New building boarding house with restaurant
Zelman, Martin ; Krupica, Roman (referee) ; Jelínek, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the elaboration of the project documentation of a guesthouse with a restaurant located in Deštné in the Orlické Mountains. The thesis contains three parts. The first part deals with the architectural and structural design of a detached three-storey building. The first floor houses the restaurant, an entrance area for the guesthouse, and technical facilities of the building. The second and third floors are intended for accommodation and recreation of guests. The structural system is designed as a transverse wall with a longitudinal stiffening wall. The second part deals with the technology of the building environment. A wood pellet boiler is designed as the energy source for heating and hot water. A VRV system is used for space cooling. Photovoltaic panels are placed on the roof to generate electricity. The captured rainwater will be used to flush the toilets. The ventilation of the individual rooms is provided mainly by forced ventilation. The third part consists of the development of an energy study, where different combinations of the considered options are proposed, especially within the changing heat sources. For the development of different options, I use the same proposed reference building. The output of this part is an evaluation and comparison of the individual options with each other. Furthermore, selecting and incorporating the best option into the previous parts of the thesis in terms of primary energy from non-renewable heat sources and indicative operating costs.
The application of renewable energy in buildings
Panovec, Jan ; Formánek, Marian (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to understand the functioning of heating and cooling systems in an administrative building built in passive standard using a renewable energy source. The thesis includes theoretical findings of heat pumps and designing the heating systems. The experimental part contains an analysis of working of heating and cooling systems in selected rooms in assigned building, which includes an experimental measurement of selected quantities and a thermographic measurement. In the last part of the thesis a comparison of measured and simulated values using simulation software was done.
Fuel Properties: Proximate Analysis of Solid Fuels
Kučera, Ondřej ; Elbl, Patrik (referee) ; Musilová, Petra (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the use of biomass as an alternative energy source and proximate analysis of solid fuels. In the theoretical part there is a research on energy utilization of biomass and a proximate analysis of solid fuels. Individual methods of determination of proximate analysis are described in detail, namely determination of water, ash and volatile combustible content and determination of gross calorific value. The practical part presents results of analysis of selected locally available plant biofuels. The methods of proximate fuel analysis have been successfully applied.
Evaluation of possibilities for voltage control in a LV distribution network
Bolgár, Robert ; Drápela, Jiří (referee) ; Topolánek, David (advisor)
This paper deals with possible ways of voltage regulation. Theoretical part includes a search of published methods and the available voltage regulators. Acquired theoretical knowledge has been applied in the development of mathematical models of two selected controllers applied to the testing network. The result of this work is a summary of the outcomes of dynamic simulations with two selected regulators at various locations in testing network. Comparing the results of dynamic simulation for two selected states was chosen the most appropriate regulator and its optimal location in testing network.
Design of domestic energy supply system using renewable energy sources
Gaborčík, Michal ; Pavelka, Tomáš (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of utilization of renewable energy sources for domestic power supply. In theoretical part is created research about available technologies using solar collectors, photovoltaic systems and heat pumps. In practical part there are calculated expected values of energy needed for heating of family house, domestic hot water heating and electrical consumption of appliances. These values are bases for system design using air to water heat pump for heating and domestic hot water heating. As far as photovoltaic system is concerned there is comparative design of systems using polycrystalline and thin-layer technology. At the end both designed systems are evaluated from technical and economical points of view.
Heating using renewable energy sources
Fornůsek, Patrik ; Počinková, Marcela (referee) ; Horák, Petr (advisor)
My diploma thesis deals with heating with the aid of renewable energy sources and thier application in the building of elementary school. This thesis is devided into three parts. The first part is theoretical and is focused on overview of renewable energy sources. It deals with biomass boilers and heat pumps in detail. The second part of this thesis contains comparison of two variants of heat sources and necessary calculations and designs. The first variant is an air-to-water heat pump and the second one is a pellet boiler. The chosen variant is elaborated in detail in the last part. The last part contains technical drawings and technical report.
Predicting Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Local Distribution Network
Holcner, Oldřich ; Ing. Jan Zich, Ph.D., MBA (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis Predicting Use of Renewable Energy Sources in Local Distribution Network is to design a predictive model of consumption and production of photovoltaic power plants and verify these models with measured data. First, general theoretical and methodological points are outlined, acquainting readers especially with renewable energy sources and various methods of electricity storage. Then, the prediction models follows and their verification with real data sums everything up.
Business Plan for Company Development: Analysis of the return of investment into photovoltaic electric power generation
Vodičková, Tatjana ; Hošáková, Iva (referee) ; Němeček, Petr (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is a business plan for a photovoltaic power plant installation on the roof of one of the storage facilities owned by the company, the assessment of the return of the project realized in 2009 as compared to 2008, and the changes that have an impact on this project. On this basis, I will determine whether the investment in this area is still profitable
Information and communication technologies in energetics
Stavinoha, Jakub ; Škoda, Jan (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the information and communication technologies used in the energetic. Problematic areas in energetic which are regulation, metering, control of waste minimalizations, expense and maximalization of earnings. These aspects lead to implementing expert systems, which have to process this bulk of information necessary for increasing efficiency and economization of single processes. Systems used in practice have their own hierarchical structure, where every application requires specific access of selection of used components that suit to the application. First of all it is about acceptable device selection in single level of the system: metering and regulation, data acquisition out of the process and informative layer. Suitable choice flowing from previous, already settled up application is possible to reach maximum efficiency of the whole system. In the thesis there are introduced systems used in practice and possibilities of increase the effectiveness of generation, transmission and distribution with ICT usage in distributed power generation. We are mainly talking about upgrade processes joined with power generation of energy, diagnostics, isolation states on the power line and usage of expert systems for distribution.
Possibility of using alternative decentralized energy sources
Pitron, Jiří ; Pěcha, Jiří (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
The thesis concerns of the possibility by using alternative decentralized sources of energy. The first chapter describes current energy situation in the Czech Republic and consideration of future electrical energy consumption and the coverage by the renewable sources. Another part of this chapter describes each types of renewable energy with their advantages and disadvantages related to the Czech Republic. In the second chapter are introduced inputs which are appropriate for the plan of energetic system. The following theoretical chapter deals with each types of alternative energy sources using renewable source including the possibility of the installation and plan for the building. These alternative sources are sorted out by the way of using renewable sources of energy. The theoretical-practical fourth chapter concerns of the heating by the heat pump. For the detailed description was chosen the heat pump which is currently denote as appropriate alternative source of heat in household. With appropriate plan, which the thesis deals with, is this alternative source considered as proper investment. In the last chapter was assembled programme for creating models of energetic flux and calculation for the plan of heating by the heating pump air/water. This model is taken for concrete buildings related to exact outdoor temperature from previous years in concrete locality. In the end was realized validation of the software with the real measurement in concrete building.
