The Possibilities of Employment for Mentally Disabled Persons

Currently, there is a wide range of employment opportunities that can be used by people with mental disabilities. The main objective of the work is to find out what possibilities for people with mental disabilities are there on the labour market. The theoretical part contains definitions of mental disabilities, statistics, classification of people with mental disabilities, employment opportunities, employment of people with mental disabilities and legislation. An integral part of the theoretical part are the possibilities where people with mental disabilities can apply. The practical part focuses on the implementation of research. A semi-structured interview with a deliberate targeted selection of working people with mild mental disabilities was chosen for the research. The main benefit of the bachelor's thesis is to inform the public that people with mental disabilities are available on the labour market. The bachelor's thesis also serves as an overview of opportunities for people with mental disabilities in choosing a suitable job. From the survey of respondents, it was clear that people with mild mental disabilities are very well applicable in the labour market and due to the choice of employment, most of them did not face discrimination. The employment of a person with a mild mental disability satisfies and develops their personality, they often want to feel that they belong somewhere and that society accepts them. Through the employment, the respondents gain a certain position in society.
Identification of opportunities and threats for the selected company

The diploma thesis deals with opportunities and threats identification in a particular company. To detect its opportunities and threats, the company has to analyse micro and macro environment, at first. In order to analyse company's macro environment, the STEP analysis is used. The STEP analysis facilitates external factors identification and its possible effects on a company in the near future. The micro environment analysis is carried out by The Porter's model of five competitive forces in the industry, supplemented by points and comparison of the largest competitors. At the same time, An analysis of selected financial indicators is performed, which together with Porter's model of five competitive forces in the sector reveals the company's strengths and weaknesses. After processing all the information and subsequent evaluation using SWOT analysis, recommendations are proposed. These eliminate hidden threats and take advantage of the opportunities, which the agency employment market undoubtedly offers.

Abstract of the diploma thesis: The aim of the diploma thesis is to map the most common difficulties in people with Parkinson's disease in the field of personal activities of daily living and to compare the subjective perception of difficulties in activities in relation to the motor symptoms. The secondary goal is to compare the objective evaluation of motor symptoms with the subjective one. The theoretical part summarizes findings of Parkinson's disease. Subsequently, motor symptoms, which include rigidity, bradykinesia, tremor, posture and balance disorders are described. Various treatment options are also described. In the occupational therapy part, there is the influence of the symptoms of the disease on the occupational performance and the quality of life of people with Parkinson's disease. PhDr. Jan Šiška, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This thesis is focused on the employment of people with Mild mental retardation in an IT company particularly related to potential positions and job content. The aim is to identify employment opportunities for people with Mild mental retardation, to define the obstacles and to suggest possible solution for the company. The theoretical basis for the thesis is classification of mental retardation, options to involve people with Mild mental retardation in the work process and rules for employment of people with disabilities on the open labour market. There was used empirical - analytical approach, comparison and semi-structured interview. The outcome of the research is that it is impossible to hire an employee with Mild mental retardation but a practice can be organized. Employment of People with visaul disabilities in Historical Context

In my bachelor thesis I will concentrate on the evaluation of information on employment of people with the visual impairments in the 19th - 20 century, especially through the activities associations for the blind and institutes of the time. I also mentioned the historical evolution years of the 19th - 20 century, because of the blind understand the life situation and understand the reasons for the formation of blind associations, which concetrate on job placement of person with visual disabilities. Next I rate the traditional crafts, that were typical for people the with visual impairments.
Employment of persons with a health handicap

The aim of this thesis is to describe the key issues of employment of persons with disabilities as they are one of the most endangered category of employees and their protection in the scope of the legal regulation. The thesis is systematically divided into five chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of the topic. Chapter one is introductory and defines basic terminology. This chapter is subdivided into three parts. Part one analyses the historical development of the approach of the majority society to the people with disabilities and focuses primarily on the medical and social model of disability. Part two deals with the definition of the persons with disabilities as defined in the international and European law. Part three further addresses the issue of this definition in Czech law. Chapter two provides an outline of relevant international sources as well as the sources of the European Union. It mentions the main documents of International Labour Organization, United Nations, Council of Europe and also the essential documents of European Union. Chapter three examines relevant Czech legislation.
