The first part is devoted to the search retrieval of solid fuels currently used. Their properties, composition, important technical characteristics and parameters and also their environmental impact are described and explained in this part. The second part contains a brief description and distribution of solid fuel boilers for house heating, comparision of varios types of boilers and an overview of the market for solid fuel boilers in the Czech Republic. The last part of this thesis focuses on calculating and comparing the costs of each type of boiler for the selected reference house.
Modern Technologies for Family House Heating
Vidlák, David ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to outline the basic knowledge of modern heating methods of family houses. The first part of this thesis describes the history of heating and gives a basic information about heating systems. The second part is dealing with the most frequently used heating systems. The last part of the thesis evaluates the way of heating a particular family house and suggests the possibility of using different heating methods.
Horizontal worm conveyor for transport of pit cole
Průša, Ondřej ; Malášek, Jiří (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of thesis is to design and process design proposal worm conveyor for transport of small coal. The work addresses in particular the calculation of the main dimensions of conveyors, conveyor drive option, due to possible congestion. It is also attention to the choice of bearings and couplings. The conveyor are inspected strength critical points on the shaft (per deformation, indentations), and place it to the worm shaft and connecting pins. In the last part is given to the operation of the entire facility and its smooth operation.
Modern Trends of Heating of Family House
Sedláček, Daniel ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of my thesis was to summarize information about the current possibilities of heating houses focused primarily on efficient, clean and renewable energy sources, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of each system and then compare the selected methods of heating a model house.
Solid Fuel Boilers
Skočík, Lukáš ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This thesis is engaged in heating of the family house by solid fuel boilers, both fossil fuels and the modern forms of biomass. The first section describes and explains the properties, composition and important characteristic quantities of these fuels. It also discusses the classification, description and processing options of solid fossil fuels and biomass. Then they are briefly described the principles of combustion boilers for these fuels along with their properties, advantages and disadvantages. The last section focuses on the selection of a suitable boiler fuel for the selected reference house.
Hydrogen fuels
Tyagunova, Victoria ; Bébar, Ladislav (referee) ; Jícha, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis presents a basic review of production and use of hydrogen fuels. The main focus of this paper is the use of hydrogen in industry and power engineering. The first part concerns various industrial production technologies. The next section is dedicated to the description of hydrogen use for energy conservation, fuel cells, power plants and combustion engines. it includes the comparison of hydrogen and classic fuels. The final part focuses on the economy and costs of hydrogen production and use. This paper will evaluate hydrogen as a potencial fuel for future and will estimate it’s advantages and disadvantages in comparison with conventional fuels.
Fosil Fuels in Czech Repiblic
Němec, Radim ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on creating an overview of fossil fuels, as well as their distribution, emergence, properties and uses. In the thesis is also mapped out mining, import and export of fossil fuels in the Czech Republic.
THE USE OF SINTERED ARTIFICIAL AGGREGATES PRODUCED FROM SOLID ENERGETIC WASTE FOR CONCRETE.
Batelka, Michal ; Stehlík, Michal (referee) ; Kolář,, Karel (referee) ; Cigánek,, Jindřich (referee) ; Adámek, Jiří (advisor)
This work deals with issues aimed at the possibility of treating the material which has not been used yet – coal tailings. The work includes among others the production, its optimalization and utilization of a new type of lightweight artificial aggregate in the process of production of concrete. The possibility of manufactured the artificial aggregate is dealt with the principle of self-burning of the raw material's batch at the agglomerative grate. The optimalization of the burning process was performed both with the homogenous and the layered batch. Further part of the work focuses on the fabrication of diverse types of concrete and determination of their parametres. This section is significantly extended with the comparison of basic physical and specific properities of the new type of concrete with those of the commonly produced types. The last part of presented work deals with the ecological - economic situation of these issues. The proposed solution points to the possibility of utilization of the coal tailings which are put to the tailings heaps. It was managed to optimize the burning process and to find the most convenient system for storing the raw material's batch at the agglomerative grate. Next, it was proved that the types of concrete produced with a new sort of aggregate are also suitable for fabricating the construction concrete with the strength above the border of 50 MPa, which are applicable even in harder conditions. These sorts of concrete also have a lower volume weight and very good bending properties. The major finding, which underlines the contribution of this work, is that the up to now unused material is suitable for fabrication of relatively high-quality and thermally stable aggregate of strength on the border of 5 MPa, which can be use for fabricating concrete with very good results even in this field. Another great contribution of this work can surely be the fact, that a preliminary economic balance of the manufacturing pr
Actual State and Potential of Renewable Sources Utilization in the EU
Kubín, David ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis named Actual State and potential of renewable sources utilization in the EU offers a detailed summary of the current and future utilization of renewable resources in each member state of the European Union. The opening chapters briefly introduce the term renewable resources and the legislation relating to this issue. The following chapter is devoted to a detailed background research of actual renewable energy utilization in all twenty seven member states of the European Union. The countries are ranked by their dates of accession to the Union in ascending order, in each chapter alphabetically. All information and data are obtained from reliable sources such as annual energy reports of ministries or institutions which are concerned with energy issues. This chapter contains a great amount of charts and tables taken from annual reports and which are revised for the needs of this thesis. The chapter named Potential of renewable energy utilization in the EU offers an insight into the assumed future utilization of renewable resources up to the year 2020. This chapter draws from so-called National renewable energy action plans (NREAP) in which each member state presents its plan leading to higher renewable sources utilization in the near future. The reader is therefore able to familiarize with plans concerning renewable sources in each member state. The chapter named Complex evaluation familiarizes with some pros and cons concerning renewable sources and their utilization. Further the author presents his point of view on renewable sources and some recommendation leading to a better integration of renewable sources into energetics.
