Deinterlacing in uncompressed digital video sequences
Meňhart, Pavel ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Slanina, Martin (advisor)
Interlacing is the process of frame scanning and frame displaying being based on the even and uneven lines‘ interchanging. This framework originated along with the PAL and NTSC television standards‘ formation in the course of 1930s. The process mentioned above stopped frames displayed on older TV sets from flashing. Nevertheless, there is a disadvantage of the frame processed after this manner, consisting in its attribute to be displayed in a clean-cut way just on classical TV sets. However, plasma and LCD television appliances, projectors and computer monitors always display the entire frame all at once, therefore composing it of the both fields, yet not being acquired concurrently, differing in moving objects‘ positions, moreover their contours are doubled, frayed and unfocussed. This master´s thesis deals with fundamentals of the interlaced video signal‘s formation, problems coming about at featuring the interlaced video like this, followed by operating methods of deinterlacing itself. In conclusion, there are my own softwares presented, having been developed in MATLAB computer environment and software command language C, and implementing some of the operating methods designed for deinterlacing in uncompressed digital video sequences.
Forensic Identification of Child Faces
Klíma, Ondřej ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This thesis is focussed on children's faces comparison. Its aim is to create the application providing functions for photocomparison and ageing. Both these parts work with portrait photos of children. Photocomparison purpose is a metric expression of similarity of two portraits independently on their age. Ageing is a tool for the simulation of an individual's growing old on the photo. Principles of both functions are based on geometric morphometry methods, particulary on procrustes analysis and thin-plate spline aproximation.
Level of Detail (LOD) Algorithms in OpenSceneGraph Library
Koukolíček, Ondřej ; Kršek, Přemysl (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to explore and evaluate capabilities of the OpenSceneGraph library in the field of level of detail (LOD) algorithms. It contains introduction to the LOD issues and detailed description of techniques that are used in conjunction with this technology. Furthermore it analyses those tools available in OSG, which can be used to create an application utilizing LOD. The main part of the thesis is focused on description of design and implementation of application, which uses the LOD capabilities of OSG as well as own extension to these methods. In the conclusion, the resulting application is subjugated to a benchmark and the OpenSceneGraph librarys LOD capabilities are evaluated.
Panoramic Photo Creation
Dospiva, Filip ; Sochor, Jakub (referee) ; Behúň, Kamil (advisor)
This thesis contains a comparison of approaches to implementation of the panoramic photos. There are analyzed partial steps to create panoramas and access methods that are used for these steps. There is a preview of the methods and schedules their advantages and disadvantages. Also included is a comparison of these methods and evaluation of their usability.
Design of Hand Blender
Kalenský, Ondřej ; Buganská, Tamara (referee) ; Sládek, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with the design of ahand blender. The main problems it covers are designing with consideration to blind and old people, clear and natural control and more options for holding the device. The thesis discovers the essence of the process of blending and whisking. Based on this knowledge, the ambition behind the design of the product is to form anew shape which is in harmony with its function. The thesis is marginally focused on the theory of designing and developing anew product and it describes the practical usage of user-friendly design rules.
Combustion of a mixture of hydrogen and natural gas in the combustion chambers of boilers and gas turbines
Honzíček, Štěpán ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
Master‘s thesis specifically deals with very current topic of blending (low-emission) hydrogen and natural gas. A key view focus on combustion of a mixture hydrogen and natural gas. Preliminary part describes combustion of fuel gases in general and is followed by a technical search on construction of combustion chambers of boilers and gas turbines. It’s added information about current development and utilization of hydrogen. New projects of hydrogen combustion technologies are also introduced. Practical part shows a calculation of a gas mixture combustion balance in real conditions. It‘s extended by proposal and construction of a blending technology of hydrogen and natural gas with subsequent combustion in an uncooled combustion chamber. Concluding part includes a program for operating states calculating when the variables of introduced technology are changing.
Image Morphing and Warping
Kuběna, Petr ; Šilhavá, Jana (referee) ; Venera, Jiří (advisor)
Warping and morphing are computer effects that are mainly used in show-bussines. Thessis contains procedures and techniques that are necessary for their creation. It is aimed at work with discrete two-dimensional image. Integral part is the demo program, which allow users to create such effects.
Medical Data Rendering in Real-Time
Lengyel, Kristián ; Havel, Jiří (referee) ; Jošth, Radovan (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of an application for medical data imaging in real-time. The first part of project is focused on methods for obtaining data in medical practice and visualization of large volume data on computer using familiar rendering approaches. Similar applications are used outside of medicine in other fields, such as chemistry to display molecular structures or microorganisms. Another part of project will focus on benefits of visualization of volumetric data using programmable hardware and new methods of parallelization of algorithms on graphics card using CUDA technology, and OpenCL. The resulting application will display the volume of medical data based on selected method accelerated by programmable shaders, and time-consuming operations will be paralleled on graphics card.
Stochastic programming models with applications
103/08/1658 Pokročilá optimalizace návrhu složených betonových konstrukcí a teoretické výsledky projektu MŠMT České republiky čís. 1M06047 Centrum pro jakost a spolehlivost výroby.
A Night in the Mill
Topínková, Anita ; Havlíček, Jiří (referee) ; Zet, Martin (advisor)
Be moving, seek, hunt for sth, can´t find it so far, that is a promise of paradise, or a paradise itself. Mobility as a protest, pursuit of adventure, searching for escape, authenticity or identity.
