Position of adjectives in Spanish and French - developmental trends

The Abstract The name of the dissertation: The position of adjectives in Spanish and French - increasing tendency The keywords: adjective, Spanish, French, a position of adjectives, anteposition, postposition, increasing tendency. The dissertation named The position of adjectives in Spanish and French French - increasing tendency deals with issues of position of adjectives in French and Spanish language. The main topic of this dissertation is tendency to anteposition for these two languages. It's split to several parts which are separated by themes. At the beginning, we are focusing on adjectives in general and to its basic properties as a part of speech. After, we will get to know an adjective from semantic and syntactic aspect, which is underlying exactly for the position of adjective. In the end of the theoretical part we will also focus on increasing tendency in this area. The practical part will be about corpus and questionnaire research which is intended for native speakers. The aim of this dissertation is confirm or disprove a hypothesis of common tendency to anteposition for French and Spanish adjectives.
Names of Animals in Spanish Phraseology and Idiomatics with Regard to Czech Language

1 Abstract The topic of this thesis is Czech and Spanish phrasemes containing denominations of animals or parts of their bodies. Theoretical part of this thesis deals with delimitation of the concepts of phraseme, idiom etc., it describes the various attitudes to these issues in the Czech and Spanish field. The practical part, which is based on the theoretical premises, focuses on analysis of idiomatic expressions enlisted in a vocabulary attached to the thesis. The practical part further examines the vocabulary from different points of view, focuses on the extent of equivalency among individual idioms, frequency of use in particular languages, affiliation with the specific zoological categories and etymology of selected phrases. The target of this thesis is to identify both the differences and the similarities among the idioms.
Characteristics and use of student slang in Spain and Hispanic America

The thesis is focused on a student slang in Spain and Hispanic America. In the theoretical part we describe standard and non-standard language focusing attention on slang. We describe the student slang especially from a lexicological point of view, so we present the most frequent processes of word formation and also some examples of vocabulary. Then we mention some specifics of slang in Hispanic America. In the practical part we present a research that shows some examples of vocabulary of real spanish students. On the basis of theirs answers we determine conclusions (processes of word formation of slang expressions, differences between Hispanic America and Spain etc.). Linguistic variation in the Spanish of Cuba

Variation in Cuban Spanish Abstract The aim of this thesis is to deal with the topic of variation in Cuban Spanish, with a special emphasis on the Havana variety, one of the most innovative and recognizable within the island's linguistic landscape. The work is divided into three sections: phonetics and phonology, lexis and semantics, morphology and syntax. The cases described are illustrated with entries taken from a lexico- graphical work of personal authorship, or likewise with usage examples mainly taken from the Reference Corpus of Contemporary Spanish (CREA). On the basis of the analysis of the collected data, this paper examines the state of variability and balance inherent to the system, in order to deepen in the understanding of the mechanisms that shape this language variety. Periphrastic Verbal Forms and their Czech Equivalents in Texts of European Union Law.

This Bachelor Thesis is focused on the frequency of infinitive verbal periphrases that are inherent in authentic texts of the European Union law. The aim of the Thesis is to provide an overview of the occurrence of verbal periphrases and to introduce different options of their translation in legal documents. The introductory chapters examine the definition of verbal periphrases and characterize them. They also present various authors and their methods for the identification of verbal periphrases and describe their classification. The practical part analyses concrete texts of the European Union law which are included in the eur-lex database. It assesses the occurrence of this phraseology in selected legislation and case-law documents and it makes comparisons of the representation and translation of the periphrases found. The observations are summarised in graphs and tables that provide a picture of the frequency of each group of verbal periphrases {--} modal and aspectual and their comparisons are also provided.
Dialog interaction in a foreign school-teaching (in this case in the Spanish language)

The objective of this thesis is to bring awareness to the importance of dialog interaction in a foreign school-teaching (in this case in the Spanish language) as the fifth linguistic communicative attribution, as well as to point out its means of systematic development. The author emanates from studies of didactic publications - from the memoirs of Radomir Chodera and Lumir Ries Foreign Languages Schooling at the Beginning of the New Century and the United European Network for Linguistics in particular. The author bases her work mainly on Chodera's and Riese's fundamentals of foreign language teaching, which in recent years rank among the most popular methods of foreign language tutorials, and which she elaborates further. The practical part suggests activities for the language levels A1, A2, B1, which purpose is to expand communicative acquirements focusing mainly on dialog. Activities are completed with complementary material that can be found in appendices.
