Utilization of cross-country skiing in the Educational Institute in Vrchlabí

Title: Cross-country skiing usage within the educational process at Children's Home with School Vrchlabi. Objectives: The objective of the bachelore thesis is the movie production, where I document and evaluate the specifics of cross-country skiing training and related attendance of students of Children's Home with School Vrchlabi during the Winter Olympic Games. Methods: Methods used for the purpose of this bachelor thesis were the observation and video documenting of students ski trainings and participation at Educational Institute & Children's Home with School winter games and method of conducted interview with Children's home with school Vrchlabi teachers. Results: The final videodocument from the ski camp and attendance on the WOH shows practiacally used metodics during the crosscountry ski camp. The second part presents the process of WOG, atmosphere and disciplines. Title: Comparison of Cross-Country Skiing Training in the Czech Republic and in Norway Objectives: The aim of the diploma thesis was to gain information about Norwegian nordic skiers' training and to compare it with the preparation of nordic skiers in the Czech Republic. The possibility of applying Norwegian training methods to the Czech Republic was considered with relation to local conditions. Methods: The methods of questionnaire, observation and content analysis were used in the diploma thesis. Results: The evaluation and comparison of the questionnaire data were illustrated in tables and charts. The evaluation of observations and training documentation in the Czech team Olfin Car - Vella Trutnov and the Norwegian team Holmen IF Langrenn. Nutritional strategy for long-distance cross-country skiers

Title: Nutritional strategy for long-distance cross-country skiers Objectives: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to answer as the clearest as possible the following research questions: 1. How appropriate diet affects the internal environment of the body long-distance cross-country skiers? 2. What composition of the diet and supplements is most suitable for long-distance cross-country skiers? 3. When to start eating regime that will help competitors prepare the body for the completion of remote cross-country skiing? Methods: We used the research of czech and foreign literature. We searched the scientific studies related to our theme through the service Google Scholar. We also drew from licensed Internet databases (PubMed, SPORTDiscus, Scopus, ProQuest, OvidSP, JSTOR). Results: We found that long-distance cross-country skiers should follow the macronutrients and micronutrients content in connection with food intake. The ratios of nutrients taken depends on whether it is a period before the race, during the race or after its completion. However, a key role in all three phases perform carbohydrates. Title: Compensation of muscle asymmetries in cross-country skiers Objectives: The goal was to assemble methodological material, that is focused on muscle imbalances in cross-country skiers. Which is based on review of found materials and results gained from author's bachleor's thesis. Tasks: The task was a review of Czech and foreign literature followed by explanation of terms compensation exercise and muscle imbalances. Next task was assembling of methodological material, that is focused on muscle imbalances in cross-country skiers. Methods: Method used was comparative analysis of found materials reffering to the topic of muscle imbalances in cross-country skiers. Results: On the basis of review of found literature and results gained from author's bachleor's thesis was made a methodological tool - stack of compensation exercises for cross-country skiers. Title: Turistika and Educational Trails in the Jizerské hory Objectives: The main targets of the theses are to introduce hiking, biking and cross-country skiing as the most used types of turistika kinds in the Jizerské hory Mountains PLA, to get acquainted with the Jizerské hory and educational trails located there and to explain the potential for their development in the future. Methods: To introduce hiking, biking and cross-country skiing, the following sources have been used: outdoor activities, the Jizerské hory Mountains PLA and educational trails professional literature; websites of main institutions, i. e. Czech Tourist Club, Nature and Landscape Protection Agency of the Czech Republic and further available. To create an overview of the current state of educational trails in the Jizerské hory Mountains PLA and possible alternatives for their expansion, the internet research has been carried out and the obtained information have been related to the Jizerské hory. Results: All educational trails in the Jizerské hory Mountains PLA are focused on hiking. They are realized in the form of information boards. Modern technologies using smartphones, which could eliminate the use of boards, have already been used on educational trails in other areas. They are advantageous in many points of view....
Verification of hyperoxia influence on performance in the team sprint modified for SkiErg

