Design of two-axis linear measuring device for railroad axles pressing
Mlynář, Vojtěch ; Vejlupek, Josef (referee) ; Brablc, Martin (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is the design of the device capable of measuring the distance between railroad wheelset elements during pressing. The research part presents the parameters of the wheelset press and the existing solutions to the problem. Additionally, distance-measuring sensors, motor sizing methods, and sensitivity analysis methods are described. The third chapter outlines the design process, beginning with early conceptions, their analysis, and leading into the final design.
Verification of nonlinear material models
Holada, Jiří ; Kala, Jiří (referee) ; Hradil, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the verification of nonlinear materials during a dynamic test. The reinforced concrete beam is subjected to an impact load. The deterministic finite element model will be developed using several nonlinear material models. The last part describes the sensitivity analysis with MOP (Metamodel Optimal Prognosis).
Probabilistic modeling of shear strength of prestressed concrete beams: Sensitivity analysis and semi-probabilistic design methods
Novák, Lukáš ; Doležel, Jiří (referee) ; Novák, Drahomír (advisor)
Diploma thesis is focused on advanced reliability analysis of structures solved by non--linear finite element analysis. Specifically, semi--probabilistic methods for determination of design value of resistance, sensitivity analysis and surrogate model created by polynomial chaos expansion are described in the diploma thesis. Described methods are applied on prestressed reinforced concrete roof girder.
London Eye
Hušek, Martin ; Hradil, Petr (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
Performance of static analysis of the London Eye structure is the subject of this diploma thesis. First chapters of the thesis analyses overview of realized structures of the Ferris wheel. The main part of the thesis analyses the London Eye structure itself. Specifically are described response analyses, sensitivity analyses, analyses of ultimate limit state and serviceability, stress analyses, analyses of fatigue stress and lifetime analyses. The thesis describes among static analysis also a design of dynamic vibration absorbers. The results of each analysis are evaluated in the final chapters.
Business Plan
Vanžura, Leoš ; Reniers, Petr (referee) ; Kocmanová, Alena (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on creating a business plan for constructing and operating nature trails and a pension with associated activities. The pension is going to offer a comfort accommodation, a program for a bad weather, social and sport activities in an attractive tourist and nature area of the Kralický Sněžník close to popular skiing center.
Economic Efficiency and Finacial Feasibility of the Business Plan
Troanská, Eva ; Hrdlička, Michal (referee) ; Korytárová, Jana (advisor)
The work aims to determine the economic efficiency and financial feasibility of the business plan, the construction of residential housing complex using a sensitivity analysis to determine the risk that the economic efficiency of most influence. The theoretical part of this work are the basic areas relating to the evaluation of economic efficiency, cash flow, sensitivity analysis and development project. The practical part deals with a specific project CAMPUS REZIDENČNÍ AREÁL II. Showing cash flows on the project and determining the various indicators of economic efficiency. The study also prepared a sensitivity analysis for the project scenario and determine the maximum risk that may threaten the economic efficiency of the project.
Sensitivity analysis of stability problems of steel structures
Valeš, Jan ; Vičan,, Josef (referee) ; Kučerová,, Anna (referee) ; Melcher, Jindřich (referee) ; Kala, Zdeněk (advisor)
The doctoral thesis is focused on evaluation of global sensitivity analysis of load-carrying capacity of steel hot-rolled beams. These beams are subjected to lateral-torsional buckling, weak axis buckling and strong axis buckling. Very comprehensive computational models which were both geometrically and materially nonlinear were created in Ansys software using solid finite elements to calculate the load-carrying capacity. The computational models allowed modelling of random initial imperfections such as initial curvature, deviations of cross-section dimensions and steel properties. Sensitivity analysis quantified their influence on the load-carrying capacity. Simulation runs of random imperfections were generated using the Latin Hypercube Sampling method. Since the evaluation of sensitivity analysis of load-carrying capacity of all finite element models would cost an extreme amount of computer time, the thesis aimed at developing a meta-model (also known as surrogate model) based on approximation of FEM model. The approximation polynomial then facilitated the evaluation of sensitivity indices using a high number of simulation runs. At the end, the relationships between the slenderness and the first and second-order sensitivity indices are plotted in graphs. Those random input imperfections that influence the variability of load-carrying capacity the most are pointed out.
Device for measuring the centre of gravity height position of road vehicle
Kubica, Petr ; Čavoj, Ondřej (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals the with measurment of the centre of gravity height position of a road vehicle and its issues. The introduction of this thesis focuses on the determining of the position of the center of gravity and the moment of inertia of a road vehicle. The next part is about creationing of a construction plan and its verification. The thesis contains a sensitivity analysis of this device including its results. The end of the thesis informs about the executed measurment in a laboratory and about recommendations for next measurments.
Economic assessment and risk analysis of a public investment project
Kmoníček, Matěj ; Bártů, Dominik (referee) ; Hromádka, Vít (advisor)
This masters thesis focuses on the evaluation of economic efficiency and risks of public investment projects. The theoretical part of the work is focused on the definition of terms and methods of economic evaluation of public investment projects and methods of assessing their risks. The practical part deals with a case study of a specific project, in which an economic evaluation of a public investment project and a risk assessment are developed.
Economic Evaluation of Public Investment Project
Balogová, Kristina ; Vorlíčková, Petra (referee) ; Hromádka, Vít (advisor)
This thesis deals with the economic evaluation of optimalization of transport infrastructure. Aim of the thesis is to define problematics of economical evaluation of public investment projects and It’s specifics. In analytical part It describes theme of public sector, project life cycle, cost output methods and transport infrastructure evaluation.
