Deployment of kindergartens and defining their catchment areas in the South Bohemian Region.
ŠRUC, Lukáš
This bachelor's work focuses on the deployment of kindergartens and defining their catchment areas in the South Bohemian Region. The main goal is a more detailed analysis of the parent education and limitation of catchment areas in relation to transport accessibility. The theoretical part deals with the problems associated with the regions, transport, mobility and spatial characteristics of preschool education in terms of services. In the methodological part is described data base with the issue of the acquisition, evaluation questionnaire, draft of possible methods determining the catchment area with the help of public transport and the availability of preschool device to individual transportation. In the analytical part are evaluated findings on capacity and charts of parent education, creating catchment circuits for each municipality with kindergarten within districts and defining the catchment areas of sufficient or lacking capacity. Everything is compared with the number of children aged 3 to 6 years for the current situation and development for future comparison is made with the age category of 0-3 years. An important component of this work is map outputs, which presents selected characteristics of maternal education in the area.
Definition of rural areas: approaches, methods and application to the territory of South Bohemia
NOVÁKOVÁ, Eva
The presented bachelor thesis deals with defining of urban and rural landscape areas. The main aim of the thesis is the application of three different methods of defining countryside residencies in the territory of South Bohemia from the perspective of the population size of municipalities, population density and commuting principle and also synthesis of the aforementioned approaches. The practical part is preceded by three chapters describing the theoretical foundations of the issue of rural landscape defining and providing South Bohemia characteristics. The final two chapters are focused on methodology, data processing and results analysis.
Labour commuting in the district of Strakonice: geographical aspects and current trends
VLKOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis deals with the study of the labour commuting in the district of Strakonice. Using the data from SLDB 2001 and 2011, the changes of the spatial organization of the commuting and the consequent processes of regionalization are investigated. The methods of the authors L. Sýkora, M. Hampl and M. Halás, respectively employed in the analysis of sociogeographic regionalization of the district of Strakonice are also appropriately assessed and mutually compared. Taking into account these three various methods of sociogeographic regionalization with distinct regionalization criteria allows us to examine geographical aspects of the commuting and its conditioning more in depth. The main part of the thesis concerning the above-mentioned analysis is preceded by the chapters introducing a theoretical description of commuting, the theory of regions and regionalization and the bibliography. The last chapters are devoted to methodology, resource and data processing.
Analysis of commuting from Černošice to Prague with a focus on quality of life
Bareš, Vojtěch ; Šimková, Martina (advisor) ; Krbcová, Daniela (referee)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the commute to work and school from Černošice to Prague in connection with quality of life. It focuses on analysis of the key factors that determine this phenomenon. Selected problem is solved by means of a questionnaire survey, which allowed to ascertain the views and attitudes of citizens living in the study area. Carried out research managed to establish areas of satisfaction or dissatisfaction on the contrary, the respondents in the various issues associated with commuting. The contribution of this work is to identify any adverse factors, resulting from the survey results.
The analysis of transport gradient between cities and administrative regions in the Czech Republic
Běhounek, Josef ; Toth, Petr (advisor) ; Vochozková, Jacqueline (referee)
The work focuses on regionalisation represented by gradients of population centers (meaning generally all localities with human settlement). The theoretical part deals with various approaches on creation of regions and its formation (using various models). One of the possible applications into practise of regionalisation models including its evaluation is presented in the practical part. Namely the practical part deals with the Reilly model which is formed on data about commuting (because commuting which represents gradients between centers the best). As a variable we use commuting between pairs of centers in which one center represents a nodal center while the other center is dependent on the first one and is situated in the same administrative region (okres). The work shows that the results of the model show real relationships between gradients based on commuting to work and those based on commuting to education but the results are not satisfactory in absolut numbers because the real power of nodal center is even stronger than it was expected. Nevertheless the conclusion is not disproval of possible application of Reilly model. The conclusion is that the model has to be calibrated with more variables in order to be satisfactory.
Transport behaviour of inhabitants of the Czech Republic after 1989: geographical aspects
PRENER, Jan
The main topic of this thesis is a thorough analysis of transport behaviour of Czech population since 1989. The study mainly concentrates on the issue of geographical aspects and changes in spatial distribution utilization of individual means of transport after 1989, and especially in the analyzed decade 2001 - 2011. The primary task of analyzing transport behaviour of Czech population is statistical survey based on Sčítání lidu, domů a bytů 2001 and 2011. On the basis of this and map outputs are defined spatial disparities, their essential dependence and possible development in the next decade. The thesis represents a partial research of the transport system of the Czech Republic and its spatial organization. The topic is a very broad issue therefore it is not possible to identify all the major factors that have influenced the dynamic development of the transport branch in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of this work brings a simple but complex view of the selected topic. The emphasis of the qualification thesis is focused especially on the quantitative survey, of which task is to indicate and describe the spatial changes of selected means of transport mentioned in the intercensal period. The thesis also involves a discussion about final issues of the analyzed topic in the individual sections. This discussion could be regarded as a kind of synthesis of existing scientific literature which focuses on transport behaviour and has developed it. Finally there are outlined some geographical aspects which influence the transport behaviour of the population at individual means of transport and the possible development of the examined issue in the following decade.

TICHATZEK, Aleš

The introductory chapters focus on the purpose and theoretical solutions of the thesis, and on the analysis of expert literature. The following chapters include the methodology of the thesis, the processing of data, hypothesis, and the socio-geographical characterization of those selected districts. The key chapters of the thesis provide information on the interpretation of the results of the analysis of commuting to work and to schools. The issue of commuting to work and to schools is taken into consideration both together and separately. The following chapter focuses on the changing influence of the regional city in the considered area. The final part of the thesis evaluates the results of the thesis and determined hypothesis.
