Cavitating flow in converging-diverging nozzle
Hlaváček, David ; Štefan, David (referee) ; Rudolf, Pavel (advisor)
The master´s thesis deals with the flow induced by rotation of cavitating fluid in converging-diverging nozzle, which simulates the vortex rope in impeller of water turbines. Measurement is performed on an experimental circuit in laboratory. Results from experimental measurements are compared with CFD simulation of single and two-phase flow. The main focus is to compare the difference of hydraulic losses and shapes of cavitating structures identified in the experiment and in the simulation.
Biological terrorism in the context of the current global situation
TRSKOVÁ, Veronika
The diploma thesis deals with bioterrorism and current Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of the work is to analyse information and knowledge concerning bioterrorism and to analyse the level of concerns of civilians over transmission of Covid-19 in the South Bohemian Region. The work is divided into two parts. In the first theoretical part the history of biological weapons in wars and for terrorist purposes is described there. Furthermore, I am going to introduce different forms of biological weapons, for example terms such as biological warfare or biological crime. I am then going to divide b-agents, introduce bacteria, virus, fungi and their types. The general division of b-agents is followed by the description of transmission of biological agents and of the way they enter the body. Finally, we are going to focus on decontamination, combat order and model action activity of IRS units during joint intervention. The second and theoretical part defines methods and goals of the research and the results that are graphically depicted to be well arranged. The results are then described in the discussion. The main aim of the work was to analyse information and knowledge concerning bioterrorism and to analyse the level of corners of civilians from transmission of Covid-19 in the South Bohemian Region. To confirm or to disprove a given hypothesis was another part of the goal. The hypothesis reads as follows: University graduates will have statistically much higher knowledge concerning given issues than people who have not completed higher education. A questionnaire construction was used to gain the data. 212 respondents took part in the questionnaire construction. The research confirmed the hypothesis that university graduates would have statistically much higher knowledge concerning given issues than people who have not completed higher education. A measure that could deepen the knowledge in this area was offered at the end of the thesis.
Rabies monitoring in the Czech republic
MAROUSKOVÁ, Pavlína
Rabies is a serious viral disease affecting the nervous system. Rabies has not been present in the Czech Republic since 2002, but monitoring is still ongoing. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to evaluate the monitoring of rabies in our territory, the number of people bitten by a dog and to assess people's awareness of this disease through a questionnaire survey. In the monitored period 2004-2019, a total of 88,943 animals were examined for rabies. The most frequently examined species was the common fox (90 %). The smallest share (0,3 %) was formed by bats. A survey of the number of people bitten by a dog revealed that in the observed period 2010-2018, more than one million people in our territory were bitten by a dog. In total, 231 respondents took part in the questionnaire survey. Most of them (79 %) knew what rabies was, what the typical clinical symptoms were (90 %) and also that the main routes of infection were biting (99 %) or scratching (97 %) by a sick animal. Although people seem to be sufficiently aware of rabies, there is a need to raise awareness about this dangerous disease.
Knowledge of Pupils Secondary School in the Area of Selected Zoonoses
Svobodová, Barbora ; Pavlasová, Lenka (advisor) ; Říhová, Dagmar (referee)
The subject of the dissertation deals with the secondary school pupil's awareness of zoonoses. Zoonoses are the diseases transmited from animals to human beings. Those are one of the topics of biology study currently. The main aim of the dissertation is theoretical definition of the matter in the first place. For knowledge testing have been chosen these four illness: Toxoplasmosis, Lyme boreliossis, Rabies and Creuzfeldt-Jakobo disease. With these chosen illness the main research goal is to provide a comprehensive collection of information about the details such as disease transfer, spread of the disease, disease development, cure and avoidance. The research part of the dissertation tries to find out the extent of knowledge about the chosen kinds of zoonoses among the pupils at specialized secondary schools. As a tool of quantitative research has been used a pupil's didactic test. As based on the evaluated results we may say that the pupil's knowledge at explored schools is relatively satisfactory.
The image of jungle in the novels The Vortex by José Eustasio Rivera and Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad
Schürgerová, Johana ; Poláková, Dora (advisor) ; Housková, Anna (referee)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis was to focus on the image of the rainforest in the roman The Vortex (La vorágine) by Jose Eustasio Rivera and then to compare it with the african jungle where is set the novelle Heart of Darkness by Johseph Conrad. The object of exploring were the effects of the environment on the characters, too. We observed changes in their behaviour and of their actions in the wilderness. In the end, we have shown the historical events that went down in history as gross abuses of human rights and, subsequently, we analyzed the motives of exploitation of both man and nature in both works.
The Present-Day State of the Local Dialect in the Speech of the Old Generation in the Village of Vír
Ostrýžová, Martina ; Dittmann, Robert (advisor) ; Martínek, František (referee)
The M.A. thesis explores the dialect of the village Vír, which is situated in Czech-Moravian boundary dialectal area. The exploration focuses on selected features from phonetics and phonology and morphology, specified on the basis of isoglosses described in the Český jazykový atlas (Czech Dialect Atlas) or in older publications. The research of features followed is based on interviews with old generation informants, which is delimited in accordance with the Czech Dialect Atlas as speakers older than 65. The audiorecordings were further processed, the material was transcribed according to standard rules for dialectological transcription. A comparison with standard works of Czech dialectology (such as Běličʼs Nástin české dialektologie, Český jazykový atlas, Utěšenýʼs Nářečí přechodného pásu česko-moravského. Hláskosloví) shows that the oldest generation speakers in Vír still keep some of the typical traits of the Czech-Moravian dialectal group while other such features are retreating. Key words: Czech-Moravian dialectal group, old generation, local dialect, Vír

The topic of this diploma thesis is research of transformation of the cultural landscape in two selected cadastral areas in microregion Bystřicko. It is about cadastral area of Rovečné and Vír. In this diploma thesis was used method of literature research, comparative method, survey investigation, cartographic investigation, semi-standardized interviews and SWOT analysis. At first is created detailed characteristics of model areas and cartographic investigation. The results of the survey and semi-standardized interviews are described and then is elaborated a SWOT analysis and its comparison and then the results of comparison of model areas. At the end are solved the results. Changes in the acreage are mention of the last 174 years. In Vír are these changes chiefly on arable land, forests and water areas. At Rovečné these changes are not so significant, but again they are mainly on arable land, forest soil and permanent grasslands. My hypothesis has been confirmed.
Malware and comparison of antivirus products
Hamouzová, Aneta ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Novotný, Jakub (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of possible danger in the Internet environment, namely malicious software. It is a variety of computer viruses, worms and Trojans that are comprehensively called malware. This risk should be closely monitored because its development is constantly moving forward and everyone should be familiar with this topic. The theoretical part includes the characteristics of malware - clarification of the concept and definition. The following part is history, which is described from initial ideas, the first malicious code in the 70's, and other well-known programs. It is led to the present day which is mainly focused on today's goals and direction of development of further malware. Next part involves the distribution of malware to basic, other special types and other such related forms. The final part describes the preventive and protective measures, and how to reveal and what to do if computer is infected. On this last section follows up a practical part, in which is analyzed antivirus protection, which is available in Czech and world market. Based on this analysis is done comparison of selected free antivirus programs. These are compared according to established criteria, such as web pages, installation, the use, user settings, appearance and ability to detect malware. The goal is to determine the safest and most comfortable user program. The result is used for ordinary users as possible support when they are choosing antivirus to their own computer.
