Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem automobilového průmyslu v Indii se zaměřením na aktivity české společnosti Škoda Auto India Pvt. Ltd., jejich zhodnocení a navrhnutí možných změn k lepší konkurenceschopnosti společnosti na indickém trhu. Teoretická část diplomové práce shrnuje témata týkající se zahraničního obchodu, globalizace, kulturních odlišností a metody používané k analýze společnosti, trhu a konkurentů. V praktické části jsou tyto metody přímo aplikované na společnost Škoda Auto India Pvt. Ltd. a její hlavní konkurenty. Na základě informací zjištěných z analýz je v závěru práce navrhnuto řešení, které by zvýšilo konkurenceschopnost společnosti Škoda Auto Pvt. Ltd. v Indii. This thesis is focusing on increasing the competitiveness of Škoda Auto Pvt. Ltd. and its production in India. The theoretical part contains a definition of globalization, international business and cultural differences based on a theory of Dutch psychologist Geert Hofstede. The practical part is analyzing specifications of the automobile industry in India and its growth. Furthermore it investigates the positions of Czech car producer Škoda Auto and its competitiveness within this industry. The data obtained were used in preparation of several variants. These variants are designed to improve the competitive position of Škoda Auto Pvt. Ltd. on the market.
