Training of the stuff of Home for Children's Life for extension of focus group

My thesis is focused on training of the stuff of Home for Children's Life for extension of focus group. It is a shelter with secret address that offers services to pregnant women and mothers with babies. The intention is to extend the focus group of women and their babies - victims of domestic violence, because thanks to the secret address several women asked in this shelter for help. Social work with these women is specific. The aim of this thesis is to clarify what the stuff of Home for Children's Life need to be able to work with these women and their babies. My thesis is devided into theoretical and practical part containing five chapters in total. The theoretical part explains general domestic violence, specifics of working with women - victims of domestic violence and Home for Children's Life. The practical part contains research methodology, analysis and interpretation of primary data obtained through interviews with experts in the field of domestic violence and with the stuff of Home for Children's Life.
Criminal Law and Criminological Aspects of Domestic Violence

The topic of the thesis is "Criminal Law and Criminological Aspects of Domestic Violence". The phenomenon of domestic violence transpires through the whole society; it is a socially-wide issue which has been present for a long period of time. Initially, domestic violence was considered to be a private problem not to be intervened by the state. However, in last 30 years this attitude has changed and the interception of domestic violence gone through a significant transformation. The society started to recognize this issue as a subject of a public concern which requires also state intervention. The complexity of domestic violence requires interdisciplinary approach. The first part of the thesis provides definition and general description of domestic violence. It describes elements of domestic violence (such as privateness, recurrence, long-term, inequality of the involved parties, escalation, etc.), its kinds and forms, rules and specifics which differentiates domestic violence from other types of violent conduct. Domestic violence from the perspective of social workers

Domestic violence is a frequently mentioned concept that used to be ignored by the public for many years. More attention is paid to the issue nowadays; therefore, my thesis deals with this issue, the methodology used by domestic violence specialists and our legislation (which is finally beginning to address the problem of domestic violence and to amend the currently applicable laws). The objective of the thesis is to define domestic violence and its elements and to help the victims and show them where to find help. Finally, the thesis aims to point out incorrect and imperfect solutions to cases of domestic violence and in particular the failure to deal with the issue in a comprehensive manner at the government level.
Support options and family therapy system for families with domestic violence

The bachelor thesis " Support options and family therapy system for families with domestic violence " is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains eight chapters, in which the basic questions corresponding to this subject are answered. First, it defines domestic violence, while listing its characteristics, causes, forms, and phases. At the same time, it outlines the legal aspects. Further, it discusses the characteristics of victims of domestic violence and the possibilities to help them. It also deals with how to work with victims, which includes a security plan. The theoretical part then lists the institutions that provide assistance to victims of domestic violence. It also identifies the perpetrators of domestic violence the techniques for their recognition, their classification and a definition of how to work with a violent person. The theoretical part also includes a description of the impact of domestic violence on the family system. Domestic violence and its prevention The thesis is concerned with the problematics of domestic violence and its prevention. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the legal institutes that are provided by the Czech legislation for protection against domestic violence. The thesis is divided into six chapters each of which adresses special aspects of the problematics. The first chapter introduces the phenomenon of domestic violence. It tries to define the notion of domestic violence, describe its features and forms so that these pieces of information can be used in further parts of the thesis. Subsequently, it deals with theories that try to explain the causes of domestic violence. The second chapter is concerned general characteristics and personal traits of the perpetrator. Attention is also dedicated to gender aspects. The third chapter concentrates on general characteristics of the victim and adresses the process of victimization, i.e. the transformation of a potential victim into a real one. Legal protection of the victims of domestic violence In my thesis I focused on such a sensitive and very actual topic as domestic violence, especially from the perspective of existing legislation on protection of victims and also from the perspective of possible approaches to the possible solutions of this phenomenon. Despite the development of the legislation in recent decades the occurrence of domestic violence is still a major problem of modern society, mainly because of the fact that it usually takes place in private situations between the offender and the victim in a domestic environment "behind the closed doors" and the concerned persons are usually in close relationship. In my thesis I tried to focus on the phenomenon of domestic violence mainly from the perspective of the victims and their legal protection. I tried to define domestic violence by defining the necessary concepts, and also from the perspective of existing legislation of this phenomenon, including a description of previous development. System to help victims of domestic violence

In the submitted thesis I focus on domestic violence issues. In the theoretical part, I outline these issues based on a bibliographic research; I specify a basic classification of domestic violence, its development, and the current situation in the Czech Republic. Further, I deal with an analysis of the victim and offender personalities and present a valid legislative framework. Last but not least, I present a list of selected organisations providing support for the persons at risk of domestic violence and principles of their work with such victims. In the empirical part I focus on an analysis of the methods of work and cooperation among selected supporting organisations and this based on interviews with their representatives. After reviewing all the obtained information, I present a proposal aimed at an improvement of the work with domestic violence victims. At the same time, I propose a task that is to be developed as a project by secondary school students within primary prevention; the project is aimed at familiarization of students with the correct and adequate procedures applied by workers from the organisations providing support for domestic violence victims.

Criminal aspects of domestic violence SUMMARY Domestic violence is a serious social concern with high level of latency. The domestic violence victims protection is ensured by legal standarts of Civil, Administrative and Criminal Law and other legal standarts. Criminal Law is one of the important instruments for tackling of serious forms of domestic violence. However Criminal Law is an instrument "ultima ratio" which needs claiming of subsidiarity principal of the crime repression. The purpose of my thesis is to bring a summary of the legal standarts of Criminal Substantive Law and Criminal Procedure, that are dedicated to protect the victims of domestic violence. It also provides the brief analyses of the legal standards with respect to this serious phenomenon. The emphasis is put particularly on the criminal offences maltreatment of a person living in common domestic matters, maltreatment of a person in a guardianship and stalking. From procedural point of view the thesis addresses the issue of the consent of the victim to the criminal prosecution, institute of detention and the status of victims in criminal proceedings. Domestic Violence from the perspective of criminal law

v angličtině The first few chapters of the rigorous discuss the definition, types and theories of domestic violence. I explore potential gender-specific aspects of domestic violence, with a separate chapter devoted to victims of domestic violence. Building on the introductory chapters I proceed to analyze criminal offences related to domestic violence, including related verdicts. In the procedural area I focus in particular on custody, victims' property rights, and the payment of damages to the plaintiff. This section is closed off by a discussion of police and civil interventions in cases of domestic violence. The final part of the dissertation analyzes domestic violence in the context of international law, providing a comparison with the legal order of the Slovak Republic.