Title: Verification of the effects of hyperoxia on the result in a test simulating performance in a team sprint on SkiErg skiing simulator. Objectives: The work aims to verify the effect of hyperoxia on the result in a test simulating performance in a team sprint on SkiErg skiing simulator. Methods: This is a qualitative research conducted by comparing hart rate, power in watts and lactate in ten probands. Values measured after inhalation of concentrated oxygen and placebo were compared. Results: There was no positive effect from meansurements of the heart rate, power in watts and lactate after concentration of inhaled oxygen and placebo on the SkiErg simulator. Nutrition of elite cross-country skiers in summer training

Title: Nutrition of elite cross-country skiers during summer preparation. Aims: The study aims to describe the nutrition of endurance athletes competing in cross-country skiing during summer training (season). Also, to discover what is the level of their energy balance and nutrient ratio. Lastly, to find out if supplements were used during the mentioned period. Methods: The research method was a structured survey consisted of open questions focusing on a type and quantity of consumed nutrition. Furthermore, the questions were centred around physical activity detailed of a concrete type, average heart rate, distance of taken mileage, intensity and calories burned. The questionnaire was sent electronically to five men who are among the representatives of the Czech Republic in cross-country skiing. Results: Three out of five elite cross-country skiers were in a negative energy balance of which the most significant difference between energetic expenditure and intake is 1338 kcal. The most notable differences were noticed in the consumption of carbohydrates opposite to the least difference in the protein intake. The percentual average of nutrients in the diet of all five elite cross-country skiers are 46,4 % carbohydrates, 34,4 % fats, 17,4 % protein of total energy intake. Four out of five respondents...
Diagnosing of muscular imbalances in cross-country skiers using tensiomyography

Title: Diagnosing of muscular imbalances in cross-country skiers using tensiomyography Objectives: Objective of the thesis was to define hypothesis about impact of cross-country skiing on musculoskeletal system, most importantly the origin of muscular unbalance, on cross-country skiers using tensiomyograph TMG 100 and bioimpedance InBody 720. Methods: This bachelor's thesis was conducted as qualitative research. It consists of six case studies. We examined the presence of muscular imbalance of back muscles in cross country skiers. Tensiomyograph TMG 100 and bioimpendace InBody 720 were used during this examination. Results: Based on results from examination of six respondents we found out, that there could be muscular unbalance from the standpoint of lateral symmetry, mostly in m. erector spinae. Conclusion: Based on six case studies, were formulated two hypothesis that take in account possible muscular unbalance of m. erector spinae and m. trapezius inferior that could be formed by specific usage by cross-country skiers. The influence of cross-country skiing on the posture of children from the psysiotherapeutic view

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of influence of cross-country skiing on the posture of children in middle childhood. A disorder of children's deportment may causes a wrong technique of skiing and it may have a negative influences on the human musculoskeletal system or it may cause the deterioration of the primary disorder. The first aim of the thesis was to describe the influence of cross-country skiing on the posture of children. The second aim was to influence the quality of posture in probands with a targeted physiotherapy. This thesis is divided into 2 parts. The posture and it's disorders are described in the theoretical part. It is also specified the age category of the studied file and appropriate physical activity at this age, followed by a chapter on cross-country skiing and individual techniques. The practical part is processed in the form of qualitative research and includes examination of 5 probands at the age of 13 years. On the basis of the initial examination, the probands were designed with almost identical therapy, which lasted for 3 months and took place during the 8 therapeutic meetings. Subsequently, an exit examination was performed. At the end of the thesis are described the results, which are based on the practical part of the thesis. And here is the success of targeted therapy. This thesis can be used for insight of the problematics connected with children's cross- country skiing in middle childhood. Thesis could be also used as a study material for practice of physiotherapeutist, coaches of the cross-country skiing or as a educational material for special group of people dealing with the cross-country skiing.
