The purpose of the thesis is to deal with a writings of Vladimir Holan as a thematic unity, where the motifs are transformed. The metamorphosis depend on a time, when they have been written in. Our used method of his writings is in a chronological order. This thesis is focused on the motif of a movement and his metamorphosis in poetry of Vladimir Holan. The aim is to penetrate the problems of the movement as a physical activity and approached the movement as a confirmation of existence on a basis of Patočka's phenomenological phylosophy. Other chapters pay attention to analysis of motifs of movement, which are recognizable in Holan's poetry. Their feature change from lightness and freedom to heaviness and limitation. Afterwards the point of this work reaches the axis: a wind - a wave - a water flowed - a bird - a cloud - a stone - a snake - a wall. Due to the better understanding of Holan's work, we make a passing comment about the motifs which are connected with notised above. These connections will able to put our thoughts about Holan's conception in order.
The Poets Charles Cros, Tristan Corbière and Jules Laforgue in the Rendition of Vladimír Holan

The work is concerned with the French artists of the cursed poets Charles Cros, Tristan Corbière and Jules Laforgue in rendition of the Czech poet and translator Vladimír Holan. The first part is dedicated to an age-long tradition of the Czech- French relations. In the second part the work deals with a literary-theoretical background of the Czech and French poetry and with the point of view of a literary criticism to the studied poets of the symbolism and the decadence and to Holan. The third part analyses the poetic universe and a concrete version of original poems. Their translation by Vladimír Holan the work examines then. Concurrently, the work judges the common constituents of the production of the chosen French poets and of Vladimír Holan. Afterwards, it assesses a doing of the translator in transposing the French poems to the Czech language environment.
Clara Janés as translator of Vladimír Holan

The aim of this thesis is the translations of the selected poems of Vladimír Holan by the spanish poet Clara Janés. The three collections: Bolest (Dolor), Ale je hudba (Pero existe la música) and Propast propasti (Abismo de abismo), that are accopmained by the selected examples of the translations and comments, present the focus of this study. To understand the manner of Janés' translations better, the thesis includes also a chapter about an unusual relationship between the two poets. For this reason, the introduction of the thesis focuses on their lives, work, period and the environment they worked in. Further, the work includes the summary of Holan's poems, that were translated by Janés and also added of the prologues, epilogues and comments. The résumé that is in spanish is also a part of the thesis.
Selected Letters of Vladimír Holan

Vladimír Holan is one of the most important Czech poets of the 20th century. However, his rich correspondence with plenty of significant people of Czech culture is out of broad the concern of literary scientists. The Holan's correspondence is the main deal of this diploma theses and for its purpose the student will collect, classify and prepare for potential edition a part of poet's correspondence. The selection of correspondence of Vladimír Holan, which is deposited in The Literary archive of The Museum of Czech literature in Prague, will be consisted of approximately ten letter-conversation threads between Vladimír Holan and the significant people of Czech cultural context mainly. The thesis will also include the study in which the student will try to interpret the change of Holan's period poetics by analysis of Holan's statements the convolute of the selected letter will contain.
The Representation of Reality in the Work Vladimír Holan

In this bachelor thesis the student will be dealing with the motivic structures in the work of Vladimír Holan, which reference to the representations of substantional objects of impassableness, reality, heaviness, darkness etc. creating the poetics of poet's pieces of work. The analysis will be performed on a typical sample from the whole period of poet's production. The work will include the critical reflection of the secondary literature concerning with the topic and the bibliography.
