The subject of this thesis is a design of an urbanistic concept of a city block in Nové sady and design of a new city hall for Brno city on the newly formed street corner. Firstly, an analysis of the area is done to form the information foundation for the design itself. Secondly, an urbanistic concept is made, which respects and follows the character of the surrounding housing development. Finally, the city hall itself and its surroundings are designed.
Olomouc Central European Forum

The presented diploma thesis was elaborated as an architectural study of a Central European Forum in Olomouc (SEFO). Campus SEFO will be created as an reconstruction of the Museum of Modern Art (MUO) in Denis street and building in a neighboring vacant lot. The proposal involves urban, architectural, operational layout, design and material solutions objects in spatial context. Within SEFO and MUO they are created each operation - stand-alone units. Objects SEFO and MUO are interconnected. It is necessary to respect the separation of publicly accessible areas of compartments accessible only by employees. Architectural study includes space for exhibitions, library, multi-purpose space with facilities, vestibule usable for exhibition openings and other cultural activities, chamber music performances, as well as facilities for education, technological facilities of the building, the depositary (transport and central), photo studio restoration studio, office space, locker rooms and restrooms personnel. SEFO specific aim of capturing the diverse manifestations of visual culture of Central Europe after World War 2, the building's permanent exhibition, acquisition activity, temporary exhibitions, including larger medium-shows (eg. The biennial or triennial), discussion forums and other supporting cultural events.

The diploma thesis is focused on the business plan, which deals with catering services. The thesis is composed of two parts – theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on the structure of the business plan, necessary analyses, sources of financing, and legal forms of business. The practical part comprises of knowledge gained from specialised literature and experience in this field. The conclusion involves a comprehensive choice of one most suitable option which is completed from a wide range of possibilities in separate chapters.

Event as a possibility of commercialization of culture

This bachelor thesis studies the impact of large cultural events on the commercialisation of culture. The studied event is a Pilsen festival Živá ulice, that is organised as a part of the Plzeň 2015 project. In the beginning are defined main terms related to culture, cultural events and commercialisation. The practical part of this thesis is based on a questionnaire and its main goal is to show on the selected cultural event how large cultural projects affect the inhabitants' or the visitors' views on culture. It also studies if the title of the European City of Culture has an influence on cultural events even today.
The Municipal Library of Nový Jičín and its role in the local cultural activities developement

Thesis titled "The Municipal library of Nový Jičín and its role in the local cultural activities development" deals with issues of community libraries. The first chapter includes the definition of basic terms such as library, community, community library and community activities. In the second chapter we deal with the question, why should the libraries change into the community centers and also where they could find an inspiration to realize this goal. The next section describes the trend of the existence of libraries on the social network Facebook. The fourth chapter is more factual. It deals with extensions and activities of the Municipal cultural center of Nový Jičín, its individual parts and relationship between them. The largest part of this chapter covers the history of the Municipal library of Nový Jičín. It also deals with the nearby part of the Cultural center - the Archa teahouse and the music department of the library in Coffee Music Bar. The penultimate section describes the specific examples of cultural and educational events in library, promotion of the events, their financing and flaws. Funding options for cultural events and institutions in the town of Písek

The thesis aims to analyze the current stage of the funding options for cultural events in the town of Písek. The theoretical part comprises basic information on the Structural funds, the budget of the European Union and the budget of Czech Republic. This part features basic concepts of structural policy, regional policy and regional development, analysis of program documents and funding options of cultural events and institutions. The practical part of the bachelor thesis focuses on assessing and describing the current stage of the funding options for cultural events in this town. The last part describes three cultural institutions in terms of drawing funds from the European Union, the state and private resources. It also contains some options for the development and innovation of these three cultural institutions.
Insurance of art

The diploma thesis is focused on insurance of art. In the first part of the thesis the chapters contain areas of art which are insured in practice. The paper analyzes insurance of cultural heritage, works of art, musical instruments and cultural events. Each chapter describes the specifics of the areas and the most used kinds of insurance, including practical examples. In the last chapter of the first part I outline the situation abroad and its comparison with the Czech market. As an example, a foreign insurance company has been selected by AXA Art. The second part is devoted to insurance of Czech Philharmonic. It contains links to the orchestra, the historic building and the gallery. Funded organizations of the Ministry of Culture occupy a significant portion of the paper. In this thesis, I do not mention insurance in the film industry.
THE EVALUATION OF PRAGUE´S SIGNAL FESTIVAL´S IMPACT ON THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE TOURISM REGION

This thesis focuses on evaluation of Prague's Signal festival, organized in 2013 and 2015, and it's impact on regional development in Prague and the Czech Republic as a whole, from economic, social and cultural stand point. The theoretical part puts emphasis on explanation of tourism, specifically event tourism, and cultural events. Quantitative data analysis in practical part proves that the festival was successful in bringing in higher number of visitors of the city. The number of visitors throughout the duration of the festival was higher than during comparable time periods and that Signal festival was clearly a decisive factor for visits, which allows us to draw conclusion that the festival supports tourism in the region. Calculations presented in this thesis prove that city council's financial contribution to 2014 Signal festival indirectly contributed to national budget as well as direct economic contributions to regional budgets, due to increased spending by visitors and other economic activity. Empirical examination demonstrates festival's positive impact on region's cultural life, better perception of public spaces by residents and the sustainable development of tourism region.
