Relationship of Teacher and Student who have become Friends on Facebook with Emphasis on Authority

Bachelor thesis aims to find out the consequences of the fact that teachers and their students have become friends on Facebook. Theoretical part of the work presents the concepts of authority, teacher-student relationship and self-presentation theory. The methodology of qualitative research is then presented. The research was based on interviews with informants. Interviews are then analysed and interpreted in the analytical part. The study shows that friendship on Facebook can have an impact on teacherstudent relationship. Sharing of informations on Facebook can even lead to termination of Facebook friendship. On the other hand, revealing background or private information of teachers helps students to see them in a different, not-so-formal light. Strategies of managing misbehavior at secondary vocational schools

The theoretical part of the thesis outlines the most important published aspects, which are involved in the development of problem behavior (misbehavior), and present different strategies, how to prevent or manage these situations. The empirical part describes all factors which can cause the problem behavior and depicts how teachers deal with such a behavior. In the research conducted at five secondary vocational schools, in nine classes, was used a method of video analysis of behavior (observation), an interview with teachers and a questionnaire for students. The research confirmed that there are many variables affecting the elimination of misbehavior - teacher's personality, her/his experiences, teaching methods, a subject, a composition and arrangement of a class, a number of students in a class. Respect, authority but also a positive attitude to a student is required in a relation between a student and a teacher. Communication between teachers and students should be clear and should have defined and adhered rules. As the fastest and the most effective strategy of managing misbehavior appears a non- verbal communication. Aggressive behaviour of pupils at Czech schools

My work is dealing with aggressive behaviour of pupils at Czech schools. After introducing significant theories of aggressivity of the 20th century, it is mainly focusing on meaning of a classroom climate as the main factor influencing the whole problem addressed above. The main emphasis is put on the teacher's authority and creating classroom rules of behaviour. In the last part, the central topic is competence of the teacher, not only in connection with the pupil's aggressive behaviour, but also its duration in the time of still higher requirements linked to the role of a teacher.

The aim of the bachelor thesis with the topic "Teacher's authority from students' points of view" was to find out information how students understand teacher's authority, if the teacher's authority is important for students, if students perceive their teachers as authority and review if the reception of authority differs for boys and girls. The thesis is divided into theoretical part and practical part. The aim of the theoretical part was summary finding relating to issues teacher's authority. The theoretical part is based on studying of vocational literary resources and their subsequent analysis, comparison and synthesis. The first part introduces definition of term authority and its typology. The second part deals with authority in educational process. The last part is focused on teacher's authority. Teacher's Authority from Students' Points of View in Second Stage of Basic Education

The main objective of this thesis, entitled "Teacher's Authority from Students' Points of View in Second Stage of Basic Education," is to discover the views of pupils on the teacher's authority and to map potential differences in the answers of students depending on their sexes and school success. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part systematically describes theoretical knowledge related to the teacher's authority. At first it defines the concept of authority as a general term, followed by a section that focuses on the teacher's authority and its crisis and connection between and the upbringing and discipline in the classroom. The second part of the thesis focuses on empirical research, where methods of the questionnaire were used.

Diagnosis of Chosen Didactic Concepts in Semantic Space of Students of Teaching and Primary School Teachers

This diploma work raises the issues and subsequently the diagnostics of preconcepts for didactic concepts of students of teaching and primary school teachers. The aim of this work was to find out to what extent the perception of some chosen didactic concepts are related comparing students of pedagogical faculty and primary school teachers. The theoretical part aims to the technical definition of the semantic differential research method and definition of the concepts involved in the research. In the practical part the data relating to chosen didactic concepts were found and processed by method of semantic differential.
