Fučíková, Jarmila ; Pech, Zbyněk (referee) ; Kopáčik, Gabriel (advisor)
First of all, the work should point out the possibilities of activating the non-functioning post-industrial area. The aim is to remove the “wedge” into the center and to bring missing urban activities to the site. For this purpose, I suggest the completion of a city blocks with a housing function, a square with a food market, a city park, and a connection to the surrounding of industrial buildings. The aim is to integrate the site into the city through the completion and rehabilitation of industrial houses. The great creative challenge is to preserve the genius loci of this post-industrial landscape.

The aim of this thesis is to summarize the theoretical work in the field, current research of foreign and Czech audiences, and the results of the research carried out as a part of this theses. The research aimed to determine what factors motivate young viewers in Czechia to use video on demand, at what occasions and in what physical and social context. A qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews was used to research a sample of 15 respondents aged 18-34 living in Czechia. The research helped uncover the reasons leading to the use of video on demand, including content availability, simplicity and accessibility of the platforms, a large content offer, the influence of their close ones, absence of ads, the possibility of accessing content legally, and the desire to improve language skills. When choosing a specific platform to use, young adults consider the availability of specific content on the platform and the user interface. Their habits in using a particular platform also factor into their decision-making. The research showed that using video on demand fulfils six primary functions: relaxation, education, socialization, filling free time, and escapism. Viewers either watch content with...

Mimoprodukční využití usedlosti Kvítkův Dvůr v Českém Krumlově
ČERMÁK, Jan
The bachelor's thesis deals with non-agricultural production of the homestead Kvítkův Dvůr in Český Krumlov. The area of the Kvítkův Dvůr homestead was originally a part of the Český Krumlov chateau and supplied the chateau and its surroundings with agricultural products. It has always been an important landscape element around Český Krumlov. It is currently in a neglected state and there is a vision for the future of the restoration of the homestead with its own specific production. The aim of this work is to evaluate the potential of the area of the historic homestead Kvítkův Dvůr in Český Krumlov in terms of the basic dimensions of the principle of sustainability. To evaluate the potential, an extensive data collection was performed, on the basis of which an opportunity study was performed using SWOT and SMART analysis tools. The results show specific possibilities of non-production use, which are discussed in the work from the position of the author. The results also show there are several fundamental problems in the project that will not be so easy to solve. It is mainly a matter of changing and stabilizing property relations between the complex and its surroundings, as well as great financial demands and the right choice of financing. Given the above results, the option of buying the monument and financing its reconstruction and further development by the state with the help of subsidy and foundation forms of financing seems to be one of the good solutions.

Identification of opportunities and threats for the selected company
ŠÍMA, Martin
The diploma thesis deals with opportunities and threats identification in a particular company. To detect its opportunities and threats, the company has to analyse micro and macro environment, at first. In order to analyse company's macro environment, the STEP analysis is used. The STEP analysis facilitates external factors identification and its possible effects on a company in the near future. The micro environment analysis is carried out by The Porter's model of five competitive forces in the industry, supplemented by points and comparison of the largest competitors. At the same time, An analysis of selected financial indicators is performed, which together with Porter's model of five competitive forces in the sector reveals the company's strengths and weaknesses. After processing all the information and subsequent evaluation using SWOT analysis, recommendations are proposed. These eliminate hidden threats and take advantage of the opportunities, which the agency employment market undoubtedly offers.
ANALYSIS OF MARKETING ENVIRONMENT IN VÝSTAVIŠTĚ ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE, A. S.
SUCHÁ, Veronika
Exhibitions and trade fairs have formed an integral part of the market in the Czech Republic. No matter whether its size is small, medium or large, every company becomes increasingly interested in knowledge of its environment (both internal and external). What is also important is correct assessment of internal conditions and their optimal connection with the external environment factors. The companies do not take up with the statement that there are strong and weak points, opportunities and risks. It is important to examine the factors, assess them and use the ascertained facts to increase prosperity. I used the analysis of the Porter{\crq}s Five Forces Model to ascertain the company micro-environment. I divided the collected information into two groups. The first group concerned the information about the company itself while the second one characterized the company environment (customers, suppliers and competitors). The first important group which forms a part of the company environment is the customers. The customers of the exhibition grounds in České Budějovice can be divided into two groups: the first group consists of exhibitors and traders, and the second one is the visitors. The company has various promotional and advertising printed materials elaborated by its suppliers. As far as the competitors in the Czech Republic are concerned, these are particularly the fair managements that organize fairs on the same or similar topics. As the macro-environment of the company, the whole of the Czech Republic can be defined, however, the most important part is the region of South Bohemia. In this region, the factors characteristic for the area, such as lower economic power, lower purchase power and considerable saving behaviour of the region population, have to be taken into account.

Mustafina, Marta ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kalibová, Květa (referee) ; Sidorenko, Alexandre (referee)
Quantum and tempo of population ageing process in the twelve countries of the former Soviet Union: Challenges, opportunities and public policies Abstract Population ageing is an omnipresent phenomenon which brings along unprecedented challenges to socio-economic development, especially to employment, social security and public health sectors. The broad goal of this doctoral thesis was to demonstrate that it is time to recognize the importance of population ageing and its dynamics even in the countries with relatively young population structures and to take urgent action through implementation of corresponding policy interventions in order to mitigate and eliminate the upcoming negative consequences and utilize potential opportunities. Research on population ageing in both more and less developed countries is abundant. However, amidst numerous studies, countries of the former Soviet Union remain largely overlooked. Besides, the quantum and tempo of population ageing have not been adequately addressed in the existing literature worldwide. This research addresses, to the best of our knowledge for the first time, those issues. Holistic approach to gap analysis was adopted to guide this study. The analysis was performed in three steps. The first step incorporated the identification and analysis of the observed...
