Proposal for Activities Improving Competitiveness of Skoda Auto Pvt. Ltd. in India

This thesis is focusing on increasing the competitiveness of Škoda Auto Pvt. Ltd. and its production in India. The theoretical part contains a definition of globalization, international business and cultural differences based on a theory of Dutch psychologist Geert Hofstede. The practical part is analyzing specifications of the automobile industry in India and its growth. Furthermore it investigates the positions of Czech car producer Škoda Auto and its competitiveness within this industry. The data obtained were used in preparation of several variants. These variants are designed to improve the competitive position of Škoda Auto Pvt. Ltd. on the market.
Business and cultural specificities of South Korea

The theme of my bachelor thesis is to approach the business and cultural specificities of the Republic of Korea. The first chapter represents South Korea as a country in East Asia, its geographical location, population, short history including current political system. The second chapter analyses main macroeconomic indicators and their course during last ten years. The third chapter mentions the main business partners, membership of South Korea in the international organizations and mutual relationship with the Czech Republic. The fourth chapter deals with Korean culture and its influence on business negotiations, also includes opinions and knowledge of South Koreans living long-term in the Czech Republic.
Cultural and business specifics of Canada

This bachelor thesis deals with crucial cultural and business specifics of Canada. First chapter approaches country from geographic, demographic, political and historical perspective. Second chapter describes its current economic situation and the foreign trade of the state - Canadian import and export. Following chapter focuses on aspects of Canadian business negotiation and business etiquette. The last chapter of my bachelor thesis classifies cultural differences between Canada and Czech Republic using Hofstede's dimensions.
Business and Cultural Specialties of South Africa

This Bachelor thesis should primarily be used as a guide for potential businessmen planning a long-term stay in order to do business in South Africa. It aims to provide the information about the possibilities of doing business for Czech, as well as other foreign investors, with a focus on the cultures of South Africa. The comprehensive understanding of cultural diversity is one of the key factors for setting up a successful business. When working on this thesis I tried to incorporate information from various sources, together with my personal experience after visiting the country. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first discusses the general characteristics of South Africa, the second part is dedicated to localized cultural studies, and the third section analyses international trade with a focus on experiences of Czech expatriates living in South Africa.
Czech-Canadian business cooperation with regards to cultural differences

The aim of the thesis is the analysis of business relations between the Czech Republic and Canada in terms of trade and cultural differences. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter presents Canada in terms of geography, demographic and describes the history of Canada. The second chapter focuses on the economic characteristics of the country, particularly macroeconomic indicators and international trade. The third chapter is devoted to Czech-Canadian business relations, the commodity structure of trade and industry perspective for Czech exports. The fourth chapter focuses on cultural diversity, knowledge of which is essential for business cooperation.
Czech-hungarian business cooperation with regards to cultural differences

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe Hungary not only from the economical and business point of view, but also from the point of view of cultural differences typical for this country. Knowledge of those cultural specifics might have a substantial significance for business relations. The work is divided into five chapters. First chapter provides a general description of Hungary and takes historical and political factors that might have influence on business into account. Second chapter presents economy of Hungary, macroeconomic and economic development and international trade. Third chapter follows with a description of the Czech-hungarian business relations. Cultural differences, business protocol and etiquette are the topics of the fourth chapter. Part of this chapter is also an analysis of cultural dimensions of Hungary by G. Hofstede, followed by a description of the Czech center in Budapest and an interview with a former director of this center. Finally, the last chapter is a practical part which assesses a survey. The conclusion provides a summary of the most important findings from the thesis and considers if Hungary might be a promising business partner for the Czech Republic.
Business and cultural specificities of Belgium

The theme of my bachelor thesis is the business and cultural specificities of Belgium. The first chapter will introduce the general knowledge of the state, such as geography, history, demography and political system. In the next chapter I'm writing about economic and business characteristics. The last chapter is about culture and life in Belgium, business negotiations and dissimilarities between the Walloons and Flemings, and also about the diversity of Czechs and Belgians, which includes opinions and knowledge of business managers.
Czech-Colombian business cooperation with consideration of cultural differences

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the business relations between the Czech Republic and Colombia and to compare both cultures. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with the general characteristics of Colombia. The second chapter is focused on the economic situation of Colombia, which includes the analysis of macroeconomic indicators and a description of international trade. The third chapter introduces the Czech-Colombian business relations, which includes the trade balance, the commodity structure of export and import, and most important Czech companies featured on the Colombian market. The following chapter is devoted to cultural and business specifics, including a comparison of both countries according to Geert Hosfede. The last chapter includes interviews with specialists of Colombian market.

Bachelor`s thesis deals with the issue of measuring living standards using the indicators that depict it`s material side, mainly GDP. It uses indicators of material living standards and alternative indicators of living standards. Secondly it deals with participation of the English and the Spanish in tourism. Required data were obtained from secondary sources. The questionnaire survey was made to bring subjective views of each country`s citizens on their living standards, focusing on factors that affect the choice of vacation. Secondary and primary data are put into context with each other and complemented with recommendations for subjects doing business in tourism.
