Air conditioning in a nursing home
Kuthan, Tomáš ; Rubina, Aleš (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the design of air conditioning and refrigeration in a nursing home. The aim is to design suitable ventilation equipment and a com-fortable indoor microclimate in the building according to applicable regulations and standards. The theoretical part deals with distribution elements and their distribu-tion by type and function.
Airconditioning of the exhibition space
Dokládalová, Tereza ; Jelínek, Ondřej (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
The point of this bachelor thesis is to design two air-conditioning units specifically made for assigned facility with exhibition purposes - archeopark. The units are designed in a way to accomplish operational, functional and hygienical requierements of indoor microclimate. The purpose of these units is to ventilate, cover the heat loss, elimination of heat load, humidification and dehumidification of air. Teoretical part of this thesis deals with indoor microclimate and its influence on a quality of life and also covers terms such as SBS, BRI, PMV and PPD.
Air conditioning for the youth center
Trnka, Daniel ; Uher, Pavel (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the design of air conditioning and refrigeration for youth center. The aim is to design suitable ventilation equipment and a comfortable in-door microclimate in the building according to applicable regulations and standards. The theoretical part deals with air conditioning units and their distribution and description of components..
Methodology of the Principles of Rehabilitation of Cultural Heritage Buildings
Balík L. ; Nedvědová K. ; Šimůnek I. ; Kudrnáčová L. ; Bolom-Kotari S.
The aim of the presented methodology is to summarize the rehabilitation principles that can be applied in the context of the repair of historic buildings. The methodology defines the fundamental influences that affect the approach to rehabilitation and also specifies the individual steps that are part of the actual implementation. Attention is paid to three basic areas of rehabilitation measures. These are addressing moisture and related problems, modifying the indoor microclimate, and restoring or strengthening the structural function of the building. Concerning conservation aspects, the principles presented are directed predominantly towards conserving and prolonging the life of the existing structural elements, taking into account future use and operation. The preservation of the original forms and functions of the individual structures is pursued as far as possible. The target group of users of this methodology is conservation officers, designers, owners, and managers of historic buildings. The methodology provides these users with the basic information for initiating the restoration of monuments.

The Effect of a Green Roof vs. a Conventional Flat Roof on Thermal Stability of a Building
Polášek, Josef ; Průša, David ; Šťastník, Stanislav ; Šuhajda, Karel
The presented work deals with assessing the influence of a green roof on the temperature course in individual rooms of a timber structure by the so-called dynamic numerical modelling method, which is based on the principle of non-stationary differential Schmidt method. Climatic data from the meteorological station at Brno Tuřany airport were used as boundary conditions for the calculation.
Airconditioning of a pair of operating theaters and their background
Salajka, Radek ; Blasinski, Petr (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
The topic of this Bachelor thesis is a design of HVAC system that provides ventilation and air conditioning of pair of operation rooms and their utilities. Air conditioning units meet all hygienic, operational and functional requirements for the indoor microclimate. The computational part is designed on implementation project level. The theoretical part deals with clean rooms and their implementation.
Impact of climate change on energy performance and indoor environment quality of buildings
Kalný, Richard ; Sánka, Imrich (referee) ; Weyr, Jan (advisor)
This thesis examines the impacts of possible climate change on selected buildings. For simulations in program BSim the author uses climatic data of SRES scenarios, specifically models B1, A1B and A2. It also includes a research on global warming, design and optimization of the measurement and control system at the production hall and a part of the energy audit for the office building.
Modeling, simulation and experimental measurement of reaction of systems heating / ventilation requirements of regulation
Matějíček, Michal ; Komínek, Petr (referee) ; Hirš, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the behavior of technical systems of the student dormitory in Brno. The temperature and humidity climate was measured and evaluated in the building. The measurement is then compared with the computer simulation created in DesignBuilder. The geometric model of the building was created in Revit, which supports BIM technology. Based on the evaluation of the experiment, the optimization of the technical systems in the building was proposed.
Air conditioning of the pool halls
Slabá, Jana ; Formánek, Marian (referee) ; Blasinski, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the description of the properties of humid air, its evaporation and its chemical composition. Calculation of the amount of evaporated water from the water surface or condensate evaporation during the drying process using domestic appliances, for rooms with permanent humidity and wet operation. In the theoretical part I will deal specifically with the methods of calculation of the evaporation and the properties of the inner microclimate depending on the external conditions with its influence on the building structures and the persons who will be present in such a microclimate. A solution of the air-conditioning unit is taken from the bachelor's thesis and three other variants of air-conditioning units are designed, which are compared in the framework of the optimal and economical solution for operation in the pool environment. The experimental part is focused on specific examples of calculation and measurement. The measurement deals with year-round moisture measurements in damp rooms in family buildings, specifically in bathrooms. Another part of the experimental measurement will be the determination of the amount of evaporated water from a domestic appliance designed to dry the laundry in a condensing manner. And the main, fundamental measurement is the amount of evaporated water on a particular model of the pool hall.
