Managing Foreign Exchange Risk: Case of Manufactory Company

The thesis primarily deals with the foreign exchange risk in the manufactory company Šroubárna Kyjov spol. s r.o. The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the current situation in the company using selected elements of financial analysis and performing strategic analysis. Based on the analysis of the foreign exchange risk in previous years and on the basis of the CZK/EUR exchange rate forecast, measures were proposed for the next period.
Exchange rate differences - accounting and financial

Exchange rate differences arise from Accountancy Law No. 563/1991 Coll. According to this law, accounting entities have to keep books of accounts in Czech currency. Main objective of this work is to present what exchange rates differences mean, how they are created and how the rate profit or loss can affect economical indicators. Detected information is applied in a selected company. Exchange rates are very important in international business transaction. It interferes with accounting and finance. Rates are very important in the field of accounting. Accounting entities choose between fixed and daily rates, they prefer daily rates to fixed rates. The main objective in the field of finance is to find out effective protection against exchange rate loss, because most of companies are not protected against exchange rate loss. Another interesting part is comparison between Czech laws and International laws.
Exchange rate risk management in international business

The aim of this thesis is to explain operations with financial derivatives in the context of risk management by giving the example of the specific Czech company. The theoretical part of the thesis concentrates on the definition and initiation of the exchange rate risk and financial derivatives. In the practical part this theoretical knowledge is applied to the specific Czech company. Key factors affecting an exchange rate risk are identified along with recommendations to improve the company's risk management strategy.

The subject of this bachelor thesis Possibilities and Methods of Exchange Rate Risk Management is to understand how the exchange rate risk arises and how it can be managed, analysis of methods and options of exchange rate risk management and determination of exchange rate risk by the international stock company Orco Property Group S.A. which eliminates the unfavorable impacts of the development of individual of the functional currencies of the subsidiaries on the consolidated balance sheet. The first part focuses on the understanding of the course risk management process from a theoretical point of view. The second part introduces Orco, its financial analysis, analysis of its foreign exchange exposure and currency risk management.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of exchange rate risk and the possibilities of its management in the corporate sphere. The aim of the thesis is to analyze implications of the Czech national bank's exchange rate commitment for the financial management of the export-oriented company on the hypothetical data. The benefit of the thesis is the comparison of different hedging opportunities offered by Czech banks and also the possibilities and impacts of hedging under different foreign exchange arrangements on the financial management in the microsphere.
Foreign exchange risk management in an international company

The growth of the international business offers the chance for companies to enter new markets in order to increase their revenues. The transactions in foreign currencies are influenced by the impacts of the volatility of the exchange rates in the sense that an unfavorable evolution of the exchange rates can result in a considerable loss. The main aim of this thesis is to analyze the process, the strategy and the overall importance of the management of the foreign exchange risk in the context of an international company. The theoretical part introduces foreign exchange rates, three types of the foreign exchange risks and it further focuses on the basic techniques used for measuring the risk and the methods for its management. The practical part focuses not only on the foreign exchange risk management for the company's global level, but also on providing a detailed analysis of the foreign exchange impact on its three subsidiaries.
Evaluation of the Financial Situation of a Company and Proposals for Improvement

This diploma thesis focuses on the assessment of the financial situation of Mediterran Slovakia ltd. between 2003 and 2015 with chosen methods and indicators of economic and financial analysis. Obtained data are compared with the data of three competing companies to better illustrate the company´s situation. There are some proposed measures to improve the company’s financial situation based on the gained information.

Bachelor thesis is focused on the foreign exchange rate risk and the possibility of its minimization. The theoretical part describes the methods of external and internal hedging. The first practical part describes products offered by major banks on the Czech market. The second practical part is devoted to the specific example of export and import companies, which found themselves in the unsecured and secured situations due to the external methods of forward contracts and currency options. Everything is set in the period before and after the interventions of the CNB in 2013, in order to answer, whether it was possible for export and import companies to secure themselves before the intervention, so they can profit from the change of exchange rate.
The financial impact of monetary factors in the selected company

This dissertation evaluates development of exchange rates and its specific effects on STAP company a.s. The aim of this paper is to present the events that have had influence on the development of the exchange rate between Euro and Czech Crown and precautionary measures taken by STAP a.s. to prevent related risks. The first part comprises a summary of events that had a significant impact on the exchange rate development; the risks created by these events and methods devised to prevent these risks. The second part evaluates the specific financial derivatives used by STAP a.s. and their impact. Finally the recommendation is made for the future more effective usage of the financial instruments.
Company Risk Management of Foreign Exchange Rate

In the last part of thesis there are specific options of elimination exchange rate risk.
