Strategic and financial analysis of Penam, a.s.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the financial situation of Penam, a. s. for the period from 2011 to 2015 with subsequent prognosis for the future. The thesis is divided into three parts which are methodological, practical and prognosis of the future development. The first part briefly describes the basic methods and techniques which are necessary for analysis. The second part includes the financial analysis itself, the results of which will be after compared with the competition, and the assessment of financial health or the company through bankruptcy and solvency models. The last part focuses on the strategic analysis and subsequent prognosis of sales.

Financial analysis of Moravské kovárny, a. s.

The bachelor thesis deals with financial analysis of the company Moravské kovárny, a. s. from 2010 to 2015. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate financial health and to identify risks which could cause problems in the company. The theses uses public information. The main source of information is annual report of the company for analyzed period. This thesis contains methodical and practical part. The first metodical part focuses on a definition and a subject of the financial analysis, users and describes methods as horizontal and vertical analysis, financial ratios, bankruptcy and creditworthy models. In the second practical part the company is introduced and described its core business. The main section focuses on application methods mentioned in the first methodical part. Conclusion summarizes an overall financial health and a situation of the company on the market.

Financial analysis and the forecast of the future development of the company M-SILNICE, a. s.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to perform a financial analysis and the forecast of the future development of the company M-SILNICE, a. s. based on publicky available data for the period of 2009 - 2014. The methodological part summarizes all the approaches that are then used in the analytical chapter, which contains of horizontal and vertical analysis of the financial statements, commented results of the ratio indicators, a comparison with company's competitors and industry and revaluation of the overall financial situation of the company using the bankruptcy and creditworthy models. Afterwards, on a base of the precessed financial analysis, the forecast of the future development of the company is drawn up for a year 2015.

Proposing the financial performance prediction index for decision support of the hospital management

Dissertation thesis deals with the managerial needs in the area of financial health. Managers need a tool to reveal the impending financial failure or to assess the financial quality of the organization. They link their decisions to performance, ability to pay, employee productivity, financial resources and financial risk. In the theoretical part of the thesis it is necessary to explain the non-profit sector and its connection with the hospital environment. It is also necessary to introduce models used both in the Czech Republic and abroad, which share common elements. The basic aim of this thesis is to propose a financial performance prediction index for decision support of the hospital management, the owners of hospitals and insurance companies. To achieve the basic goal, three sub-goals must be accomplished. The first goal is to divide the hospitals into healthy and unhealthy by using the multi-criteria methods. The second goal is, based on an expert approach with the support of statistical methods, the selection of indicators appropriate for the hospital environment and the third goal is to find a suitable method for the determination of weighted representation of individual indicators in the proposed index and to assemble the final form of the new financial index for the hospital environment.

Economic analysis of selected company

This diploma thesis deals with the economic analysis Velkoobchod Heva, spol. s.r.o., which operates in the office and school supplies. The thesis consists of two main parts. The first part is devoted to economic analysis on the theoretical side.
On it then follows the practical part, which includes the performance of a selected company and its two main competitors, the results and overall assessment together with recommending proposals. The practical part, which draws on publicly available sources and internal corporate data lies in analyzing the economic and financial situation of the company by external methods and internal analysis, which monitors the time period between the years 2010-2014. The results of the main indicators of financial analysis are then compared with the industry and competitors, thus it was found that the company Heva achived worse results than competing firms selected and industry. Based on the results of positive and negative factors affecting the operation of the company have been prepared SWOT matrix. In conclusion, the results are interpretedand recommendations are designed to improve the situation of the company.

The thesis deals with an analysis of the economic health of the company ELEKTROSTAV STRAKONICE Ltd. To meet the goals of the thesis several chosen financial analysis indexes will be used. These indexes will be firstly calculated and then used in the assessment of the financial and economic health of the company. The results of the financial analysis will be assessed and compared with results of other companies in the same field of business. If necessary, certain measures of improvement are suggested. The comparison serves as an illustration of what position the company holds in the market.

This bachelor thesis is focused on financial analysis of Dopravní podnik města Hradce Králové, a.s. for the period 2010 - 2014. The thesis is divided into two main parts, methodical and practical. The methodical part defines the aim of financial analysis and describes horizontal and vertical analysis, financial ratio analysis, bankruptcy models and credit scoring models. The focus of the practical part is on the company introduction and financial analysis. The results of financial ratios are compared with the results achieved by Dopravní podnik města Pardubic, a.s. Last of all the overall financial situation of the company is evaluated.

Diploma thesis deals with the Economic analysis of a company ArcelorMittal Ostrava, a. s. and evaluates its economic condition from 2010 until 2014. Thesis involves strategic analysis and financial analysis. Author describes the topic with a perspective of an external analyst and used companys annual report as his fundamental source. The strategic analysis is based on its micro and macro environment and SWOT analysis as well. The Financial analysis includes calculation of absolute, differential and ratio indicators. On top of that financial analysis contains the pyramid decomposition of the return on equity, economic value added, the bankruptcy and solvency models and comparison among other companies. Based on his research author concludes with recommendations which could lead to improvement of companys economic and market position. Most important findings are summarized and companys condition is evaluated at the end of this thesis.

This bachelor thesis focuses on financial analysis of the company MeadWestvaco (MWV) Svitavy s. r. o. in the accounting period 2008--2012. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes basic methods and definitions of financial analysis that are applied in the practical part of thesis later. The practical part starts with the introduction of the company. Next specification of financial economy in Czech paper industry are shortly outlined. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to perform financial analysis and evaluate financial health of the company MWV Svitavy s. r. o. An intercompany comparison of selected pointers (marks) of financial analysis in concern MWV in Europe is made in this thesis. Also there is comparison with average values of the paper industry in the Czech Republic. In conclusion the final ratings and recommendations for future financial management MWV Svitavy s. r. o. are stated.

The purpose of the Bachelor's Thesis "Financial analysis of ŽĎAS corporation" is to evaluate the financial situation of this company between years 2008 and 2012 using appropriate methods and indicators. Then use those data to draw conclusions about company financial management and financial health compared to sector competitors. In theoretical part method of calculation of indicators and models used will be described. And those will be subsequently used for the practical part - the financial analysis of the company. Specifically, vertical and horizontal analysis, absolute indicators, ratio indicators and bankruptcy and credibility models.
