performance Objectives: Due to the number of studies, concerning the effect of the muscle stretch on sport performance and their heterogeneity in the term of used parameters, tests and even performing the stretch exercises themselves, it would be desirable, thanks to the importance of this subject, to consolide and evaluate up-to-date knowledge. The goal of this diploma thesis is to compare and assess available literature concerning the effect of muscle stretch during warmup on the sport performance and, ideally, to define the best type of the stretching itself. Method: The diploma thesis is composed as a literature review - an integrative review with exactly defined criteria for the use of available studies. Result : Even with the nonuniformity of parameters used in available studies there is a consensus in most of the used sources, which met the criteria of inclusion in this research, which (the consensus) determinates the dynamic stretching as the form most appropriate for enhancing the following sport performance. Although studies, proving this result, are in their findings quite unanimous, a precise definition of prefered exercises for peforming the dynamic stretching and of its parameters is still missing. Key words: stretching, dynamic,...
Evaluation of the dynamic postural stability of competitive epee fencers
Durych, Martin ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Opatrná Novotná, Irena (referee)
Title: Evaluation of the dynamic postural stability of competitive epee fencers. Objectives: The aim of this work is to objectively evaluate and compare postural stability of fencers by Neurocom EquiTest computerized dynamic posturography. Methods: The work has the character of a quantitative observational study, the aim of which was to assess and compare postural stability in sport fencers. A total of 63 probands took part in the research. The experimental group consisted of 9 fencers and 7 fencers in the age range of 20-29 years (average age = 24.19, SD = 2.70). The remaining 47 individuals formed a control group (23 men, 24 women, mean age = 25.22, SD = 2.20). Postural stability was assessed using a Neurocom SMART EquiTest. A complete range of 7 tests was used - Sensory organization test (SOT), Adaptation test (ADT), Motor control test (MCT), Unilateral stance (US), Limits of stability (LOS), Rythmic weight shift (RWS) and Weight bearing squat (WBS). In the experimental group, then additional balance tests - Single leg standing test and Stork test. The measured data were statistically processed and compared in the program R. Descriptive elements were determined for the data used for this work - mean, median, standard deviation. Data normality was assessed by the Shapiro-Wilk test. The...
Simulations Of Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation Algorithms
Sikora, Pavel
This paper deals with dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithms, which are used in passive optical networks. Deployment of these algorithm is appropriate for efficient use of optical fibers. Work focus on algorithm called Hybrid Reporting Allocation and static allocation tested on own developed simulator for ten gigabit passive optical network. Paper include results from simulations.
Proprioception Training Effectiveness for Improving Balance analysed by Computerized Dynamic Posturography
Mukhtar, Mahera ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Effectiveness of Proprioception Training for Improving Balance Analyzed by Computerized Dynamic Posturography The Master thesis, based on conduction of an experimental study. The aim of this experimental study was to find out how one-time proprioceptive training can help in improving the balance. The method used for analyzing the balance was done on Neurocom as it is considered a validated technique for testing balance. Then proprioceptive training was performed for the static and dynamic stability effect. For instance, both side legs were trained and focused on the "short foot"/ "three point standing" by Janda, followed by static single leg standing with eyes open and then closed; secondly Dynamic standing by adding arm or leg movement while maintain the posural stability progressively. All based on the knowledge acquired during the Master Degree Physiotherapy program at FTVS UK. The participant's characteristic in the research are between the ages of 20 to 30 years, with no specific diagnose. All the 40 participants were divide into 2 groups, 20 of each. The Control group and the Experimental group (Proprioception intervention), each group has had their balance tested twice on the Neurocom (CDP). The control group was measured first and after 20 minutes they were measured again. The experimental group was...
Physics in sport
VANDASOVÁ, Nikola
This Bachelor thesis interconnects Physical Education and Physics. Physics plays an important role at modern top-level sports and it is one of the main influences when reaching top-level results. The theoretical part presents the theoretical explanation of dynamic and kinematic which are applied to various sports. The practical part of my Bachelor thesis focuses on chosen sports which are described from the physical point of view. The thesis is concluded by results measured on volleyball players, which shows the significant importance of physics.

Influence of Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation over Optical Network Unit
Sikora, Pavel ; Oujezský, Václav (referee) ; Horváth, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with DBA algorithms used in XG-PON networks. It describes reference appearance of the DBA algorithm, as well as, three specific DBA algorithms discussed in professional articles. Particularly speaking about GIANT, HYRA and modified Max-Min Fair DBA. The thesis provides description of frames utilized by DBA algorithms in XG-PON networks, specifically XGEM frame and XGTC frames. The thesis also presents a simulation tester of DBA algorithms tested on a virtual XG-PON network. Finally, it contains the results of testing these DBA algorithms with a description.
Basic measurement of dynamic properties of bipolar and unipolar transistors
Lang, Radek ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Dřínovský, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to describe the dynamic parameters of semiconductor devices. The other aim is to build a measuring workplace, on which is possible to carry out measurement of dynamic properties of bipolar and unipolar transistors. The bachelors’s thesis also solves a design and a production of an universal product, on which measurements are carried out. Individual measurement is automated and individual devices are connected to the product and results are controlled by computer analysis.
