Toolbox for the cooperation of MATLAB and external simulation programs
Moravec, Petr ; Sekanina, Lukáš (referee) ; Oliva, Lukáš (advisor)
In this Master's thesis scripting interface of two programs CST Microwave studio and Ansoft HFSS for the purpose of analysis of electromagnetic structures is described. The work is focuses control of these programs with help of scripting languages and system's interface of MS Windows XP. Next the process of connecting programs with MATLAB is shown on commented scripts together with an example of complete analysis of a chosen problem, and the import and export of results results in MATLAB. Further the functions which form programming interface between MATLAB and simulation programs are designed and implemented. The interconnection layer makes the complete control of simulating programs possible using the function description published in the official documentation of used simulation programs. The layer is described in reference manual in detail and it is used for optimization with use of Particle swarm optimalization (PSO) of planar antenna model. Then there is presented another usage of the layer for an implementation of global optimization methods - SOMA and DE including suggestion of process for comparison efficiency of optimization algorithms on simple electromagnetic models.
Creation of GUI for optimization of electrical machines
Bártková, Tereza ; Klíma, Petr (referee) ; Knebl, Ladislav (advisor)
This work follows the development process of graphical user interface (GUI) spanning from choosing the right tools for implementation to the implementation itself. The purpose of the work was making the optimization program user-friendly by creating a communication layer between the optimization algorithm and the user and demonstrating its functions. First of all, the study of various programming languages and their toolkits regarding GUI programming was undertaken. Python was chosen because the original program is written in it, also software development in Python is probably the quickest one. Furthermore there are analyzed characteristics of this language and PyQt, which is a tool meant for GUI creation. The third chapter introduces very thoroughly the issues of electrical machines and their optimization. Introduction of these issues is followed by brief description of two optimization methods being used in electrical machines optimization. Following chapter introduces the actual machine under the optimization study, on which the final program was tested. Afterwards follows detailed description of application layout created in Qt Designer. New program structure enriched with graphical user interface is described and its functions are shown. Finally there is a guideline on how to use this program and the optimization is executed accordingly. Also, the results of the optimization are analyzed.
Optimization Of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Using Evolutionary Optimization Algorithm
Knebl, Ladislav
The development of the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor has drawn a big interest over the last decade. This is due to the use of this kind of machine in the automotive industry, thanks to the machine high efficiency and high overload capability compare to other machine types. Using artificial intelligence or evolutionary optimization algorithms is possible to optimize the motor with maximum efficiency, lowest torque ripple and highest average torque, because a huge ammount and variety of geometry combinations are tested. This paper is focused on the overview of generally used optimization algorithms and optimization is demonstrated on Self-Organizing Migrating Algorithm (SOMA). Cost function and weight coefficients are also presented and used for optimization.
Parallel genetic algorithm
Trupl, Jan ; Kobliha, Miloš (referee) ; Jaroš, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis describes design and implementation of various evolutionary algorithms, which were enhanced to use the advantages of parallelism on the multiprocessor systems along with ability to run the computation on different machines in a computer network. The purpose of these algorithms is to find the global extreme of function of $n$ variables. In the thesis, there are demonstrated various optimization problems, and their effective solution with the help of evolutionary algorithms. There are also described interface libraries MPI(Message Passing Interface) and OpenMP, in the extent needed to understand the problematic of parallel evolutionary algorithms.
Rotor Slot Optimization of an Induction Motor
Szekeres, Vojtech
Proposed paper is dealing with optimization of an induction machine rotor slot by using artificial intelligence. Electrical machine under investigation is commonly manufactured induction motor with simple deep rotor bars. Goal is to achieve the highest possible value of efficiency and power factor. This paper is dealing with description of rotor parametric model and set-up of the optimization algorithm. Results of optimization are proposed as well.
Aplikace evolučního algoritmu na optimalizační úlohu vibračního generátoru
Nguyen, Manh Thanh ; Kovář, Jiří (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis will deal with the use of artificial intelligence methods for solving optimization problems with multiple variables. A theorethical part presents problems of global optimization and overview of solution methods. For practical reasons, special attention is paid to evolutionary algorithms. The subject of optimization itself is energy harvester based on a piezoelectric effect. Its nature and modeling is devoted to one chapter. A part of the thesis is the implementation of the SOMA algorithm for finding the optimal parameters of the generator for maximum performance.
Financial analysis of the company SOMA, spol. s r. o.
Mikulová, Markéta ; Dufková, Eva (advisor) ; Pham, Hoang Long (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to perform the financial analysis of the company SOMA, spol. s r. o. from an external user for the years 2009 to 2014, assess the financial situation of the company and compare it with other companies in the sector, which are JHV-ENGINEERING, s. r. o., KOMFI, spol. s r. o. and LUX, spol. s r. o. This thesis includes methodical part, where are defined chosen indicators of the financial analysis. The analytical part includes the description of the chosen companies and the financial analysis according to the methodical part including intercompany comparisons. At the end there is an overall assessment of the results and summaries.
Generator for aircraft application HUMS
Zelda, Jan ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
Presented diploma thesis deals with development of the autonomous electric energy source for Health and Usage Monitoring Systems placed at the rear part of a helicopter. Firstly, the HUMS systems were described briefly and the research of available energy sources was made after that. After that, the magnetic properties of the materials were described with the special focus on the permanent magnets. The draft also includes the creation of model of the magnetic field using the final element method. Prototype was assembled and the other design solutions were evaluated. The evaluation of various designs passed in the use of SOMA optimization algorithms. The generator is followed by the draft of the electronics, which streamlines and regulates a voltage supplied by the generator. At the end of the thesis, the complete source prototype was assembled and tested with two different regulators
Philosophy of Sport
MAREŠ, Lukáš
This bachelor thesis is concerned with physical activities in ancient Greece, specifically in time of philosophers Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. Emphasis is put on presenting a broad historical framework, especially because physical activities were closely connected with other areas of human life, namely with religious cult and philosophical questioning. It is the relationship between sport and philosophy which has the major attention. The main task of this thesis consists in presenting physical activities as the important part of the competitive culture in ancient Greece. Described, explained, and compared are fundamental principles and ideals of ancient Greek sport. Special attention is given to its role in educational process. In this sense, physical activities are presented as a suitable instrument for both physical and mental formation of man. Through bodily exercises, individuals were able to achieve higher dimensions of reality, acquire certain virtues, and consequently realize their own potential. Because of these and many other reasons, physical activities in ancient Greece can be a valuable source of inspiration also for people of today. This thesis tries to present them exactly in this way.
