Installation of small wind power station
Puchnar, Jiří ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Křivík, Petr (advisor)
This work is focused on the power engineering of the Czech Republic, particularly the alternative and its subset, wind power. Introduction acquaints readers with the state of energy in the country. They're the facts of the historical development of energy in Czechoslovakia and its status today. Representation of particular sources which are involved in the so-called. "Big Energy", their description and production. Each of the resources used is briefly described and discussed basic advantages and disadvantages arising from the nature of the source. It is also outlined the possible development of energy and change in the application of these resources in the future. The conclusion is devoted to alternative energy sources. Strives to cover the positive and negative aspects. It also shows the effect of alternative energy sources to power grid stability. The conclusion of this chapter is devoted to draft measures to increase the use of alternative energy sources in the energy mix of the Czech Republic. The second part is devoted to experimental measurements on small wind turbine JPT-100 from Jetpro Technology, Inc. The beginning describes the basic mathematical methods for calculating wind power and wind turbine itself. The text is accompanied by illustrative graphs. Another part deals with the actual wind turbine JPT-100. There are mentioned its characteristics, complete description of measuring workplace and measurement results.
Alternative Energy Sources and Their Integration into the Concept of Smart Grids
Kopička, Marek ; Procházka, Jiří (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
This work deals mainly with electrical energy. In the first part is focused on alternative energy sources, and describes structure of consumption and production of electricity over the past few years, during which is focuses on renewable energy sources. In this context, assesses the conditions for alternative energy sources in the Czech Republic from the perspective of the legislative, as well as current status and potential of alternative energy sources and tries to predict the development of these issues. The next section describes the Smart Grids as a means to achieve these goals. There are presented the basic features of this system, its goals and challenges, a description of the integration of Smart Grids with other sources of electricity and the benefits of using Smart Grids both from the perspective of user and from the perspective of system. Other parts are focused on distributed control systems in the energy sector, its development and principle. The last part is devoted to consideration of the role of alternative energy sources and distributed generation in Smart Grids.
Alternative energy sources
Stránský, Jaroslav ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Škvařil, Jan (advisor)
In this work, I tried to summarize the current state of world energy resources that we use to convert into electrical energy. There is solved the question of compensation running short supplies of fossil fuels and reduce discharge of greenhouse gasses. I´m looking for suitable compensation in department of alternative energy sources, among which I included the power of the Sun, water, wind, geothermal energy, using heat pumps, combustion energy, nuclear energy, fuel cells and hydrogen use. About anyone of replacing sources you learn about its history, advantages and disadvantages, the principle of function energy transform devices, and compare the potential that is available in the CR and in the world.
Present and perspectives of the use of alternative energy sources
Šimíková, Barbora ; Hadrabová, Alena (advisor) ; Dvořák, Antonín (referee)
Thesis focuses on real dimensions of the global energy problem. It tries to evaluate current fossil fuel resources and other factors as their allocation and utilization. The work also aims at alternative energy sources as the possible solution of the energy problem. It presents the legislative support, current use and future perspectives of the alternative sources within the European Union and Czech Republic.
Alternative energy sources in the EU and future prospects
Žamborová, Barbara ; Vošta, Milan (advisor) ; Machytka, Daniel (referee)
The work deals with alternative sources, their general characteristics and current use in the EU. The work is also a preview of their future prospects and their impact on the EU economy and the environment.
Alternative Energy Sources with Focus on "Solar Energy Sources in Present Practice"
PECHA, Radim
The thesis deals with the problems of alternative energy sources with focus on solar energy sources in present practice. The thesis introduction explains the reasons of the changes in the global fuel-energy balance and their adverse effects, characterizes individual alternative energy sources and their practical applicability. The main focus is on exploitation of solar energy. After explaining the principle of thermonuclear reactions as the source of energy in the Sun, the thesis analyses the question of production of photovoltaic cells and a solar module. It describes the types of commonly used accumulators, charges and voltage transformers. It points out all factors, which must be taken into account when handling solar panels in practice. In the last chapter, it in particular deals with the didactic instructions for teaching the topic of alternative energy sources at elementary schools, as well as the need for introduction of the mentioned topic to teacher colleges.
Analysis of use of renewable energy sources in the Czech Republic
Vašek, Michal ; Vondrušková, Barbora (advisor) ; Horák, Jiří (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce to reader current concept of the energy mix in the Czech Republic, its development and conditions for future development. Additionally, energy policy will be analyzed focusing on renewable energy sources and later positives and negatives will be listed. Furthermore, the energy plan to the future will be compared with selected EU countries.
Grants for promoting alternative energy sources
Gábelová, Barbora ; Munzi, Tomáš (advisor) ; Vebrová, Ludmila (referee)
This work deal with the characteristics of alternative energy sources, their usage, comparing with nonrenewable energy sources and of development alternative energy sources above all by grant programs. Important part of this work is also comparing efectivnes and costs. Practical part is followed by a list of requirements and operations necessary for a succesfull and proper utilization of grants. The goal of this work is to show influence of energy production on world economic-political situation especially comparing nonrenewable and alternative sources. Accomplishment of this work I consider finding answer on question: "Is it possible to incorporate alternative energy sources into the regular energy production without grant programs?"
Exploiting of geothermal energy in ZOO in Ústí nad Labem
Knězů, Kristýna ; Dvořák, Antonín (advisor) ; Hadrabová, Alena (referee)
This thesis deals with alternative Energy sources. Firstly it describes their general properties, legislative framework and their use in the Czech Republic. In detail it describes use of geothermal energy and its exploitation in a large scale project put into practice in ZOO in Ústí nad Labem. The last part of the thesis focuses on success of the investment in economical terms.
Use of hybrid vehicles in road transport
Čermák, Peter ; Zelený, Lubomír (advisor) ; Červenka, Libor (referee)
This thesis introduces contemporary potential of the hybrid drive systems utilization in road transport outlining the basic requirements of an efficient operation of vehicles. It provides a brief description and characteristics of the main parts of hybrid powertrains including various designs. The assessment is based on the assumption of different demands imposed on vehicles of various groups with main focus on the economic aspect in present conditions with regard to other possibilities of development of the characteristics of powertrains and operating conditions.
