Truss arch structure for multi-purpose hall
Chalupa, Vojtěch ; Hron, Lukáš (referee) ; Röder, Václav (advisor)
The main objective of this bachelor’s thesis is a design of a multipurpose mobile arc hall. The arc span is 25 m. Total hall lenght is 30 m. The load-carrying construction system consists of a transversal truss beams composed of tube profiles. The variant of transversal truss beams as Vierendeel beams is further designed in this thesis. Transversal beams are supported by joint bearings. The calculation was done in the Scia Engineer 2011 software.
Lookout tower
Jedzoková, Patricie ; Pešek, Ondřej (referee) ; Balázs, Ivan (advisor)
The object of the diploma thesis is design and assessment of a steel lookout tower situated in Beskydy mountains. Two different variants were designed. The first variant is of square shaped plan and the second one is of hexagonal shaped plan. Both variants are spatial truss structures. They are shaped as hourglass. The variants were compared and the first one was chosen to be further developed. The lookout tower is 36 meters high and it is divided by floors. One floor is 3,6 meters high. The widest section is 8 meters, the narrowest section is 5 meters wide. The structure is pin-supported into concrete foundation. The concrete is class C25/30. The roof covering is made of trapezoidal sheet of class S280GD. Each steel element is made of steel of class S355.
Ice Hockey stadium
Chalupa, Vojtěch ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Barnat, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is the design of the roofing of an ice hockey stadium situated in Žďár nad Sázavou. Plan view dimensions are 55 m x 77 m. The structural height of the roof varies from 10 to 17 m. The roof itself consists of pipe truss girders with a span of 55 m, which are supported by columns on each side. The girders are suspended by a load-carrying arch with a span of 96 m and a camber of 29 m through a system of pre-stressed cables. To determine the internal forces, structural analysis software Scia Engineer was used. Individual elements were then manually designed.
Steel structure of an industrial building
Kopecký, Ladislav ; Pilgr, Milan (referee) ; Sýkora, Karel (advisor)
Industrial hall with storage outbuilding. The length of the hall is 72 meters and width of 30 meters. The main hall has a span 24 meters and the outbuilding has a span 6m. The distance between primary steel frame is 6 meters. The height of the main hall is 10.7 meters and a height of outbuilding is 13.0 metres. The roof is flat with roof slope of 3.5% the main hall and 8.75% outbuilding. The structural system of the hall's bar structure. Primary steel frame is designed as a steel frame rafter with eaves haunch. In the roof structure are designed purlins. The stability of the structure is secured by roof braces and longitudinal braces. The hall is pin-supported on the foundation pad. The hall is clad wall and roof panels PUR. Main hall is equipped with a bridge crane with capacity of 8 tons.
Steel structure of swimming pool roof
Krchnák, Martin ; Barnat, Jan (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the design and assessment of steel structure of the swimming pool roof. The supporting structure of hall has 40.00 meters span, 50.00 m length and 10.53 m height. Main construction material is steel, grade S355 and S235. There were compared 2 possible variants of the roofing, and one of them was calculated in detail. There is developed a static analysis of the main load-bearing parts of the structure, including joints and selected details. The supporting structure of roofing consists of the polygonal wrapped lattice structure made of steel circular in the transverse direction.
Administration building
Ondruš, Petr ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is design and check the steel construction of the office building in Valašské Meziříčí. Floor plan dimensions of building are 55,0 x 30,0 m. The length of building gradually increases with each floor. The building has eight floors. Overall height is 33,6 m. The building ceilings made of composite steel and concrete structure. The construction in both directions is stabilized by vertical bracings. The building adjoins a smaller building with shops. Floor plan dimensions of that building are 31,5 x 21,0 m and building height to the top of the truss girder including cladding is 17,5 m.
Business Centre
Dušek, Ivo ; Sýkora, Karel (referee) ; Pilgr, Milan (advisor)
This Master thesis was about calculation and design of supporting steel bar structure multi storey administrative building. Steel structure with rotation symmetric floor plan has sixteen storey. Maximal size of building is 100x100m. Structural design report is made by a combination of manual calculations and calculations using software RFEM by Dlubal. Structural design report includes calculations of secondary beam, primary beam, column, bracing, purin, truss girder and others part of structure with their connections. Thesis includes drawing documentation and report.
The Roofing of the Three-Aisled Sport Building
Labuda, Ondřej ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Buchta, Stanislav (advisor)
The theme of the master’s thesis is to design wooden roof structure three-aisled building in Brno. The proposal is developed up according to standards ČSN EN. The thesis solves the static effect of the wooden structure, design of parts, and materials design. Plan dimensions are 51x14m, maximal height is 11,9m. The structure is designed for ultimate limit states and serviceability. The supporting structure is designed as solid wooden arched trusses frames's connection to the wooden pole. The thesis solve also details and solution design.
The Roofing of the Sport Hall
Ondruš, Petr ; Straka, Bohumil (referee) ; Buchta, Stanislav (advisor)
The objective of bachelor‘s thesis is design and check the steel construction of the sports building with ground plan dimensions 40,0 x 60,0 m. Building is located in Olomouc. The construction system is built of a transversal arc trusses with spacing 6,0 m. The truss span is 40,0 m and camber is 9,0 m. Trusses are supported by joint bearings. Between transversal trusses are designed the purlins. The construction is stabilized by lateral and longitudal braces. Building is sheated by composite panels.
